My wife is a Filipina living in the Philippines, so I would just pad my trip with an extra day or two in Manila. It was smooth sailing. But I met a long term partner (essentially wife #2) and it got complicated then after my wife found out I had been spending a lot of time on her. My last trip was about a month ago. My cover story was a 3. 5 day camping trip with no cell connection (which is very possible where I live, and I do 3-4 times every year). Instead, I got the 10 hour direct flight to Manila and flew my partner there for two days and spent time together then. I would never do that for mongering, but for my purposes, it worked. I don't really monger there anymore because no need. My need is back at home, but I work all the time and save money for when I am in Philippines. Though an AMP is sounding nice right now. . .

After talking to mongers, it's pretty common to find that they have a picket fence life at home too.
Some have cover stories or hobbies. I once dived with a guy who literally wrote the book in nudibranches, small but very colourful caterpillar like things that live amongst coral. Every year he came to the Philippines to go to 'Slugfest'. It's a real event and apparently attended by a lot of people interested in, well, slugs. So stupid that no-one ever questioned him nor wanted to come along.
Other guys work as Asian reps and come across regularly to sell or support their widgets. Some even set up businesses or manufacturing facilities but that can be fraught with drama so tread carefully and know what you are doing. A subset of this is the expat scene where one works overseas, sometimes for decades.
Some disclose what they are doing and have agreed open relationships but more common is some form of don't ask don't tell where everyone secretly knows what is going on but it's easier to not confront the subject. Depending on one's means this might include keeping the family in a comfortable enough life that it's not worth them rocking the boat and potentially loosing it all.
Have fun but I would caution not to kid yourself that it's a secret that can be kept forever. People will put two and two together over the years and work out what is going on. Great if it's tolerated and ignored but in the West can get very messy if if it's not. The old saying 'don't do the crime if you can't do the time' jumps to mind.
Obviously, the biggest question that mongers don't talk about is what happens when she starts doing the same thing? What's good for the goose.

I've been in Angeles almost a month and I'm leaving soon. Now I have the option of staying here longer if I wanted but I'm leaving for for Thailand soon and not changing my plans.
This is my consensus to the question. Outside of the bars and the girls, and the city is a shithole with not much to do. But is all you're looking for is to drink and to have sex with young attractive women on a daily basis, Angeles city is not a bad place to be. The bars work in in aggregating the girls in one place who are willing to have sex with you for a certain price so you don't have to do much work. There are enough girls for you to have a different girl everyday if you wanted for a while. Sometimes the girl is good in bed and sometimes the girl is not so good but there will be sex. Now the problem is if you're not in the mood to drink or have sex, it can get boring after a while. Also bar area is a very small section and you will basically be doing the same thing day after day and week after week month after month. But if you're this type of guy who's just interested in having sex everyday with don't attractive women, I can see this place being a wonderful place for you.
For myself, I do have other interests so Angeles city is too limited for me in the long run. But for a visit of 1 to 3 weeks on vacation, if you're from the West and are sex starved, this is not a bad place to visit.

But I've done a lot of the Big Animal stuff like Maldives, Soccoro, Komodo etc (Cocos and Red Sea are on the list) and now looking for something different. I think Macro is interesting if you are a photographer. I've just bought some UW photography gear and am going to Anilao in March to try and get some good shots of Nudi's and the other Macro. Its good to have a change and also Macro is easy shore diving vs Big animal which is best done via Live Aboards. What does this have to do with mongering? Nothing but its more interesting than the usual pissing contests of what a 8 is.

Guide and some truths for any noobies planning a visit to angeles city.
There is no doubt that angeles city has become very popular with our korean friends, koreans out number westerners by multiple amounts, the koreans have bought up almost every new bar, new hotel, new restaurant, they even have their own police force and korean only girl delivery service by van service straight to their door and by far the koreans have the better lookers on their arm.
But 1st things 1st, what angeles like as a place to visit.
Angeles city in truth is basically a 3rd world shithole, why, the terrible pollution, the crazy traffic, very bad infustructure, the terrible tasteless food, totally crap internet, begging thieving street kids, pickpockets, phone snatchers and trike drivers acting agressive, the many dangers and scams that abound, there is a reason every hotel, every store even the smallest of stores have the need of heavily armed guards.
Walking street Bars.
Well this can be separated into two distinct types, the type that attracts westerners and the type that attracts koreans, the western bars tend to be very quiet for both the number of girls and punters, think most bars 3- 10 girls with some bars having absolutely no or very few customers most of the night, one or two bars are a bit more busy, mostly with long term western expats especially during happy hour or pool / darts competition nights, girl quality in the western bars is low, mostly girls 28-45 years of age, fatter, high mileage girls, I visit the very few left western bars on many occasions with western friends but many times we don't even see one girl worth buying a lady drink for let alone bar fining, local punter drinks normally 100 peso to 150 peso, lady drinks 300 peso to 350 peso, normally lady drinks are only a small juice.
Korean bars,
The korean bars tend to be by far more professionally run, are the big show bars and Korean bars are by far the most bars in number (almost all) have nice decor, good dance shows and good entertainment on stage, much better quality girls over all, although not all girls are young, slim and attractive there are though in most korean bars a few that are fairly attractive, although the top girls tend to not barfine with anyone, instead choosing to stay in the bar and earn large from lady drinks commissions, making it rain money and sitting tips, there are though still some girls that will barfine, unfortunately if one is not korean and spending large in the bar then one will be out of luck, why, they are korean only girls, westerners that want to barfine from the korean bars might only be able to choose from the girls the koreans don't want, (bottom feeder girls) punter drinks normally 120 peso to 200 peso, lady drinks,350 to 400 peso.

Might take on Angeles is that it's not as good as you think but is also not as bad as you think. If you were here on a short vacation and are not put off by the bar fines and well groomed and not obnoxious, you will have a good time with young attractive girls. However if you are smelly, don't pay much attention to your appearance, rude, aggressive, abrasive or really unattractive, or all of the above, it will affect your ability to get young attractive girls to go with you.

I have also mentioned that there is a lower price option here in Angeles with the online girls. Now I'm eating some delicious garlic chicken at the Kenny Rogers Roasters at the SM Mall now. My trip is almost over and I generally enjoyed my month's stay here. Good place to visit but not necessarily a great place to retire.

Korean van girl delivery service. That is not what it is. I have observed those vans. These are just regular hotel transportation vans provided as a courtesy to hotel guests. At certain times, they leave from the hotel to the beginning of Walking Street. At certain times, they return and pick up hotel guests who may or may not have girls with them to return to the hotel. What these vans are not doing are picking up girls from the bars and delivering them to the hotel. If you think about it, it doesn't make any sense.
