We used to consider the 3-3-3 Korean joke to be: 3 inches, 3 minutes, and 3 k pesos (back when most barfines were about p1500-2000), which made the girls wildly happy.

My big point is don't worry about the Koreans, worry about yourself. Just try to have the best time that you can have and don't worry about what other people pay. No need to try to put other races down to elevate yourself.

But We're not talking about any races, only about a particular nationality, that fucks things up (for us) wherever they go.

What I don't like is the transformation of places from something beautiful and true to its nature: bars filled with almost naked "destitute and illiterate single mom's and peasant girls" into places where they are presented as something else, evening dressed Hollywood gala stars. Yes I know what they are, and that's the same in US, or EU also, beside some rare instances of needy students, paying the way thru college.

So if your post is in reply to my comments, you got me all wrong, I'm saying exactly the same thing as you do, I just don't like the new acquiring system put in place by our Korean friends for the same old goods. Probably it is so to keep the incoming hoards familiar with what they see at home, but cannot afford it there.

As a side note: I'm in Sihanoukville right now, and after I see what the chinese have done to this place, the koreans transformations in PH seem irrelevant, it can be much, much, much worse. Can't wait to get back "home" to AC.

Check out the threads on Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico and the list goes on. Like the Koreans coming to Angeles City, cities in Latin America are much closer to American cities. Cities in Mexico are 2 hours away from cities in Texas. Costa Rica is only 2-3 hours from cities in Florida. And yet, here we are in Angeles City which is very close to South Korea and Westerners are whining and complaining about these Koreans coming over and jacking the prices just like we have done throughout Latin America. Yes, as noted, it is very hypocritical to think that the Koreans are doing something that is very different from what Americans have been doing for years.

I'd definitely agree that we are fortunate that it has been the Koreans and not the Chinese. Maybe 20 years ago it was looking like the Chinese were taking over several of the foreigner areas. I don't think they did much in AC but they were moving in on one of my favourites, Sabang. Rather than Koreans showing a preference for their own, the Chinese were operating a total lockout model where everything was kept inhouse through tours prepaid back home and the use of affiliated restaurants, hotels bars etc. It wasn't Whitie complaining about all the good girls being taken, he didn't even get to see them in the first place and he wasn't even allowed in.
