The other two presidents during my working life whose economic policies I credit with contributing significantly to my happy retirement were LBJ and Carter. I guess my strong recommendation to any American worker wanting a happy, financially comfortable retirement is vote Democrat and buy in California.
BTW, Biden does not have dementia. Zero evidence of it. What you are hearing in his occasional verbal bobbles is his way of overcoming a tendency to stutter, a lifelong affliction. When he hits a word in a sentence that he instantly identifies as a potential stutter trigger he just as instantly replaces it with a perfectly acceptable alternate word and continues on with the meaning and message of that sentence. He is actually quite brilliant at it considering the kind of specialized grammar his chosen vocation requires.
California? You were lucky to move there decades ago when it was solidly Republican (Nixon and Reagan were governors) or in the immediate aftermath. The California of today, after decades of third world migration turned it democrat, is a shithole. If you buy there now, particularly as a white man, you stand to lose your home to some wacky new "affirmation action reparations racial justice", or in the best case scenario get utterly annihilated by taxes. This stuff, along with the homeless and their needles and shit in the streets, are among the reasons so many Americans are leaving California. And the fact that it elected Kamala Harris, a white-hating, man-hating diversity hire nonentity who literally got her break by fucking and sucking the married mayor of San Francisco 30 years her senior.
As for Biden's so-called stutter. It's bullshit. Watch his speeches from the 80's and 90's. He speaks perfectly clearly. What he says is stupid of course, but he says it without any hint of a stutter. This whole story was invented by his handlers and pushed by the fake news to try and hide the fact that he is a senile old man whose brain is mush.

Because we're tribal
I am a Joe Rogan point on the spectrum.
Again, I highly respect your posts, which are insightful, up to and including the latest.
That said, I think you perhaps mis categorize me as being at one end.
If I have, my apologies.
America is so tribal today, it would be funny if it weren't so sad. We all get caught up in this endless and idiotic war of words. An Uber driver makes a dumb political remark, then studies my reaction in the mirror.
WTF!
Anyway, I always enjoy reading your stuff and hope to see you in person soon.
Cheers!
What "facts" are you talking about Xpartan? The head of Fulton County elections is a hack who previously kicked out Republican observers four years before his stint in Fulton County. He kicked out a Republican judge before!
Now he goes to Fulton County. There is a fucking video of a woman telling everyone to go home and people are on the video putting tarps over the ballot boxes. Four people stay behind. Republican observers leave the vote counting area. These four pull out ballot boxes and run ballots through the machine.
The Republican observers go to a centralized station. They see the area where they left still has votes being counted. They go back to that station and 2 hours has passed.
None of this is disputed.
Given the speed with which the machines counted the votes, it is possible that the ballots ran during that time frame could have given Biden Georgia.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/joewalsh/2020/12/04/no-atlanta-didnt-count-ballots-in-secret-or-in-suitcases/?sh=edb7e14e5a42.
You don't care one iota about the integrity of the election. If you did, you'd ask questions like "Can we trust the down-ballot vote counts?" or "How come there's no fraud in Houston, Columbus, etc? In truth, all you really care about is perpetuating "the election was stolen" nonsense.

Oh, speaking of senile old men with mush for brains, this is a link for one of a series of videos called "Trump's Best Words". This link is for the 2019 edition. Hilarious! Sometimes these posted links don't work. Sorry about that. But just do a YouTube search for them under that name.

LOL. There are a few of them at about 3-4 minutes each. I don't think you could find even one 3 minute video of as many flubbed and godknowswhat words coming out of Biden's mouth culled from his entire time in politics. Yet, that Trump video series is just from when he was a one-term, twice Impeached so-called potus.
Dude,
How many cities did "right-wing terrorists" burn and loot last year? Did "right-wing terrorists" set up armed autonomous zones from which police were banned and in which fascism was the law? Nope. That was all far-left antifa communists. Try and look at reality, rather than fake news agenda.
Dude,
Last I checked Portland is standing and was hardly burned to the ground, so we can skip the hyperbole. Also your typical Antifa member follows Anarchism, an ideology very different from Communism. Fascism is also distinctly different from Communism though you call them both in the same breath. You simply aren't educated, and it would be too generous to call such the product of fake wingnut news, but is more likely only from grasping at straws at whatever however contradictory social media posts you find appealing.
Also how many people have Antifa members killed? What about White Supremacists? As of now considering the last 25 year the latter has a lead of 329-0.
https://www.businessinsider.com/right-wing-extremists-kill-329-since-1994-antifa-killed-none-2020-7
And once again White Supremacists represent our greatest domestic terrorist threat, according to Trump's DHS in a 10/2020 report, a report he tried to stop from publication. Antifa wasn't even mentioned.
https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/2020_10_06_homeland-threat-assessment.pdf
Last but not least, let's not forget the "right-wing extremists" at the Capital, Camp Auschwitz shirts, bombs, zip ties, beating police officers to death while trying to stop an electoral college count. Nor sir, don't leave that one out.
Wingnut extremists are the much greater threat. No amount of whining about fake news, big tech, or "the corporate media" excluding Fox of course while swimming head first in your own sea of propaganda will make these facts go away. Nor will ignoring rebuttals and repeating the same fallacies over and over in a monger forum. Though many have been trying this method for a very long time.
Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone.
Lost credibility at "Nixon was governor (of California)". Think he lost an election to Pat Brown once
My bad, Nixon won the California Senate election of 1950, and won the state in the presidential elections of 1960, 1968 and 1972, but he did indeed lose the 1962 gubernatorial election. An early case of leftwing media bias, back when people believed what they saw and read in the media. And of course, Pat Brown wasn't advocating open borders, defunding the police, disarming the population, and ranting about "white supremacy", whatever that is.
Actions speak louder than words, numb nuts.
[blue][Deleted by Admin][/blue] And most Americans agree. Hell, even the FOX News and Rasmussen polls have Biden's Job Approval Rating at 54% and 55% with a consensus of the RCP polls at a high that incoherent blathering Trump never achieved but so very much wished for. Unfortunately for him, they were not rating his ability to sit in a golf cart and tweet only marginally more coherent but easily debunked lies.

Show me the videos of Biden trailing off and forgetting what he was going to say. The videos I have seen claiming to show that are of him realizing he was about to go on a tangent on a side issue, a lengthy story and talk too much, something he was roundly criticized for in the past and he has tried to curtail. Instead he gets back to the point of his remark and closes it. Or they are deceptively edited videos to make it look that way. They are not of him getting lost, forgetting what he was going to say or with a vacant stare.
Some may remember the time in an earlier presidential nomination run where the first question he was asked at a debate was if he would be able to shorten his replies and not go on and on with overly detailed and side issue responses. His one word answer, "Yes", was the funniest and most memorable hit of the debate. He learned from those years so now he catches himself to avoid sliding back into an old habit.
By contrast, those "Trump's Best Words" videos are not deceptively edited to make it look like Trump is not aware of his repeated incoherent thinking and blathering. He really is aware of it. But he assumes his devoted audience is too stupid to notice or care and doesn't have enough honesty and regard for them to simply say, "excuse me, I meant to say..."

And thank you for citing sources, something we see almost none of from the conservative minded mongers among us.

Of course none of that is surprising given where we are, or for anyone that has had conversations with angry wingnuts around overseas mongering watering holes, but don't expect any sources or analysis of the same. It simply isn't in the DNA.

Portland
If some would take a few minutes to do a bit of research rather than just swallow hook, line, and sinker everything Hannity, Tucker, and other right wing media drama queens tell them, they might become acquainted with some balance and reality. So for emphasis I'll pose the questions again, how many people has Antifa killed in the last 25 years? Zero, zilch, cero. And how many people have White Supremacist extremists killed in the same time frame? 329. Now we move, from Media Matters:
"But while both the administration and Fox's hosts are suggesting that the entire city is under siege, the reality is far more prosaic. 'The images that populate national media feeds, however, come almost exclusively from a tiny point of the city: a 12-block area surrounding the Justice Center and federal courthouse,' The Oregonian reported. 'And they occur exclusively during late-night hours in which only a couple hundred or fewer protesters and scores of police officers are out in the city's coronavirus-hollowed downtown. ' The paper explained that that's when 'tensions flare,' as a 'small number' of demonstrators 'poke and prod officers to engage,' and the officers respond by using 'tear gas, foam-tipped projectiles and other munitions' to disperse the crowd. ".
I'll be damned. From listening to all the Chicken Littles you'd think that the city of Portland no longer exists, that the entire city limits is nothing but rubble and flames. Lolol.

Here another article so entitled:
Feds, right-wing media paint Portland as 'city under siege. ' A tour of town shows otherwise.

These exaggerations were all part of Trump's re-election strategy, law and order, race card as always, with the implication that unruly blacks were coming to the burbs to rape their daughters and kill everyone. This was in hopes of saving enough of the suburban midwestern voters he needed in spite of showing his ass constantly, bungling the pandemic and delivering little in the way of industrial jobs to the region. It didn't work though while he was completely made a fool of January 6th.
