As an expat I'm constantly pleasantly surprised at the resourcefulness of the average DR chica. Street smart they are. (Sosua and BC hardcores that end up on the street, are the exception, not the rule).
My regular has no formal schooling to speak of, but when it comes to plain common sense, she could buy and sell the Prague Press Attache, the International Lawyer and the International Education PhD I had long term normal relationships with.

Went to the bus station to take a bus to Sosua. Metro was closed. Went to Caribe. The guy told me that the last bus was at 1. 00 PM and it was full. Go figure! Took an Uber over the mountain road.
The days have been very beautifully bright but also very hot. There are some chicks but when I visit the main st, it is curfew time and everyone is scrambling.
