Agree with your assessment. Last trip to Panama / Habanos in May, there were maybe three girls in the bar at 2 am on a Saturday night and no guys and they wanted $200 initially. Ah-Che and VIP La Bodequita (sp?) both dead on a weekend as well. Wasn't ready to make any counter but agreed we would all go back to the Veneto. There were about 30 girls there, still that late. Much easier to negotiate with Veneto girls, but hate that the bar is so small. Some Veneto girl always willing to go for $80. I still prefer the venues in CR for a better selection and personalities of the girls. The Blue Marlin girls with sit and drink with you all night, better potential for a TLN.

Leave for Thailand tomorrow, no comparison to Latin destinations can be made.

Unless you go straight to Colombia

I have been to Panama probably close to 100 times in the last 5 years. The place is not the same. The girls are very profesional and no longer seem to appreciate a nice Gringo.

In anycase, I have never even 5 years ago paid less than $150 at Habanos, Veneto, or Bodeguito. My friend once paid $100 for BJ only.

I always get TLN but, even if I didn't I have never been able or have I seen anyone pull a girl for less than $150.

Now the girls I am pulling are top notch. They are the upper 10 percent of the girls there. I certainly know the game and definately know how to haggle but how everyone is scoring these $100 girls is beyond me. Are they bottom barrel, Are you having to wade through 20 "no's" before finally getting a yes. I wonder.

About 3 years ago a chica I knew that was working down there told me the girls had formed a "pact" and after Jan 1st the new price was going to be $200. 00 Never lower.

I laughed so hard. She made it seem like they were a union.

Anyway that lasted about two days and they all went to $150 again.

Its the all in one destination and the non smoking makes it so much better. I did not get a chance to check out Ache simply because I was so tied up at Veneto at nights.

I saw this petite gorda earlier in the day at Manolos and later that night she was next to me at the blackjack tables and she was well behaved unlike the vast majority who are haggling for a 5 or a 10$ chip all day every day. So, I decided to take her up to my room for $80 / hr and later realized she was a little bit more gorda than her dress revealed, but what the heck, its all fair during a short vacation.

Maybe I am picking more realistic average women, but certainly I am going for what I like. I don't like plastic or cosmetically enhanced or ones wearing heavy make up, I am not looking for the perfect shape, but personality and attitude counts a lot. The more real and girl next door type is what I like. After all my years of mongering I have adjusted to picking the ones that work for me. None of the Le Palace crap, can't stand it. Some of the women I did not even talk about price until it was all said and done. If you are having a good time with the chica then its all based on trust and understanding. If possible I would like to see pics of the 'top notch' types you are referring to, only out of curiosity.

I am planning a trip to Panama City, and have not been there since 2001, and it seems much has changed. I went through the last year of reports in this thread and came up with a on page run down. I ask that anyone please jump in if I missed something or should be corrected.

As far as the current situation is concerned I understand that Habanos and Oasis are currently open, however Moulin Rouge and the Dollhouse are still closed. Taxi drivers as usually will say Habanos and all the pickup bar type setups are closed in favor of high end strip clubs where they get a cut.

Friendly Hotels.

1. Hotel Milan: Cangerjo, $65.

2. Tower House Suites: Punta Patilla, $70.

3. Torres de Alba: Cangrejo $65.

4. The Executive Hotel: Av. Aquilino de la Guardia, short distance from Veneto with $10 chica fee. Online reservations broken so no idea of price.

5. Plaza Paitilla: Punta Patilla, $115 to $150.

6. The Las Vegas Suites: Cangrejo next to Veneto, $20 chica fee, no way to determine rate online.

7. Veneto Hotel: $135.

The Veneto seems to be the best option, and I assume they do not charge a chica fee, although please correct me if I am wrong or if any of the other hotels I listed above charge and I did not note it. The Marriott is not chica friendly, however it is possible to sneak a girl into the hotel through the casino, but forget about having girls meet you at the hotel. The El Panama is definitely not chica friendly.

[U]Cangerjo[/U]

The area around Veneto is called Cangerjo, and options here include the Venetto casino bar, Moulin Rouge, Oasis, Doll House. Also in this area, but a few few blocks further south near the Marriott Hotel is Habanos, and Le Palace.

The setup at Habanos is the same, pickup bar like the Vento bar where the girls set their own price, although they do not have a hotel.

The Oasis functions like a massage palour and they have a lunchtime or daytime special rate. They do not have strippers but you can order a drink. Is it more popular at night?

All the night clubs or strip clubs have nude entertainment, cover charges, expensive drinks, more expensive drinks for the ladies, and want $200. $300 for sex offsite.

Ache replaces Bodegeta, and despite being called a "night club" is actually just another bar like Habanos, but has been mentioned as being more popular around 1am. I assume this also is in the same area.

Google Map of the area I found a "Le Madame Night Club". Is this currently open or perhaps is presently named another business?

Is Elite the same place as Elite II or are these separate locations or businesses?

Also, am I missing anything else in this area? Perhaps, Crazy horse?

This is the area around El Dorado mall, which is 2. 4 km away from Hotel El Panama. You can get there from El Cangrejo by taxi for how much? I assume just a couple dollars, and I also notice there is a mass transit system that has a stop at El Dorado. It looks like the closest place to jump on the metro from the Veneto would be the Parada de la Nacional (Tumba Muetro).

The Google map shows a few locations around the Dorado Mall that are mentioned here, the Rey supermarket and also the Do It center.

In this vicinity you can find Golden Times, Gold Fingers, Caribbean Center and the Miami Club. All function as a massage parlor, expect the Miami Club also has a stripper pole where later in the day or the eveving the girls will strip. Expect to pay about $90 in any of these places, but Golden Time seems to be the favorite.

How late is the Miami club open? Also, are the MPs like Golden Time open late as well?

I would like to thank everyone who as shared information so far. I am looking forward to my trip to Panama City, but just want to do the required do diligence before I do the hookers.

There are guys with great raps who can get a 9 or a 10 for $80 on a good day and there are tourists and guys who don't know any better or how to operate who pay $150-$200. I think it's possible to get quite a few of them down to $80 or $90 but I don't like to haggle and can always get them down to $100 from their asking price on the first try.

I think part of the issue may be the manner and body langauge of the negotiation, if you go in expecting to pay $150 and try to counter them when they say it, your response may be weak enough to the point where they know you are bluffing and that you'll cave-in in a second. Also, these girls all talk and know everything that is going on. If you get into the habit of paying $150, you become known as a $150 guy. Even if a girl would gladly go with you for $100 or even $80 on a slow night, she will hold out for $150 because she knows you paid another girl and now here ego is involved. They are competitive as hell. Likewise, if you become know as a $100 guy who knows the game, doesn't tip etc, they will likely not even mention a price and then just agree when you say $100.

Some things to keep in mind:

1. A doctor in Colombia makes about $1, 500 per month- at $150 a pop that is a days work for the girl compared to a month for a guy who spent 8 years in medical school.

2. You can currently get a pretty hot girl of the internet in NYC for $150.

3. Hotter girls than her are giving it away for $60 in her hometown.

You may have to bring your game up a bit as well as have them think you are better aware of different options. :

If they tell you $150, make a face like you just bit a month old apple and inform them that you can get a girl just as pretty for $86 at Golden Time.

Tell them you aren't a tourist and don't pay the rip-off price.

If it's slow and they've been sitting around for a bit, counter their price with yours and tell them "You can sit here and do nothing for an hour or come back with me, make a quick $XX and then be back right back and then you can charge a dopey gringo the $150"

In the unlikely event that they really won't budge off the $150, ask them if they'll come for 40 minutes for $100. You'll most likely only need 40 minutes and they will almost always lose track of time and stay the hour or more anyway.

All the above works a lot better if you can try not to appear desperate or put them up on a pedastal. More points if you can not appear uptight and joke and laugh a little with them etc.

If you are going to be paying the rip-off prices, for the sake of the other guys, please at least don't make it easy on them. Make them haggle and beg a little. If you committ to $150 to easy they will try for $200, if $200 is easy. On and on.

They don't get really going till after 1am at the earliest, likely even later on a weekend night because the girls may go to regular clubs to party with friends before "work". If you hit it right it should be packed to the rafters with extremely hot girls- much hotter than the current selection at the Veneto.
