Quality Argentinian style steakhouse near the US consulate
http://www.asadordeantonio.com/4.html
Excellent NY/Buenos Aires/Chicago style steakhouse grill with excellent ambience and wine list. It is popular with government functionaries, foreign professionals, and embassy staff.
The owner, Antonio, is from Spain and he maintains a sophisticated and comfortable environment. You and the other diners will not be comfortable if anyone engages in indiscreet behaviour such as sucking face with hoes or talking about commercial sex exploits. You can get a consistently high quality meal there and it is a 5-minute or less drive and a direct shot from GBP on the way to Gazcue or the Colonial Zone.
Please don't make me regret this recommendation and cause me to discontinue recommending. Enjoy.
Diamond Mall and wifi hot spots question
after niko and i changed the flat tire on the chevy aveo, there was a bad noise coming from that tire. i drove the car to where i was staying and parked the car for the night. the next day i called alamo and i told them the front tire was making a bad metal on metal scraping noise. they told me to drive the car over to their office on independencia near maximo gomez, which i did. i was nervous driving with the noise coming from the wheel. i once owned a saab car and one time the brake caliper got stuck and over heated the brake fluid and i had no pressure on the brake lines, no fun when you press the brake pedal and the pedal goes down to the floor without stopping the car.
at that alamo office on independencia they told me they had no cars and that i should drive to the alamo office on avenida de los proceres. avenida lincoln north of avenida kennedy becomes avenida de los proceres. i thought that alamo office would give me a different car and i knew that the car i was returning, the gas tank would have to be on full. i passed one texaco gas station north of kennedy, but i was in the middle lane of traffic and could not get over to my right to get to that gas station. i continued driving and saw the alamo office but i wanted to gas up the car before returning it.
i turned on avenida argentina. i saw some very nice homes which front the national botanical garden. the national botanical garden was like a forest of greenery. i eventually found a gas station and then took the car to alamo on avenida de los proceres.
the guy at alamo said they had no other cars available and that i would have to wait, while they repaired the car. diamond mall was about three blocks from there, so i took a walk and hung out in diamond mall, while i waited for the car to be repaired. diamond mall is a medium sized mall. on the food court floor, i noticed stickers on floor saying this is a wifi hot spot. i wish i had brought my laptop so that i could have connected to the internet while i waited.
some places where i have stayed in sdq there has been no free wifi. i am curious as to whether some coffee shops/restaurants/malls in sdq offer free wifi. appears the food court at diamond mall offered free wifi. i am curious as to whether there are any other places in sdq where you can connect for free (or after buying coffee or some other drinks/food), thanks.
