I should have realized this. International calls now cost about 5-7 cents (US) to Japan if you use a prepaid card available at any 7-Eleven. You don't need to use your dad's phone line to call. I went to NK last night because I had to visit a customer to visit in Saitama and stopped by on my way home. I first went to the east side which is usually pretty dead. This whole experience was different from any other. I'm not sure about this arrangement, with the selection room upstairs, the coordinated touts, etc. It almost looked like an association tout room.
