I found a review on Trip Advisor stating that the Hai Son Hotel (district 1, le lai street) is a "sex hotel" with massage + extras on the top floor. Just sharing this with other mongers in case it is worth a look. Any more info, perhaps can be added on this thread.

As a matter of the talks. Why a vietanmense girl should be going around with you for a week, taking you around with a bike, becoming even your girlfriend for a week. Where is the rational for her to do so? Where's the reward and the need to do so? A week is 1/4 of a month. If she is working (any work) she should forget about 1/4 of her salary (if ever possible for anybody working taking a week off like this). Many of the ladies working in and around district 1 are keen to improve their english and don't mind giving out a bit along the way for a taste of a better life. Restaurants, hairdressers, shop assistants etc.
The other avenue is the bars around Hai Bai Trung and Thai Sach. They have a large turnover and often the new gals do not like being a piece of meat in a bar and quit after a night or two. Especially if they have a potential sugardaddy however temporary. This applies to the bars in Vung Tau as well.
As for hotels most of the small hotels in D1 and nearby that have less than 30 rooms and have rates less than $50 will be GF. The girl will have to provide her I'd. Try the ones around Thi Sach.
To some of those other posters. This is the internationalsexguide and it does provide guidance in many of its forums on how to get it without necessarily paying for it up front! However I do agree with the B-man about getting a gal with a motorbike to take you around for zilch. Not going to happen.
And remember that nothing is ever free and you pay for what you get. Sometimes a little generosity up front goes a long way.

RTFF but don't see much of anything about FS (except that it's difficult to find). I find it hard to believe that there isn't any FS at all to be had anywhere in HCMC for foreign visitors. Can anyone throw me some breadcrumbs here?

There are a number of touts on Hai Ba Trung Street who will quote you $40-$50 for short-time. What this means is that they will call some girls to come where you are and you choose one like, if any. If you don't like any, he will call some more. He sometimes will also take you in a taxi (can be included in price, but only one way) to a hotel (which can also be included in price, depending on the quality of the hotel) and the girls will come there. The first time I had a tout quote me $40, cab included. When we got to the hotel (OK) , price went up to $50, but then was reduced to $45. However, needed to pay 200, 000 dong for the room for one hour. He also wanted a tip, plus girl whined about tip so gave her 150, 000 tip. Total cost $65 for OK session with cute girl.
Second time, tout was named Som (in front of Club 91, Hai Ba Trung). He said no tip for him, was included in price. Was quoted $50. Since I had a girl-friendly hotel, no hotel fee. Two girls showed up, both OK. Chose one, walked to my hotel, she gave her I'd to the desk clerk, we went upstairs, did the deed (OK session) , she whined for tip, gave her 100, 000 dong. Total cost $55.
Third time was my last night in HMC. Didn't have a hotel room, as I was leaving in the middle of the night. Son found me again. Told him I didn't have hotel, and only 1, 000, 000 dong to spend, since I needed the rest to get to the airport. He said no problem. Called, two girls came. Went with one to a hotel (a dump) , paid the 1, 000, 000 to the desk clerk, went to room (crappy) , did the deed (OK, a little rushed) , she whined for a tip, told her I din't have any to give, left the hotel, and took a moto (20, 000 dong) back to Hai Ba Trung Street.
Alternatively, you can get action in the clubs along Hai Ba Trung and Dong Khoi. I was quoted $70 (in house ST) in the clubs on Dong Khoi and $50 in either 49 or 51 Hai Ba Trung. Never took them up on the offer, but you can check and see if it's worth it to you. Might be higher for takeout.

The hotel thing is a little more complicated in Vietnam because taking a prostitute to a hotel is against their law. And many times it is enforced. You might have to buy an extra room. I get away with it now because I know the manager and staff at Hoang Vinh Hotel on 29 Ba Huyen Thanh Quanh (near Saigon Star, Tao Dan Park) and have stayed there many times. I think it is around $35 / night. The cheaper short-time hotels near Hai Bai Trung seem to get away with it but if I really like the girl I want her to spend the night. I have also dated Vietnamese girls with motorbikes and yes it is a great way to see the city and play with her tits. The cheaper hotels in Vung Tau also don't care if you bring a girl to the room and it is a nice hydrofoil ride up the Mekong. Good luck.

Just a curoious question. Why on earth everything in HCMC is quoted in Dollars? From the prices of hotel services (such as laundry) to drinks in billiard bars? One girl I got yesterday wasn't even sure how much she wanted in Dong and said 60 Dollar. I had to use my currency converter on my smartphone to show her the price in Dong and ensure that it's correct.
Having never used USD in my life (I only touched a USD note a few times in my life by a complete accident) it looks a bit weird not to mention that it doesn't say much about the price to me anyway. I have never seen this anywhere else in Asia where I've been (TH, MY, SG, CN, HK, MO). Are they lacking confidence in native currency or is it some kind of 'tradition' from the past (Vietnam war perhaps?)? I thought VND is easy to exchange and it should be no problem for anyone to use it and quote prices in it. I've heard even in Myanmar Dollar is not liked too much anymore and local currency is preferred (that country as we know is far behind with its development and international trading position). I really hope they stop doing that because it's just plain silly.

Simple. In Vietnam there are two reasons and more often than not its a mixture of the two rather than one or the other.
Reference today's (15 June 2012) official Vietcombank buying rate (cash) : 1 USD = VND 20,930.
1. Plain laziness. So instead of saying One Million Two Hundred and Fifty Five Thousand, Eight Hundred Vietnam Dong, its simply easier to say 'Sixty Dollars'.
USD 60 = VND 1,255,800.
2. To the ill-informed tourist mongerer with drink in hand and pussy in the other, it is a way for them to get the better of you. Using the same example, your bill could have been actually VND 1,200,000 but if they were to use a rate of 1 USD = VND 20,000 out of convenience of course, they would have made an extra VND 55,800 out of you from out of thin air. That's half a day's wages for a lot of Vietnamese.
Those of us foreigners who live in Vietnam for an extended amount of time are used to this trick and to asking the right questions. The main solution against this is to think, talk, negotiate, everything in VND and VND ONLY.
If you're planning on visiting Cambodia anytime soon, you better get used to transacting in USD. The Cambodian Riel is not even worth the paper it's printed on. Fortunately for you only Cambodia, and to a certain extent Vietnam and Laos are about the only countries in Asia with a healthy worship (and de facto use) of the greenback.

I wanted to know your thoughts about mongering in Vietnam compared to Thailand and the Philippines since these have been countries that I've been too. Vietnam has been on my mind lately because I've been seeing some fine women around town and I'd like to meet and get to know them but a roadblock called a husband stands in the way!

This comparison has been done in the forum before. Don't forget Cambodia, either. It's the best bargain I've found.
Which is better is probably a matter of personal taste and environmental preferences. I like all four but prefer PI because they speak English. All four give great GFE sex, massages, etc. VN is a little trickier with the hotels but I think they are starting to lighten up on that. I have to admit the blow and go's in HCMC are great but the bars on Burgos in Makati do that, too, for a tad more money.
Certainly other mongers have opinions on this.
I wish there was an Asian country or city or bar that specialized in big boobs. I would live there.
