I am sure pretty soon CDC will exempt vaccinated people from testing requirements.

Venezuelans have not invaded the island. They have only invaded Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. I think I have only ever seen mention of 1 Venezuelan being mentioned in this section and that was like a couple of years ago. The same type hotel that would cost me $45 in Sosua, costs me $25 in Santo Domingo. Taxi is cheaper in Santo Domingo than in Sosua. Maybe things are cheaper in the capital because there is a larger supply?

I went to foxy's yesterday and got quoted the following:

350 for ladies drink.

1000 for erotic dance.

5500 pesos for sex.

There is no way I am paying 5500. There has to be a list of known decently priced brothels: does anyone know any or where to find? Thanks!

It doesn't prevent you from getting the virus or transmitting it. That's the purpose requiring everyone to take a test to re-entry the US.

Long time Sosua Vet, FYI seems like TMBTS is down for a few days.

Any ways, kudos sirs lot of good info on this forum, will keep members posted on future trips, I average 4 trips a year 7 -15 days per visit.

There is a possibility (probably not a high probability) that people that are immune to Covid can still carry it in their nasal passages because the antibodies can't get at it there. Who knows. But, the big reason is that you basically have to have everyone wear masks or no one. Otherwise you can't enforce or do anything with public rules. Stores are not going to have the ability to determine if your claim to have been vaccinated and when is sufficient to let you in without a mask.

So. For the meantime, suck it up. Wear a mask. It really doesn't hurt. And it helps your fellow man. And when enough get vaccinated that this thing dies down everyone can take them off.

I don't make up this shit!![/QUOTE]No, you don't. The shots dramatically reduce transmissions, infections and severe cases, but don't eliminate them. It's been clearly communicated by the CDC, state health departments and the media.

On a personal level, vaccination surely didn't hurt me since I didn't catch the disease while being in close proximity to a few sick relatives for days before and after they showed symptoms. Just get your shots or it'll never be over.
