In my case, one finally slipped one past the goalie after 25 years of travel, hundreds of trips, thousands of girls and who knows how many attempts to do so. I posted my experience too so others could be warned, knowing (and not caring) that a few would take the opportunity to puff their chests out. Those that puff their chests out and say, 'could never happen to me' because it hasn't yet are just IMOP showing their own foolishness.

All taxis have their license plate number on all 4 sides of the car. Big decals, easy to see. Any car without those decals isn't a taxi. You got grabbed by a freelancer. Consider yourself lucky he only gouged you for 40 k.

Most taxis at the airport are not familiar with Centro, the landmark for Centro is Hotel Nutibarra. 2. They knew you were new to the country, those buses in front of the airport go directly to Hotel Avenida Botero and cost only $10,000 pesos. We all make this mistake our first few trips. The buses are only 5-7 minutes slower than the taxi and saves 7-10 times the amount. Pollo negro is out!

For the last two weeks I have been in El Centro, specifically at "ground zero" at the intersection of Carrea 52 and Calle 52, and have noticed what appears to be more and more Venezuelans arriving on a daily basis who are working, with the greatest concentration of them typically around 5 PM at ground zero. I have previously bitched and moaned about how so many of them are disgustingly fat and ugly (Fuglies), albeit there have been some thinner prettier ones I've seen recently but suspect that it's just a statistical thing based on the numbers.

The other thing I have noticed is, that there are now some Venezuelan Transvestites and Gays that have arrived as well. I believe that if many more Venezuelan Transvestites show up and start taking away the customers of the Colombian Transvestites, whose headquarters are at the corner of the Veracruz Church, there could be some blood letting. I have already heard of lots of issues from my Colombian SW stable regarding the loss of business, and could easily see a Colombian Transvestite cutting the balls off one of the Venezuelans.

To date I have never seen so many girls out working at ground zero in El Centro, there probably is over 80 percent Venezuelans, and I am totally perplexed as to how they all get customers, especially the Fuglies, unless that is something Colombian men go for. Or perhaps the Fuglies take it in the ass, and bareback, for those who partake in that.

The other thing I have noticed is that all the Venezuelans hang together in packs, I guess they feel protected that way.

Perhaps other street rats have similar observations or comments about this.
