I find having sex with someone who likes you and your friends with, share stories about their lives and events makes things much better. In other words if you have rapport, the sex can be much better and you will know it, because if the girl is into with you, it won't be a bunch of fake moaning and she will be typically getting wet when she comes.

Only a few areas will have many people in it late at night. It means you are only in a small area. One reason people are scared is because many associate the ambience with danger by default.

The critical area that matters is the Plaza Botero and the block around the church, which is the small area you're referring to, where the fun is at. Really, what are we here in Medellin for, to ride the metro? Every big city is going to have its dangerous blocks. Even small cities will have them. Just know where you are at, what you're looking for, and if the risk is worth it.

He suggested I go to an internet cafe, that most of them have phones that can be used for international calls.

I had to call a you. S visa # at which point they tranfered me to my bank in Jamaica and I can get $ now via ATM so no mas problemas.

I just saw your last post and tried to delete this post but it will only let me edit, so maybe someone else can learn something from this post. Sorry to take up the space.

I got financially stranded in Cartagena once, it sucks. I had given notice to both my bank and Visa that I was traveling! The Bastards! In those days I was using local mobile services and had not even bought a SIM yet, so I did not even have a phone. I got lucky in that I had money on my skype account and used my laptop to access the Wifi in my apartment, and the laptop had a built in mic. Again bry lucky. But again the money was already on my Skype account and if our bank card isn't working that is not an option for you. I was also ignorant on making an international call when using a foreign carrier, I didn't realize that +1 gets me into the US phone system and in order to get the + sign to come up that I had to hold down the 0 until it popped up. Another thing I suggest trying to make a Wifi call to your bank. If you do not have Wifi in your hotel / apartment most restaurants and cafes will. I found these instructions online, copied and pasted. Pulled it from a UK website but cannot imagine that Samsung has different settings in any other country.

I also noticed that all Uber drivers are using GPS, only some Taxi drivers were. I used a mix of Taxi and Uber. I only got seriously aggravated with one taxi driver, he turned what should have been a 3/4 mile trip into over 2 miles at a time when I was trying to ditch a drunk chica who was causing me to be annoyed anyway. I honestly don't think he did it on purpose but if he had GPS it would not have happen. I ended up having to give him directions and my Spanish skills are not great but luckily I have gire a la izquierda why gire a la derecha aqui. So I think if you are limited in Spanish, Uber can be a better option.
