All he is saying is, if you take the freelancers working the street, the girls who are not shy in the shopping malls or just walking down the street, freelancers working the clubs and add them to the girls who are currently working the chat apps and Internet sites, there are a wealth of freelancers available. In my opinion the freelance market has more than doubled.

It's always decline decline. I prefer to be a bit mosre realistic. Sex was dirt cheap in Thailnd 20 to 30 years ago. Not any longer. I remember my first long time with a bargirl I paid her 500 Baht. However 30 years ago, was much cheaper than that but I was with a girl so could not partake.

So expats who used to frequent bars very regularly, can't afford it any more. Girls need a lot more money to pay the supermarket bills. The bar decline comes clearly from decline in customers. Thailand gets a lot of bad publicity for tourists too so many sex tourists may go elsewhere.

In one sense I agree that bar girls are declning in looks. There are many more young over weight girls than 20 years ago. There are many more fake tits and in certain bars a lot of fake noses.

Otherwise the quality is much the same. Those who believe there were heaps of stunners many years ago are really kidding themselves. I have photos of bargirls taken in daylight from the past. There are fewer gals working in the P4 P industry. I don't think that can even be challenged. "Regular" girls also have much higher expectations than they used to, and that goes whether they are dating Thai dudes or Farangs. They tend to want to be with guys from their own age group as well. That being said, if you are a young good looking fellow there are plenty of "hook up" opportunities. And if you have not noticed, lots more young farang guys in BKK these days. Lots more. I was in Pattaya a couple of weekends ago and ventured into the discos. What a shocker that was. They gals were focused on the young guys, and again, there were lots of them. Older guys just looked completely out of place.

One poster spoke about the possibility of meeting FLs on the BTS. While I don't doubt this is possible, I would never do this. I have seen middle aged and older farangs approach gals in this manner and frankly I am always embarrassed for them, no matter whether the gal is really a FL or just a regular gal. The discomfort the gal feels if she is not a P4 P gal is also quite evident. When you see the looks on the other passenger's faces you realize why some have the attitude they do about middle aged and older farang men. There is a time and place for everything.

It would be great if BKK had 141 type action. I doubt it will. Why? I just can't see apts or condos putting up with a stream of random men going in and out. That just wouldn't fly here.

Sorry, but there would have been no point in coming if these activities would be setting you back over 100 USD, which in many cases they do today. Those times are over, so be it. We know that and accept that. But to hear some guys saying it is "better" now and that girls are more plentiful; well, that is just not true.

I would say of course there are fewer guys willing to spend that kind of money. Hell, I could spend that money, but to me (and to so many others I know who have money), it is just not worth it. However, there may be one factor that keeps the PSE oilies stocked, and that is many of the girls there seem to be from the same areas in Issaan, and often are recruited because they already have friends working at the oilies. At least this is my impression. Once there, their comfort level with the place and co-workers might dictate not moving elsewhere even if the opportunity to make more money might be out there. So there may be some of that going on thereby assuring the oilies will continue to exist.

As to the quality of the girls at the PSE oilies, I agree on average there has been some degradation. But I also wonder whether this is exaggerated a bit. For example, there was one "super-star" at Tulip going back many years, who later worked the oilies circuit. Everyone I knew raved about her. I thought she was butt ugly and I wouldn't have wanted to do her for free. Incidentally, I am way over 40 years old, I suppose have some game (which in Thailand mostly only requires smiling sincerely as possible and being low key and polite) but only speak enough Thai to say Hello, you look pretty, how much?, thank you, stuff most punters could learn on the flight over. Not that you even need it. I still see plenty of more than decent looking freelancers standing up and down Sukhumvit Road and Soi 4 for hours at a time every night of the week with NO 50+ year old chumps approaching them and I know for a fact that virtually all of them would happily go with a 60+ year old chump in a heartbeat for as little as 1000 baht. In every case, I could have had a short time with them that very hour but, alas, the reason I was on the BTS or the MRT on those occasions was because I was either on my way to another lady or coming home from one.
