I was able to find the alley today. I took a bus from Taipei City Hall Bus Station #5. 9001 is the bus number. The NT95 ticket may be bought when you board the bus, but the ride on a Saturday afternoon took 1hr40min.

Coming back, I took the express train for NT89 which took 41min to Taipei Station and about 15-20min walk / MRT transfer back to Taipei City Hall MRT station.

The walk from Zhongli station to the alley take about 10-15 minutes. That SOGO nearby is now closed, and the Google Street view looks a little different now. The entrance from the SOGO side of the street now has a shop with a blue sign. Like reported previously, there are 3 tiers NT1. 2k. 2k, and 3k.

There are bunch of little shops with mamma and papa-sans sitting in the doorways. I asked to look at a 2k and ended up with the 3k. Now, I'm normally an ass-man, but I couldn't resist the rack on this one. Wowzers.

I've gotten quite spoiled by visiting Taipei. I am in Hualien (in the east) for a while now, and I can't seem to find ANYTHING.

I've checked the back of the English newspaper here, but all I could find were Taipei Times, which doesn't help me in Hualien. Google searches have returned nada, and I've searched through the Forums (RTFF'd) and couldn't find anything for "Hualien" or "Hua-lien".

Can anybody help point me in the right direction? I'm staying at one of the two really nice hotels here, and, unlike in Taipei, there is no magazine or "entertainment guide" laid out with all the "relevant" phone numbers for the city. I hope that doesn't mean there IS no such thing out here!

Your advice and help is much appreciated.

OMG! Okay, so I wrote a post earlier today asking everyone for advice regarding Hualien since I couldn't find anything useful in the Forums. Since my post hadn't / hasn't yet been approved, I decided to go wandering about.

I came across a KTV. I've actually never gone to a KTV before, so this was my first experience. This wasn't one of your usual / corporate KTV places. It appeared to be a smaller, mom'and pop type shop. I saw a good number of men through a small window, and pretty girls going into rooms, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Let me cut to the chase. I spent two hours with two girls for about 1500NT. During that time, there was no hanky panky. We had a couple beers, played some dice game (which I didn't even understand. But oh well) , and sang songs. The two girls with me were pretty. Dressed smartly in casual outfits, including miniskirts. One girl was very pretty, but very youngish in age. She said her age was 20. The other girl was older, I'd say closer to 30, and also with a pretty face. While we were sitting, I sortof made a connection with her. We tried to communicate as best as I could (I don't speak Mandarin). During conversations she (several times) alluded to me being handsome (talking about earning some brownie points). While singing, I was a bit nervous / shy (since I've never been to a KTV before) , but I mustered up the courage to put my arm around her waist (she did not mind). During the last song, I had put my hands down, and she went out of my way to take my hand and put it around her waist again.

That being said, I figured she liked me. I showed her my hotel.card, and wrote my room# on it. She explained to me what time she was getting off of work, and agreed to come see me after she had finished! Woo hoo!

We hadn't spoken of price or anything, but I'm sure we can come to an agreement of some kind when she gets here.

Oh yeah, we also exchanged phone numbers. So now I'm playing the waiting game until she gets here.

Perhaps I'll do some pushups and situps to pass the time.

I'll write and let everyone know how it went. I'm pretty excited. First, Hualien / Hua-lien seemed very dry to me and it appeared there was nothing available. I guess all it took was some courage and a sense of adventure.

By the way. Although I appeared to have success with the KTV (getting takehome) , I'm still looking forward to hearing from anyone who has any other advice or tips (having alternatives / options is always a good thing).

Wow. OK, now I feel like a real fool. It appears I was pranked. .

I've been calling the girl every half hour or so since she was supposed to have arrived; she kept saying she was on her way. Finally, she and others were heard on the other end laughing and goofing off. Either she's drunk after a long night of KTVing, or she never had the intention of coming back to the hotel with me.

Guys, looks like I'm still counting on some of you more experienced members with some useful info on Hualien. What a disappointing night.

(End of the month, cold weather, regular weekday, all of that adds up to nobody wanting to go, except me.) Meaning all the girls sat at my table, I must say, I was overwhelmed.

4. The beer is cheaper. 150 for a Taiwan beer. 180 for a Budweiser. Star pub is like 200+.

5. The place is better lit. You can see the girls quite clearly.

6. Here's the KEY POINT: Most girls provide handjobs for a small fee ranging from 300 500. Not all girls, but most do. The bartender can hook you up.

Now I don't know whether you can take the girls out. According to the bartender, some girls do provide takeout service, but you must wait until 4AM after they get off work. A little too late for me, but I would really want to try. A lot of those girls were just SUPER stunners.

After reading various posts, decided to swing by Romantic City as I was in KS for a few days. Pretty easy to find however getting there by subway is kinda annoying. Took the MRT to Kaoshiung Main Railway Station and unfortunately there's only one exit from the MRT and its on the opposite side of the train tracks of the road you want to be on. So you can either cab it to this place or walk from the subway station.

I decided to walk and it took about 20-25 minutes. Exited the metro and headed west (pass Kaoshiung Railway Station and a bunch of schools on the right) , turn right at the first street with an overpass, go over overpass, turn left at first street after crossing overpass, within two blocks you should see a taller building with a green banner at the top proclaiming "ROMANTIC CITY SPA / SALON 6F". Entrance is towards the left front of the building with a lookout in front.

Upon arriving on the 6F, get ushered into the spa / salon by a nice gentleman past a room of a bunch of other nice gentlemen watching tv while smoking and chatting and into a super dark area where another nice gentleman had a girl waiting for me. Because it was so freaking dark I couldn't get a good look at her so I decided to go with the flow. Up a dark staircase, into a dark hallway, and into a dark room.

Off come clothes and into dark bathroom for washing by the girl (good) and quick soapie massage (avg but too short). Rinse, onto bed, massage (slightly less than ok) , light catbath and light A / R (she was kinda lazy about it) , followed by BBBJ (average) , CG (pretty good) , and mish (good). More washing by the girl, get dressed, pay 1600NTD and get blinded by how bright it is outside.

In the darkness, girl's face seemed to be about 5, girl was about 5'5, B cups with nice nipples, and quite a bit chubb around her belly. Not entirely fat. Maybe pleasantly plump would be the right description. The girl said she was from KS and was 27. Pleasant personality.

However, I personally would rather pay more for mainland style action where the girls are hotter / younger and you get to pick from a lineup, the services are longer and better, and the facilities are top notch. Hi. I have to go to Hsinchu in a few weeks for business and have tried reading and searching the boards for info on Hsinchu.

I have found nothing. The search seemed like it came up with some hits but I could not find a single reference to Hsinchu.

I am interested in finding p4p or bars where freelancers might work. Any and all advioce greatly apprecaited and I will report back on my advantures.
