i've been several times in tulung agung and always stay in a local hotel just off the main street. can't think of the name just now, may come to me tomorrow. the hotel has all kinds of jawanese antiques rep001tered around the place.

anyway, the bell boy and any other bloke working in the hotel can organize something for you. normally he just calls a "friend" who knows some girls willing to make an extra rupiah.

the same holds true for any hotel in tulung agung.

there are also a couple of karaoke joints. ask taxi or becak driver.

Santika is not bad either. Location is good, pool is nice, and rooms are decent and have balconies.

All the big star-rated places should be okay. Some of the smaller, family-run guesthouses - which are often otherwise very nice places and good value - might kick up a bit unless you do it a bit low-key. Depends a lot on the place ...

Opposite Matahari department store, across the road, next to the train station, there are streetwalkers available late afternoon, early evenings. Often you'll find them sitting around the little fountain area. These are not top grade and some dare to ask 350 or 400k for ST. I'd never pay more than 200 or 250k for these ones.

There are some nice nightclubs in town which may hold some better offerings, but I have never tried myself. Recently I picked up a 32 yo girl, I met in train station, not a SW but a single-mum desperate looking for some additional income. I had a great time with her back in the hotel, but again when it came down to looks, not too exciting. I did score a great chick once I met close to the entrance of the botanical gardens, but that's now already 20 years ago and on a recent visit to the gardens, it all looked quite empty.
