Does anyone here actually live in Texas, NY, FL, and CA? Or visited in 2020/21? In 2020, I spent a month in NYC. My permanent home is in Florida and have returned half dozen times for a total of about a month's time. There were little differences in restrictions. NYC, NY had 10 pm mandatory closures and Miami, FL had a midnight curfew. Both had similar indoor occupancy requirements. Smaller towns and cities in both states had similar minimal regulations.

So really have no idea what you are talking about with lock downs outside of regurgitated rightwing talking points.

As Nabarro says, they can "buy you time to reorganise, regroup, rebalance your resources".

But they should not be used as the main strategy against COVID-19 more broadly. And the decision to impose a lockdown should be considered carefully, with the benefits weighed against the often very significant consequences.

Lockdowns also have a disproportionate impact on the most disadvantaged people in society. This cost is greater still in poorer countries, where not going to work can mean literally having no food to eat.

Another and myself have explained to you that evaluation of efficacy and safety are made after phase III results. Have explained that with any other medication, participants are followed for usually less than a year during phase III after which that participant is progressed into phase IV, a phase that does not factor into initial pharmaceutical FDA approval. Have explained to you that the reason phase III usually takes years is due to waiting for funding and participant enrollment. Have explained to you that phase III was completed quickly for these vaccines because funding and waiting for an participant enrollment did not obstruct the timeline.

But I would hesitate to relegate the ferocity of female bullying to "just" exclusion from the popular group and low self esteem. Even the "less popular" girls can be pretty harsh to each other, especially if the girl is sort of a weirdo or a type A know-it-all.

Isn't the social rejection the root cause of the psychological issues or do we believe that the physical part of bullying is the key difference? I would actually say that psychological bullying and social rejection is more detrimental to women because they evolutionarily need the group more than men. After all, there is the male lonewolf archetype that is okay on his own. But that's usually the kind of guy who prefers that path, not thrown into it due to social rejection. The type of guy who can live by himself for a month in a cabin in the woods with only a monthly visit in town to restock supplies (and perhaps the visit to that western saloon for a whiskey and a session with a prostitute.). Actually I do know a 60 year old loner who hates going into the city but every time he does he visits an Asian Massage parlor.

Just a theory, I believe the effect would be the same if women were not in the position of desire by men. Even the lowest tier women would stumble across a man who would desire her, even pay for her. Or the fact that we all know the girls with no female friends but end up becoming accepted by a group of dorky males. I think girls are saved from the path of becoming m internet weirdos or mass shooters, not because female psychological bullying is less detrimental, but rather because women can always find a group of males that would include her in group activities.
