Medellin Reports

Now don't get me wrong, generalizations are never a good thing and perhaps I did go overboard a bit. But I'm still standing by what I said!. Though, I'll retract from saying ALL paisas to just a good number of them. I understand that for the most part, on a general basis, you do find more beautiful women here, in Medellin, than in perhaps other parts of the country. There's no contesting such claim at all. It's just that when dealing with a great number of them (regardless of social class and ethnicity (white, morena or in between)) they do tend to come off as "the most complicated, arrogant, prude, stuck-up, conceited and delusional women in the whole entire republic of Colombia. "

I'm sorry if this offends some of you on this forum, but it is true. Now that doesn't mean that you won't also find cool and nice non-pro chicas around town because surely you will, but the price tag associated with trying to go this route (non-pros) can be a lot more costlier than going the other, perhaps more sought-after one with most member in this forum (pros). And the amount of time, energy and tons of cash needed to be invested in trying to or in doing so are, in my opinion, not worth the hassle and bs.

Yeah, girls from smaller towns are humbler and down-to-earth but one can also do well in other big cities of Colombia with, what has been my experience, a far greater reward and efficiency than in Medellin. I consider MDE the LAX of Colombia where the city itself is larger than life (by Colombian standards) with a lot of similarities between the two places including the mountains and the weather (albeit, less extreme in both cases (hot and cold)). The city itself is very charming and alluring. No doubt about that at all, once again. But most of us live or have lived in similar cities (if not more sophisticated and modern ones) so what begs the question to me is: Do we fly far to come across some of the same stuff we do (or have) elsewhere or to try to get with as many young, cute, sweet and sexy honeys as possible?

If I want to get into that dressing, looking and acting all modern stuff, then I can take my fake gringo ass back to Sex Prison and try my luck over there. But I consider that if I'm in the paradise of Latin America (according to the PAISAS) then I want to indulge with as many hotties and cutties that I can. Hell, I had an awesome time meeting, dating, befriending and hooking up with some very hot, young, smart and cool chicas in the north of Mexico and in Brazil. Tijuana can be a match made in heaven for this kind of stuff, if you asked me, given that women from all of the interior of Mexico migrate there (with the hopes of continuing on to the USA or to find work locally). I had girlfriends there from Guadalajara, Sinaloa, Culiacan who 1) for some reason tend to look like the Venezolanas and Colombianas and 2) have nothing to envy chicas from these places including the PAISAS. So what's the deal with Medellin?

I'm 37, medium built, hispanic / middle-eastern looking who speaks Spanish fluently. I know how to salsa (somewhat), joke around (in trying to be funny) and treat women nicely. Now that part is a whole other can of worms and I understand why local guys treat them bad. It's in part because they are not really used to being treated nicely. Now I'm not saying that they don't get treated nicely nor am I advocating violence in any way, shape or form against them (I highly condemn such treatment and exploitation of women anywhere. Period!) But it has also been my experience that nice is associated with weakness over here. And this is very much a MACHO culture and I suppose local men are just that.

Again, I don't believe that you're getting what you could very easily be getting elsewhere in Colombia for what one gets with these PAISAS. I suppose a lot of you enjoy paying for that Audi R8 and driving away with a Hyundai or Renault Twingo. To each their own. Go figure!

Brother the deal with the Paisas and Medellin is that we like them that's all. And many had good experiences here, sorry you did not find as much cute humble girls here as in Mexico, probably you weren't lucky, who knows,

I have lived in TJ (Tijuana) and being in All the cities you mentioned and girls are about the same as Paisas, probably paisas a little bit more approachable. Because girls who aren't trying to cross the border won't do escorting that easy in their home towns.

Besides you can't compare trashy Tijuana with Medellin ever. So let's jut say that in your opinion most paisas are arrogant, (which I'm completely disagree , and is respectful). BUt most guys here in this forum are not flying here to score regular girls, because is not a secret than pretty girls from all around the world won't just date you because you speak English, that is a myth that we made and want to believe, You have to offer something they want, or money, or a green card (like most loosers do) or fun or look.

But who cares at the end, there is plenty of prepagos who you just visit and they treat you real good and I think the non pro action is irrelevant here because is about the same everywhere, and If somebody come here with another mentality they just will waste their money miserably. That is "la neta del planeta" the true of this planet.

I've been visiting Colombia for many years, and it's a pretty common generalization.

The Paisas are considered the hottest chicas (at least face wise) and also the most difficult and drama filled.

Big deal.

In Medellin there are sweethearts and beeatches, just like anywhere.

No reason to get so heated really.

Visit the city, do your thing, have fun, and if the city or the chicas (Paisas) aren't your cup of tea, if you seem to have bad luck there, move on.

Visit Cali, Barranquilla, Brazil:) etc.

The Costenas (de Barranquilla, Cartagena, etc) are IMO much less complicated chicas, though I've found in general, about all las Colombianas love drama, especially compared to other S. American chicas.

I think sometimes, or maybe most of the time, when you over-analyze, you just make things worse.

Enjoy your visit, enjoy life, roll with the punches. It really isn't all that bad.

Instead, I would focus attention on the southern part of Colombia. Places like Leticia in the Amazons. Amazing the kind of stuff you get to do there in terms of price/quality cost comparisons go.
