They were all running into Baileys and nursing a presidente for two hours. I don't see girls hanging out on the corners during the day. I have been doing Sosua for 10 years and there have always been many girls from Santo domingo and a many from Santiago especially on the weekends. The Vast majority of girls are independent and stuggle to get enough to break even. There are way more girls then guys to use the services. The biggest change in Sosua is the politics. A new Mayor came into power and became very hostile to the working girls. The police started harassing the girls and making them insecure. This lead to many of the more well rounded girls staying home and the more hardcore desperate girls hitting the stroll. The current crop of girls is about half of what it was 5 yerars ago and the quality has suffered. Mondays and Tuesdays were as lively as the currrent weekends. You could sit af El flow at 3 pm and see 150 girls go into Rumbas and this was the appetizer to Classicos.
I miss those days but I still have a great time when I visit Sosua. There are less hot girls to chose from so the selection is easier. I repeat with girls who I know give good service which protects me form scammers. Never the less I am always open to new girls.

There were never any "sad life stories". We just enjoyed the company, lots of laughs. I usually had a sandwich, and they would have the same, or a fish, never anything extravagant. Afterward, we'd go to the hotel and work off that meal. I never paid more than 2 K pesos, girls usually stayed a little longer after the fact to chat, and talk of money never came up for lost time while eating. So, it comes down to who you're with and your own personality. The hardcore girls are obvious, and easy to stay away from. In fact, on three separate occasions, I had two girls buy me a drink, and one bought me an ice cream at the place on the corner before heading back to the hotel. I would think that the fact that prostitution is legal in DR, is a major factor in the availability of all those girls you see, that are getting off the Thursday and Friday buses, many of them young newbies. They can sell their pussy legally, without breaking any laws, and, aside from the older girlfriend that introduces her to the business, needs no pimp, or connections?
In DR prostitution is a widely accepted (in tourist towns anyway) legal job of work, so there's very little stigma attached to making a few bucks by partying with tourists.

Many locals wanted things to stay the same. That decision cost her The next election. That election took place just prior to the Covid pandemic.
The new mayor was supposedly in support of the local businesses that did not want the harassment of chicas to continue. It went viral after he won the election chicas were celebrating in the streets. However, once in office nothing changed. The closing of Classico, City lights, Bourbon Street, and Rumbas were all politically targeted for closing. So not only was the chicas being targeted; businesses that catered to that type of crowd in that area were shut down. Rumbas has adapted however they cannot control the harassment of the police.
Guys like myself and many others who have made it a custom to going to the Sue have learned to adapt. New guys have dealt with was given to them not knowing what they missed. As Gogo stated The police targeted the Chicas and left the tourist alone. Believe it or not this cycle has been working and the Sue has still been a hotspot for P4 P. But the air is slowly deflating.
We are at the point now where something is going to have to give. Obvious someone higher than the Mayor is calling the shots. The cycle of adjusting to the current situation comes with the territory of visiting or living there. The Dominicans who called the shots have they eyes on something bigger and I respect them.
The Sue is off my list for a while but I have my fingers crossed. Meanwhile Medellin, Cartagena, Bogota and other places are on a rise.

This weekend is Halloween and many events are planned in Sosua so it will be a test. If Classico's doesn't open it probably won't for awhile. Also visited a couple of nice after hour spots in Sosua. Sharks is nice and the Casino was packed.
Ramona's was packed also Saturday night to celebrate her birthday. My favorite spot is the Treehouse 2, close to kings. Old school r&b DJ, nice looking girls and good food. We had drinks, so appetizers and sat for a couple of hours. Then went to the room, she did a blow job for about 2 minutes then stopped and said she wanted more $$, after already agreeing on a price. She threatened to call the police, I said go ahead. I called the security guard at the hotel, I didn't understand why he didn't drag her ass out. I was pissed at him, and started yelling at him.
