my regular told me they have STD lectures in Atlantis where they go to see some nasty photos from dicks and pussys when havin STD or what so called first signs of a STD etc etc..told her that you dont see if somebody has HIV, but appreciate the effort to teach the girls to be aware and use condoms.

The shot might have been Cephtriaxone, a 3rd generation cephalosporine.
The pills maybe cefixime or so.
Because all the 1st generation antibiotics (Doxy etc...) don't work anymore with the current gonorrhea.

As flights are cheaper to CRK i’m here again on transit. This time I decided to try visit the Lewis Grand. Everything is new, and the room are really comfortable. For 68$ (i’m staying in a Deluxe room with view on the pool) it’s a bargain. ABC rates 99$.

Free internet, that’s always a plus after the BKK rip off at 640 bath per day. The only thing I didn’t like about the room is the shower system, it’s a fixed shower in the ceiling, which is really high, that’s a very odd system. I’m not sure it’s best to clean your family jewels!

However I have some big worries about Lewis Grand. First building a « luxury » hotel is one thing, but to be a luxury hotel you must also offer quality services. I ordered a pizza, and obviously it was a frozen one they microwaved, i’ve never had a worst pizza in my life!

Also I wanted a fresh juice, I asked for a pineapple one, or anything else for that matter, I was told all juices are canned ones. Lame!

Lewis Grand got the facilities, now they need to understand they need to deliver the services.

I was told if I ordered a banana shake or some other shake it would include fresh fruits. OK go on then, let’s order, then the girl came back sorry saying there are no fresh fruits available. Grrr.

Otherwise the staff is friendly!

It also seems they are into viral marketing, on trip advisor, some dude who only has one review, said the Lewis Grand is the best hotel is Asia. Damn the Oriental in BKK or The Raffle’s in Sing must be scared!

At the end of the day, the onus is not on the service provider but the service recipient to protect themselves against any possible infection. Safe sex practices, allied to thorough oral and genital hygiene will not be 100% effective against the contracting of an STD, but they will make it a lot fucking harder for those nasty little bugs to get through.

It may reduce the fun slightly, but hey at the end of the day is it not worth it to stay healthy.

Cheers![/QUOTE]That's odd mate, I booked only a couple of days ago and they offered me room at various prices from 69$ to the suites. The restaurant is always empty, doesn't seems like a busy place. Nobody going for a swim either.

Then again it could fill up at the last minute. Yesterday the BKK CRK flight was pretty loaded. (I fell in love with one of the fight attendant. Pity she didn't even look at me! ).

They also have 24/7 security guards out front, and after dark, the front door is locked, and guard outside has a shotgun. I have always felt quite secure there.

No way they can do that many girls each week. A smear would take a long time and a trained eye. I think the speculum and visual is for inflamation and discharge, also HPV and Herpes. I do know they draw blood once a month for HIV. Again, not sure if they do everyone though because that is an expensive test procedure.

As a funny aside, the Tequila girl cleaned up with a betadine solution after the encounter (no tip), and told me she was a nurse in training. (Fucking her way though college) Seems like nurses are the same everywhere hehe.

1) Severe urinary tract infection

2) A bacterial infection that 'bloomed'

3) A combination of the above two.

A lot of talk about STD's and AC here. Anyplace that has rampant barebacking is going to have rampant STDs. Anyplace that has mongers flying in from all over the world to bareback girls is going to have rampant STD's and higher than normal HIV rates. There is no way to talk around this, or to philosophize about how or what the girls do when infected. The deal is. You should understand the risks and how to mitigate them, or you will go in ignorant and pay the price.

The closest I have come to an honest discussion was one day with a bar owner in ac. He told me that his girls came back 'positive' from their checks at a rate of 6% monthly.

I don't know exactly what they test for, but considering that they test for the normal stds. Consider this.

Assuming a hypothetical bar that has 100 employees and they come back postiive for an std at a rate of 6% monthly. That means that yearly 72 of them contract something, or 72% yearly infection rate. These figures would have to be adjusted for repeats, but you get the idea.

This also assumes they do a full boat of tests, which I highly doubt. Things like HPV, herpes, urethritis, bacterial vaginosis, Tinea, Yeast infections, Molluscum Contagiosum are almost certainly not tested for.

I am not moralizing, just pointing out the risks. Do with it what you will.

That's another reason why I stay out of AC. There is plenty of poon to be had all over the 7,000 + islands. Seems as if Subic could be next as the whorists from AC will inevitably gravitate down there, particularly in light of the fact that there's a beach.
