Similarly most Thai "sisters" working together are not real sisters.
But that is not necessarily trickery. If I'm not mistaken in the Thai language "sister" does not imply blood-relationship. One can easily call a waitress in a restaurent "young sister" (น้องสาว - nong sao).
It is somewhat like African-Americans using the words "bro" and ""sis".

Speaking completely from ignorance (although I've read some of the forums) here's some guesses.
Bangkok is the bigger city, so there are probably more options, but they might be more spread out. Probably this means there's a bigger price range. I would guess there are more options with non-Thais in Bangkok. Probably more women from China, Vietnam, Phillipines, etc.
Pattaya is the beach resort city and is primarily a mongering destination. Maybe this means there is a more concentrated selection and the active areas are closer together.
I would suggest, that if you like to dress up, hit nice clubs, eat at fancy restaurants then Bangkok might be the better choice. If you prefer to go casual, maybe a little more laid back slower pace, them Pattaya might be preferred.
Once again, this is guesswork on my part, I've never been to either place.

Spend first 24 hours or so In Bangkok and sample a few things. Then go to Pattaya and stay there till you are bored with it. Then return to Bangkok. If you never get bored with Pattaya, then don't come back except to the airport.
Read the forum as far back as possible to get ideas where to try.
Keep flexible. Plans should never be locked in. You might find something you can't stand to go away from.

The way customers are treated varies. I am a Crazy House regular. I never pay for ST or LT in advance. I rarely deal with mamasans at all. I speak good Thai so don't need them. The fat manasan was fired and now works at Mercury bar in Nana. The newest mamasan mid sized is considered to be better character.
Every drink price is written in the paper. Easy to keep track of how many you had. As each drink is same price math is easy. Example 2 drinks 160 Baht and 2 drinks 170 Baht. There are only two different prices I encounter. Count how many of each. Multiply and add together. 660 Baht. I know my bill price. I don't get cheated.
One day I left in hurry. Forget to get my change of 300 Baht. Next time I attended, my special waitress had the 300 Baht change waiting for me. I knew nothing about it. She looks after me and I look after her.
I understand ithers have problems at this bar. I don't. My worst problem is volume of the music too high at times. I don't let girls come to me unless I call them.
If I call a girl to me I have to buy her a drink. The entertainment has to be paid for in some way. It's not free. Drinks are therefore not real cheap naturally. My Coke Light can can last quite a while though, ir a soda.

It's one of the reasons why I rarely post much or take much notice of opinions on ISG any more.

A Night on Soi 7
I decided to try a Nara massage at Dr. BJ. So I wandered down Soi 7 and checked out the action. A couple of small LB bars on the right and a couple of regulars on the left. I checked out the ladies at the Dr. BJ on the right which is a BJ bar, very disappointed at the quality. I then went to the Nara Salon and checked out what was another disappointing group of unhappy ladies. Not even a smile. This was around 8:00 pm so I thought it must be to early.
I went back to one of the bars on the right and ordered a beer, chatted with the ladies and the LB's next door. They all pointed me to a sweetie that they said was not LB. She was very cute and a great body. We talked for awhile and she asked me to confirm that she was a she. I put my hand up her very short skirt and confirmed the truth. I decided to take a walk and change some money.
When I came back an hour later, Dr. BJ was just as boring as earlier, so I went back to the sweetie who was still waiting for a customer. She gave me that please come fuck me look and I couldn't resist. Great session, she was really a GFE and happy that she scored a customer on what turned out to be a rainy night in Bangkok.
She even asked me if I wanted her umbrella and that I could return it the next day. Smart lady.

Pattaya has the more options, as far as mongering is considered. There is simply no comparison, except in the segment of the Hi-so G-clubs ("Gentlemen's Clubs") but those do not really cater for a farang clientele anyhow.
Personally, I favour Bangkok over Pattaya because it offers me a better mix of mongering and non-mongering things, but that is beyond the scope of this forum.

And now head over to the Pattaya section and start reading!

Mid afternoon today Can Cam massage had only 3 girls available. Steady flow of customers so I assume a few girls were busy. On a quiet day they have had 10 girls available.
Had a look in Addict Massage for first time. The Air Hostess shop. LOL Amazingly they had about 20 girls available. Not many fatties. Shocking! Most had swollen lumpy noses detracting from the looks. I would have to estimate over 90% had nose jobs. Boob jobs? Who knows? There was a girl I really liked. She was not in the line up. Turned out she was busy. In fact they said she was extremely busy, like non-stop bookings. I was too baffled by the array of fake noses like Bacarra girls but even higher percentage, to actually choose anyone. Meanwhile other shops have wall to wall fatties and just the odd slim girl. LOL e. G. Mango line up had only one slim girl, not busy.
Thailand was once a country of skinny girls. What happened? Junk food? Slurpies?
It really puzzles me why anyone would go to the trouble of posting about Bkk and Pattaya and then admit they have never been there.
Over the course of my life I've written about many places and experiences without direct, personal knowledge. At times, I'm telling a story that combines experiences from several people. In this case I'm simply trying to put myself in someone else's shoes.
Am I wrong? Probably, in many ways, but I might be close in some areas of my speculation. As I stated at the beginning it all depends on what the person is looking for. No one on this forum knows anything about the poster or his buddy, so no one can really answer his questions. You may be the world's foremost authority on automobiles, but how do you answer when a stranger asks you "Which car would I rather own, a 1936 Duesenburg SJ or a 1963 Studebaker Avanti? You can compare horsepower, luxury, style, resale value and everything else, but you can come no closer to answering the question than a small child.
However, what anyone can do, regardless of experience, is pass along what knowledge they have, to help the person make an informed choice. Since no one had done this, at the time of my posting, I gave what little I have, clearly stating my complete lack of experience.
In other words, I did the best I could, with what I have, hoping others with more experience would build upon that, eventually sharing enough information, so an informed opinion could be formed.
It's one of the reasons why I rarely post much or take much notice of opinions on ISG any more.
You don't share your knowledge, or pay attention to what others have to say, but you take the time to criticize me for making an, admittedly lame, attempt to help?
I'm honored you have chosen to pass judgment on me from your lofty throne.
If I seem a bit disgusted, it's because I am. Think about it. Right here you have many of the most informed people on Thailand, people who have been to places few tourists will ever go. Many of the people here have traveled the world, many times over. Can you imagine how much knowledge is connected to this forum? It's like having a sexual encyclopedia and history at your fingertips. A quick example, when I asked a question about Pattaya hotels, I got suggestions of places that have been around for many years, and for a place so new, the paint is barely dry.
Many of the people here freely share their knowledge, they answer questions, give advice, make reservations and let someone know when they are out of their league. They are what keeps the community alive and growing. Look at some of the other threads, the ones that haven't had a new post in 5 years. How did they die? Do those cities still exist? Do people still go there?
ISG will only exist as long as people are willing to share their knowledge and experience. I would rather see it grow and prosper, than wither and die.
There are very few 'other options' with non-Thais if your planning on taking them back to your hotel room. Most hotels want to see the ladies ID and the girls from other countries can't get past reception since they usually don't have a Thai ID card. Not sure what might happen if you picked up a Russian girl and took her to your hotel. Basically you travel to Thailand to see Thai ladies, you travel to China to see Chinese ladies, you travel to PI to see Pinya's and you travel to Macau for a variety of talent. But I've only only been to Thailand, just guessing on what you'll find in those other destinations.
