About Chinatown, this is where taxi and tuk tuk drivers go for a quickie. It's not really value for money because you're paying 500-700 baht for the girl and then another 50-300 baht for the room (depending on how scuzzy you can tolerate) but the whole sorry experience lasts for as long as it takes you to shoot your load into the condom. So let's be generous and say 20 minutes for 600 baht total, compared to 90 minutes for 2100 baht you can get at a teen oil massage shop. As for the 'girls', they're all mums but age and looks vary a lot. Some look 20 ish, others look 60 ish. Some are pretty but be prepared to be grossed out by their stretch marks. You have to pay upfront and the service you get is extremely poor.

Guys beware of this girl. I made a Rookie mistake and felt sorry for her after seeing her on Soi 11, she talked to me, and kept calling so I asked her to meet me. I took her to my room and low and behold left my wallet in my computer bag, and she stole all my dollars and Thai baht. I am embarrased to tell you how much but she cleaned me out. - over $800.

I always lock my stuff in the safe, just stupid on my part. She is very Very short about 5-2 and fat for Thai. I have no one to blame but myself.

Anyway beware guys. - Her name is BUN.

First, today's Thais have a lot more disposable income than in years past. Thais being Thais, they love to spend that money on food.

Second, the Western culinary influence. When I first came to BKK in 1999 one of the first things I noticed was that decent bread was virtually unobtainable unless you went to a decent Western restaurant, preferably German. I knew that the ingredients and technology were there, but the end product wasn't available. Fast forward a few years, add a bunch more foreigners and more Thai disposable income. Now every mall of any size has at least one doughnut shop and at least one high-end bakery. Visit any one and you won't see farangs streaming out the door with bags of goodies.

So I think that the confluence of the West, more money, and more food have resulted in all the Thais having a bit more avoirdupois than in years past.

If the poster had been rude or had asked a specific question that's been answered recently, I understand the RTFF. But that wasn't the case. He asked a very general question, one not easily answered, or found in the forums. What I feel should have happened was a discussion of the pros and cons of each place.

Does it matter if the person never contributes? Every day new people come here, looking for information. Some will never make the trip, some will come once and never return, and a few will become regular visitors, on a first name basis with every FL. But, if they come here and just get "RTFF", why would they bother coming back to share their experiences? Someone will just point out they made a rookie mistake.

There's a lot of great information here, maybe too much. Some is outdated, businesses close, or go downhill, girls move around and prices change. What good is RTFF, when the business in question was last reviewed in 2011?

Even when the obvious answer is RTFF, is there anything wrong with giving a little guidance? "I think someone reviewed that a couple of months ago. Check the forum. " or "I haven't been there but I remember someone complained about it. Check the forum. ".

Probably most of the seniors here would happily sit down over a beer and share some knowledge with a rookie. You might even lead him to your 2nd favorite massage and show him how to pick a winner. Why doesn't that work here?

However I have certainly been there and entered the Massage joint called The Cleopatra. Don't know if it still operates. At least I knew how to spell the word Maitri Chit correctly. I have surveyed Chinatown in the past including Texas massage also. I wrote reports on it too several years back.

I merely indicated a scepticism about girl quality but it has long been known to be an area for very cheap girls along with Sanam Luang as well. Each to there own. For some the price is all important. For me, the quality is all important and I found no quality to my specs in my visits to Chinatown years ago.

Why would a girl take 500 if she had enough quality and could get significantly more than that in Sukhumvit? I can't think of a good reason. Maybe there is one that eludes me. Logical thinking is not always right.

Have you got any pics of your cuties to make it more believable for such negative sceptics as myself?

When guys talk about the decline over the years, what I can agree with is the increase in proportion of fatties and the increase in fake noses and tits. I suppose that leaves a lesser number of girls with acceptable looks for me and for sure my taste got fussier as well.

Of course I am not that fabulous looking myself but quite reasonable for my age and only marginally overweight. Young Thai girls are not going to pick me for looks. Yet still I can be picky when paying.

Also that bakeries had just total crap that did not resemble a western bakery in any way. I guess they baked with rice flour rather than wheat flour. They obviously did not have any western customers.

Later american style junk food places opened like the donut shops utilising excessively high sugar content. Donuts in my country were quite different.

You can buy cakes that are quite nice in Thailand today. 20 years ago I never found any. Thai style Pizzas are really discusting with lots of tomato sauce and Mayo. So its clear western food has had a very bad influence, although Thai food has always come with a large spoonful of sugar and heavy salt.

Bar girls have recently been getting fatter as crack down on drugs has caused them to eat more food instead. Essentially drugs like Yaa Baa and Ice were weight loss meassures of a very questionable type. Now girls drink Yaa Dong, Tequilas and Coke which don't help the waistline.

Not sure why most of the Oily girls are so fat. I was not doing Oilies until maybe 8 years ago.

In general, a high portion of Thai girls married and with babies are letting themselves go and not looking after their bodies. Husbands leave though and these girls have to become hookers.

When 18 to 20 year old girls are already fat, I really wonder what is going on. However my step daughter is growing fast and does like to eat a lot of junk food in packets that I don't eat. She is not fat but is only 14 and is into a lot of sport. I guess 20 years ago teenagers could not afford to buy so much junk food.

I actually gave a rookie some advice on the German scene a few years back and met the guy (coincidence that he was in town the same time). He cabbed from club to club and I offered to drive him back to his hotel a few times, each time he gave me cash for the ride and as payment for my help both via email and in the club. So maybe seniors here should offer their private emails to rookies with their attached paypal accounts so the rookies could pay for said service. I'd happily send suggestions for 2000 baht.

FYI, I know the circle because I have been in that area for other things, namely motorbike tires. I have never been there looking for gals, so no I have nothing to add, unless you want a tip on a good motorbike tire shop. I would not have been asking about the location if I knew about chasing tail there.
