August 6 - Wednesday and 7 - Thursday. Depart from Oakland, California USA airport on Delta Airlines at 6. 05 AM for Salt Lake City. From Salt Lake City continuing on the scenic route to Atlanta for a 2 hour layover and then to Lima, Peru, arriving at Lima earlier at 11.10 PM at night. Long Lines at immigration but moving. I later found that the my cell phone carrier had charged me US $194.00 for about 3 minutes of downloading data! Left airport at 2. 00 AM August 7 because of long lines at lost baggage. Green Taxi charged standard fee of s50.00 to Miraflores. I had no other clothing and Lima was cold even at 70 degrees F. Slept some and then Bought some necessities and stuff for apartment. Walked around Miraflores to get bearings, got a sim card for my phone for s8. 00 and s10.00 minutes from Claro office.
As I did not have clean clothes, this day was going to lost. Baggage was not arriving till the Delta flight tonight and possibly sometime in the morning. Decided to have a massage after a long trip.
