In my opinion chicas who want expensive cocktails or who smoke cigarettes are mostly bad news, but no doubt there are exceptions to prove me wrong.
Aint that the truth? All the women I have every dealt with in my lifetime who smoke cigs have always had something nefarious about them...

Cinncy
Been reading the reports for a while now. Finally decided to try to head down to Sosua but can't find an airline that flies out of the midwest without an overnight say each way. Geez, I can travel to Pattaya or AC in that amount of time. Anyone fly to POP from the midwest? I'm near Louisville KY.
You going have to use CVG
Fruit juices are called "jugo natural" as opposed to "refrescos" (pronounced "refrecko" in the DR)which are sodas. Passion fruit juice "chinola" is sometimes available as an alternative to orange and is worth trying, or they have pineapple "pinya". You can also order a bottle of water "agua" anywhere
Or, you can always say, "Hi, I'll take a Coke", or "Hi, I'll take a juice", or "Hi, I'll take a bottle of water"...
Know why? 'Cause practically everyone in Sosua SPEAKY THE ENGLEESH.
Oy, with the pronunciations. Dude, just get there, lighten the fuck up, have some laughs, and bang some chicks.
Fuckin' Spanish lessons in here...(grumble, grumble).
Pardon my grouchiness. I'm cold and I'm NOT in DR right now. And that is fucked up.

Need a hotel
I'm heading to Sosua 2/19 for a week and tried to get a room at NG but was told via email they don't have a room available. Does anyone know of a nice place that has wi-fi in the rooms that is girl friendly? More expensive rooms are fine.
Thanks

Just over 1hr drive, if I remember correctly.

Dont know about Don Antonio but I stayed at the New Garden, new wing - totally satisfied. Clean, good A/c, good shower bathroom etc, $69/nite, great location. Last few times stayed at Europa and Sea breeze - older rooms, some smell, a/c sucks, poor lights, water backs up in bathtub, just not up to the mark.

Classico - Jennifer
Anyone knows whats the story with Jennifer at Classico? I've seen her last couple of times I've been to Sosua at Classico. Looks like puta but declined both times I propositioned her. Last time (6 mo's ago) outright, this time (Jan'09) I was with a friend and bought her beers along with other chicas and they danced and put on a show for us and stuff but when it came time to talk business she just said she isnt working today. Unusual for Sosua/Classico, she's the only one I've seen like that. She talks a lot to the Dominican guys, doesn't look like some local's gf or something, shes 20 something, good shape, blonde (dyed). I have some cell phone pics from my last trip but cant find my USB cable, will post them soon, just wondering if the name rings a bell for someone.

New Info
6 Februari 2009
Tourists must pay 15$ at customs
Super TucanoThe Dominican Air Force has purchased a number of propeller aircraft ('Súper Tucano's') to help in the fight against drug smugglers. The government has borrowed 92 million dollars (to pay for these aircraft) from the American government, and plans to generate funds to cover this amount by charging tourists an extra tax. When entering or leaving the country, tourists will be charged 15$ from 1 February onwards. It is not clear if this is a temporary charge, which will cease once the aircraft are paid for, or whether this is a permanent tax.

I've been noticing there has been alot of rain on the north coast in the last few weeks. Even read that POP airport was closed due to heavy rain for a few days too. Has it affected the action or # of girls that come out?
Thinking of a return to Sosua soon and wondering if the bad weather has put a damper on things.

My beach bunny called last week to say she had been laid off from her beach bar job. Mosquitoes are my main problem when it rains, wear long jeans and high socks. Also you can tell by the lack of activity on this board within the last week, that things are slow. I'm going down at the end of month, if it rains I usually play house with one of my regulars.

Rain is always an issue with the DR. At least for me it is. If you do go when it's raining you will wind up drinking all day or going from meal to meal. There are no movie theaters(only 1 in puerto plata) or musuems. You do nothing. I never plan a trip to the DR if there is rain.
The girls are there but you won't see alot of the daytime action in the streets. You won't be hanging out on the beach looking at skirts etc.
IMHO it's waste. Even if all you wanted to do was straight up mongering you could do better in an urban setting and have more to do.
Maybe santo domingo is different when it rains but it is also more expensive.

Fuck, I forgot about the rain and all. Hopefully it is not an issue in March.
