I had posted a photo of the chica I ended up leaving with back in October and some members send me a PM for her contact info. Recently I tried to contact her and the number I had been communicating with her on whatsapp must not be working because those little checks in the messages show they have not even been delivered to her phone. LOL If you get a membership and get private messaging, send me a message and I will seed you with some FB profiles also. One thing to keep in mind too is that if the do not respond right away to your friend requests, you can also add them on FB Messenger and try to communicate, this has worked for me a few times in the past. It probably has not worked more than it has but it is definitely worth a try.

A buddy and I decided to do a recon of Parque Lleras on a Friday night.

There were a fair amount of chicas walking about the park and the surrounding streets.

Some OK looking, some not so good and a few very nice ones.

Most of the girls were walking about in small groups of 2 or 3.

Anyway, a little hottie broke away from her pack and came and sat next to me on a little bench I was sitting on.

We were just chatting away a bit, flirting, negotiating in a fun way, etc.

After about 10 minutes another girl in her group of 3, who turns out to be the "leader" of her group, approaches us and demands to know if I'm going to go with her friend.

I tell her "tranquilo", we're talking, etc. She, the "leader" then demands 100 dollars from me for talking to her friend.

I laugh and wave her off.

She gets louder and aggressive and tells me to pay up.

I tell her to go away, leave me alone, and that I'm not an idiot.

She then tells me that she's got a knife in her purse.

I tell her that I've got one too (which I didn't), however, she was not even close to me, her knife was not visible, I had plenty of escape paths away from her, and lots of police were around.

I believe it was an idle threat, however, when I got verbally forceful as well she backed down, called me some vulgar names, ordered her friend to leave me, and they left.

I told the pretty and sweet one sitting with me that it was too bad that she chose such bad, loud, and aggressive friends like that.

She just kind of nodded at me.

My buddy and I walked about a little more, saw that particular group of girls walking around too.

We just avoided eachother.

I believe that aggressive one has probably gotten her way with some money from some less experienced foreigners in the past, and that's her gig.

She just gets aggressive, loud and threatens, but goes away if you call her bluff.

Most girls are cool and OK, but of course there are those other kind, like the one I ran into.

By Metro you're only 10 minutes away from Poblado and under 20 minutes away from El Centro.

Much of Sabaneta is new development, lots of high rises. Two of the largest malls in South America are in the area. Mayorca Mega Plaza at the Itagui metro station and the new Viva plaza at the Envigado station.

I didn't explore too much while I was there, because of the hills and my schedule was full, but there should be opportunities to meet regular girls. I'm not aware of any mongering opportunities.

I came to Cali in November and loved it (see report). Now I'm considering Medellin, San Salvador or Quito for the January MLK trip. Should I go to Medellín or try San Salvador. Tom Jackin seems to travel lots anyone have any recommendations where I should go over the other.

An obvious stunt for sure as she has pulled this off before and gotten away with it or she wouldn't of tried it in the first place. I perhaps would of called her bluff in a different way, although it wouldn't of made any difference but perhaps would of frightened her from trying this stunt again, but I doubt it. Instead of telling her I had a knife as well, I would of said to her to get away immediately or I am going to start screaming at the top of my lungs (ayudame), and when the police come over, I will tell them that you said that you had a knife with you, and that if I didn't pay you $ 100 you were going to attack me. Amazing that this girl tried that stunt in Parque Lleras, but not surprising.
