I had been to a g-club in Bangkok called Pegasus a couple years ago so I was somewhat familiar with the concept of the g-clubs and was really curious to checkout The Pimp after reading reviews on other sites and seeing all of their YouTube videos. I was really excited to go to this place, as they do a great job marketing their club and making it an alluring destination. I arrived around midnight on a Tuesday night and left about 30 minutes later terribly disappointed and having wasted 1500 THB. I would compare The Pimp to Pegasus like I would compare a Motel 6 to the Four Seasons. I now understand why they don't let you enter the club without making you commit to buying a bottle.
Okay, so are the girls at Pimp attractive? Yes, of course there are some attractive girls but they don't do anything except dance on stage in a bikini, sit at your table and drink your alcohol with you. The club itself isn't very nice inside and it's not as big as I imagined from the YouTube videos. There are mostly high tables with bar stools around them and a limited number of booths where you can actually sit and relax comfortably. When I entered, I was brought to the bar to sit on a stool and was asked if I wanted a girl to join me. My first question was where she was going to join me. At the bar and on the stool next to mine? The answer was yes! Now why would I pay another 1800 THB for a girl to sit next to me at the bar for 30 minutes?
There had to be 25-30 girls working this night but not too many customers. There were some tables of mostly Asian customers and I watched them just drink with their girls. I just didn't get it. I asked the mamasan to help me better understand the club and all she did was show me a price list. Maybe she couldn't hear me over the loud booming music, but I was simply trying to figure out if I was missing something. Do men really come to this place to watch girls dance on stage in bikinis and get drunk with them at their tables? Again, was I missing something? Needless to say, when the mamasan came up to me again to ask me if I wanted a girl to sit with me, I told her that I just wanted to pay my bill and leave. Now get this. I was charged 1500 THB to enter the club for 30 minutes and for a Heineken. A total waste of money but maybe I can save others from making the same mistake that I made. This club does an amazing job marketing itself through social media and using certain web sites to promote their club but to me the club is TERRIBLE and a complete waste of money.

I went to try the Thai type gogo bars in Saphan Kwai, and I was a bit mystified as well. You can get a girl to sit with you there but the benefits are limited. She is over dressed. Better off taking her away to fuck. Also a problem to get the very best girls that may be busy already with a customer. Dancing girls also over dressed to my taste.
We must bear in mind that some guys are willing to pay good money simply to have a pretty girl listen to them yack. These are guys who love talking and probably talk non stop. Not that I was purposely trying to be secretive about it, but maybe she was. I never really gave it a thought, it just happened that way. But with the Kasalong Bar and Som's Haven girls, it was done quite openly in the downstairs area in front of other staff members and the respective owner / manager, both of whom are former L0 lita's Bar girls themselves, but from several years back. In all cases the info exchange was at least several months ago, not very recently.

I also recently picked up an oily girl after her shift was over at 8 pm. Walked in spoke to some of the other girls and walked out with her. No money paid, no nothing. I only added the living on premises part since I would assume if a guy wanted to see the girl he would invite her out, not show up at the shop after-hours. The latter would of course be problematic. There was a Lollipop girl I knew from before that lived on the premises. She would call me after hours if she wanted and we'd go out. Never had any problems. I never tried to go inside after hours though. Didn't see the point.

Everyone knows I am a customer who is meeting a server at that moment in order to dodge paying the barfine when I just as well could have taken her out 3 hours earlier and would then have had to pay the bar 1000 baht. It was the girl's idea in the first place.
I am seeing a girl right now who works not as a server but as a Lady Drink and P4 P girl in another beer bar in the area and the mamasan has only asked if I would please wait to take this particular girl back to my apartment (or have her just come over on her own) after around 12:30 AM-1 AM, which is still before the official closing time for the bar, because she is so popular and a major draw for Lady Drink sales and um uh other things. 555. The mamasan is very clear that I won't be paying her bar the barfine when this girl walks out with me or leaves the bar to meet me at my apartment at that time. HOWEVER, I can not make the same claims about the go-go bar venues. Sure, I have met with several go-go dancers after hours and not paid a barfine or bought a Lady Drink. We just communicate via Line and meet somewhere after their shift is over, usually at my apartment (after openly exchanging that info in front of everyone in the bar, btw). In fact, my buddies and I have noted that, if we happen to be in a place like Dollhouse or Shark shortly before closing and not paid a barfine to take a girl out despite their aggressive moves to convince us to do so but instead find ourselves hanging around on Soi Cowboy right outside those bars as the girls come streaming out in their street clothes, it is expected that none of those girls streaming out of their place of work will so much as give us a stop, a nod or a glance. It is as if we are invisible.
What I conclude about that is they do not want their bar managers or mamasans, who might still be within view of them, to see them hooking up with guys who were just in the damn place but refused to pay the barfine to take one of their girls out. They don't even want to be seen signaling to a guy standing outside their bar. Now, it is possible that would be different if we happened to be standing well away from the go-go bar entrance and the watchful eye of the managers and mamasans.
A few more details: I am in my 60's, not an Adonis, carrying at least 3 or 4 kilos too many and speak only the most basic, bar-functional Thai most of which one could probably learn during a boring flight to Bangkok from the USA. But I do live in Bangkok so that might be a pertinent factor, not sure. I say I am not sure because after doing the above several times, I am still asked by mamasans if I am "on holiday" or "you work here?". So it isn't as though everyone is clear I have a permanent address in town or if I am just staying in a hotel on holiday.

A Girl I met from Dr BJ group had to be very careful not to be seen by other staff. This limited suitable places to meet. She took risks but tried to limit them.
