Thanks but I am not going to argue with a puta for quoting crazy ass prices nor will I try to make a scene, normally when I travel I try to maintain a very low profile and not attract too much attention.

I will post a bit more later but I have another quick report, I am an avid cigar smoker -and for the past 3 days I have been frequenting the Habanos Point Cigar shop on Calle 10 a. The attendant is great, the poor guy is a mechanical engineer from Venezuela, speaks fluent english but the owner is an asshole. I met him (owner) yesterday, brought him a drink but the dude barely gave me the time of day. He also called and ordered the shop close early when the shop had clients spending money and watching the NFL game.

Again no scene, just taking my money elsewhere.

Anyways, I don't use the 5 K Hotels as I do have standards. And if your wondering why the cashiers are in cages at the 5 K hotels, that's to protect them from getting stabbed and / or robbed. It can get pretty crazy there when the locals have been pounding down on the booze.

And as a side note, on the block you mentioned there are girls so desperate that they will go for as low as 15 K, so when you pay the 5 K for the room which includes a condom, you will be out 20 K, or about $ 6 USD. What you will get for this is includes an ugly and / or fat Chica that will jerk you off to get you hard, then slap on a condom, suck you till your hard, and then they either get on you, or have you get on them until you pop. This is pretty much is the "norm" for the poorer locals who frequent these places.

[/QUOTE]It is my guess that the higher price is with condom. I did not order or see the condom myself. I am only guessing the girl took the condom. Valencia is not bad compare to Zona Rosa.

I agree with you Surfer. Not to mention all the nasty critters that live on the bed swimming in the reservoir left by patrons. To each their own.

To scream at a girl calling her puta I do not do, just being dramatic. In 10 years this has happened probably twice, I usually never get that pissed off but just human.

Its not just dealing with putas, twice in the past 10 years I have kicked in the door panel of a taxi who literally aimed his car at me while I waited for him to pass, this costeno gets out of his taxi, he is bajo yes all 5'-6" of him, typical cosento, yelling at me until he walks up to me well he will think twice about showing curtesy to another gringo waited at the curb for him to pass. Little costeno punk gets back into his taxi whimpering like a baby.

But yes I am bigger, taller and heavier than 90% of the big bouncers you see at the front door of the strip clubs, so I never get hassled. In Colombia culture especially big tall guys get respect be they Colombian or gringos.

I will try to more accurate and precise next time, and leave out the inherited paisa drama, hehehe.

Now my best Colombian buddy is another story, he was born and raised in the bad areas of Medellin and he is a beast when provoked but an all around nice friendly guy otherwise.

And regardless of all this I love Colombia and my life here not to overshadow the chicas.

Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy company in nice digs as well, but that is only with a select few I have in my stable.

Your question makes total sense, why would a low level predator as an another poster has described guys who like the El Centro SW's have two places to stay if he is banging low end SW's. Why scream and yell? Why call names? There's no upside for me. I expect any other women within range will immediately decide they don't want my money bad enough to deal with the abuse. If there happens to be a customer around who thinks he's in love with the girl, I might just end up with a knife in my back.

When a girl tosses out a crazy price, I just laugh and say "no, gracias. " They immediately understand that I know the going rate and they'll either move along looking for a sucker or come down to the right price.

It's not my responsibility to make sure nobody else is overcharged. If some girl can get 600 k or $600 from some guy, I'll tip my hat to her and congratulate her. Now if the guy asks me, I'll tell him how much he should be paying, but if he doesn't do his research, that's his problem.

There's no reason to belittle these women or treat them like trash. I doubt many of us would last a week trying to walk in their shoes.

Typically at the 5 K hotels, it includes the condom which they hand to you, so you know it's not expensive.

I suspect what happened to you is that they just charged more than the normal price. This could of been initiated in one of two ways, either the Clerk just quoted you a higher price, or the Chica said something to Clerk resulting in a higher price which she shared with the Clerk. Lots of these girls know the Clerks, so it would be very easy for them to pull this off and you would be "clueless" if your experience base for the area was limited.

I had a similar experience in Athens of all places this Summer. I pulled a SW and went to a short time Hotel and was told 10 Euros and being "clueless" just paid it. The next day I pulled another SW and went back to the same Hotel, and there was a different Clerk, and was told the price was 5 Euros.

So this is just my supposition as to what happened to you as it's happened to me. And darn, that extra 3 K you paid has got to be rough, maybe just stick with the 5 K Hotels as the condom is included and there will be no doubt your paying the going rate.

But now it makes sense if it's to do with longer citas.

I think I have also seen advertised that some of them have 6 hours for the price of 3 hours at quiet times.

I heard the minimum wage went up 6% to like 860 mil a month, but I am not sure how well it is enforced because I have heard Chicas tell me they get like 400 mil a month. Not saying I believe everything I hear, but it's hard and normal jobs don't pay that well.

How reliable is photoprepagos? It seems to receive good press on these boards, I think. But my experience with Milerticos and similar sites in Mexico were less than reliable. Maybe it was a 20% success rate. Beyond the scams, bait and switch was an issue. Hoping that photoprepagos is reliable; I'm wanting to involve online opportunities to my plan but I just don't trust FB at all. (The application, not the chicas.).
