Cartagena Reports

Well been here a couple weeks and time to move on to Santa Marta. The clubs in el centro have been so so and have found it much better to sit down in the plaza next to the clock tower and have a beer and wait.

Normally showing up around 11:30 or midnight

Plenty of pro's working the area and allot are the same girls I have seen in the clubs. Prices have varied between 70-80mil and another 10mil at las Vegas for a room.

Defiantly a better deal then the clubs and I can hear the next morning as I have passed on the shit ass loud music with all the bass then can get out of the system.

The first apartment I rented from Mery was on the dumpy side, and it only cost around $40 to $50 per night. While I considered moving after I first saw the place, I'm damn glad I didn't. I came down with a nasty stomach bug, that left me weak and dehydrated. She took me to the hospital, stayed with me, and then nursed me back to health when I got out.

On later trips I told her I wanted a nicer place, and she delivered, with primo apartments at very reasonable prices considering the quality. I've stayed at two of her other apartments, one of them three times, and I liked them better than the Sofitel Santa Clara. I know she's had some problems with some of her owners, but you can count me as a member of the fan club.

I enjoyed reading your CTG report it was a great travel report. I am in my late 30s, also about to make my second trip to CTG and speak so-so Spanish, and judging from your chica pictures we have similar tastes in chicas.

I was curious to ask you a few things if you don't mind. What internet sites did you use to line your internet chicas? I have used Amigos.com and Hi5, I have found many more women on amigos.com however the quality of the women on Hi5 seems better. Did you find any particular site better than the others for acquiring good chicas?

Also I have an apartment that is not far from LDV that I am renting from Dave Jones. Can you tell me where your apartment was, I. E. Which buidling? And who did you rent it from? I'm very happy with the apartment I've chosen and the service from Dave Jones has been professional, but I'm curious if you had rented the same apartment.

I used cybercupido and received a lot of responses. Don't really know about the other sites though. I would probably only try the net again if I was staying down there for at least 2-3 weeks. It was just a huge drain on my time. And re the apartment, I rented from a guy named Steve and the apartment builiding, Antares, was right across the street from LDV. And BTW- I went to Hotel El Dorado and received a pretty good massaje, hj, and haircut for 100k.

This is the lowdown. I have flown into Ecuador which is supposed to be a Monger's paradise. My flight to Ecuador had a layover in Bogota. In preparing for Ecuador, I RTFF'd. HOWEVER, my layover in Bogota showed me that Colombia is no longer the hijacking, bombing, terrorist killing nation that it used to be (at least not in the major cities.) I was therefore thinking of flying into Colombia for a weekend (4 days or so.)

For someone who does not have the time to RTFF, can someone point me either to some posts or some locations where I can get the information I need? I was thinking of going to either Cartagena or Medellin. Does Cartagena have more black women?

One day I got a PM from Urbanwildlife about CTG. It was a long and very informative piece of work. Since then while never meeting this man we have exchanged info on different citys in Colombia. I am sure I am not the only member who has been helped by him. So for whatever reason you do not like him, just ignor him. Why all these silly comments about a man you do not really know? Instead of that why not post trip reports that will benifit all?

I've never met Urban in person, but as someone who has been to Cartagena quite a bit in the past year I can vouch that the info he shares on the forum is on the mark. Sure, people have different opinions and experiences in Colombia, but when you've been a frequent traveler there, you can tell when somebody is sharing legit info.

I can't say the same for the "lot of enemies" posts. Maybe they are all one in the same---a Colombian forum antagonist/UrbanWildlife stalker. All seems kinda juvenile to me, but I digress.

Personally, I like to read the trip reports and the posts that share information on places to go, where to stay, where to find chicas, prices, etc. Given that the Colombian Forum is on full moderation, can't say that I understand why Jackson allows posts from the likes of obvious copycat monikors that only want to antagonize another poster.

Oh well. By the way, thanks to Dw1987, El Papi and Papasito Rico for sharing info from their recent trips. Much appreciated, guys.
