No center of attention
And apart from that I don't like being in the centre of attention, when dozens of girls want to go with me. I have never liked beer bars as well, for the same reason. Or agogo's with only a few customers.
I agree with this. I don't really want the girl to hang on me and I don't want to be the center of attention in public. It makes me self conscious and uncomfortable. Talking is fine as long as I'm not being barraged with requests.

Recommended hotels
I saw some videos on youtube where the hotels are charging 500 baht to allow the girls in room.
Any recommended hotel that does not charge to take girls inside the room? I am trying to stay near walking street or beach so it can be easy to get to the bars and action.
BTW nice posts Mogwai, CIMGuy, Horsetrader and Explorer.

I lost my #2 massage lady. She was coming over to do overnights for 2,000 baht about once a week, showing up after work, and staying until the morning.
Well, she got pouty about coming once a week, and why I took another lady to Samui. So, I got some nasty messages.

In any case, send an email to the hotel in order to check they don't charge a joiner fee. No reason to be shy to do that.
Never make a booking without getting direct confirmation (email you can show) from the hotel that they don't charge a joiner fee if you bring a girl to your room.
They will always ask for the girl's ID for security reason, so make sure the girl has an ID before bringing her.

Bar girls lie.
Yeah, I know, that's a shocking revelation. But, a lot of guys forget that when the little head takes over.
In the bars I frequent (actually restaurants), I have known some of the ladies for many years, and they tend to be pretty truthful, since there is nothing to gain from lying to me. But, the newer ladies will lie constantly to me. Fortunately for me, there's a lot of rivalry for customers, so the other ladies will fill me in on the dirt for ladies they don't like.
I had one lady tell me she doesn't like Thai men, why would she go with a Thai man? The next lady told me all about that lady's Thai boyfriend, a moto driver.
My ex tells me she has a regular customer, but he only barfines her in the day, she tells him she has a daughter and cannot spend the night. But, according to her, he is only a customer, not the boyfriend. The next lady told me they are house hunting together, which my ex verified when she was drunk.
Of course, the ladies lie about not having customers, but then they post Facebook photos of themselves in hotel rooms.
The point is to ignore what the ladies tell you, and only think about what's in front of you right now.
When you book a hotel room, be sure to book for 2 people. That eliminates the 500 baht joiner fee.
It surely doesn't work the same in all hotels.
Some hotels would accept it only if you have only one girl for your whole staying, otherwise you have to pay a joiner fee even if you have booked a double. Some hotels would accept any girl provided you have booked a double, and some hotels will accept girls WITHOUT needing to book a double.
That's why it's necessary to get the exact rules from the hotel.

A registered guest can request a room key, charge items to the room, etc. A joiner is considered to be visiting you at the hotel, so they don't have these rights.
Some hotels allow free Thai national joiners, but charge for non-Thai's. Others will allow one or two joiners gratis per day, and will charge you after that. It is important to understand each hotels individual policies if you intend to be active in this area. The spectrum of rules is wide.
So she could fool around in other days of the week but you shouldn't? LOL.
The official position of massage lady #2 is she had zero customers.
But I don't pretend to understand bargirl logic.

I go back today for the Pattaya Fireworks festival. My condo overlooks Pattaya bay, so some ladies have asked to come over and watch the fireworks from my condo. My ex is coming back from Samui with me, so she will be staying for the fireworks, too. Which means the visiting ladies won't be boning me.
My ex will be living with her new Farang boyfriend in February. You would think that she would be rushing to see him when she returns to Pattaya today, but she has arranged to see me on Monday, and then will come to Bangkok with me on Thursday. So, I guess she is trying to get her last licks in with me, before he officially becomes the Boyfriend.
So, as my ex settles in with her boyfriend, other ladies are beginning to jostle for pole position with me. Specifically, her twin sister, and now her attractive young civvie niece is making noises. The twin sister will be going to Phuket with me in 10 days. But, yeah, if you are wondering how to find new ladies, friends and family of a current barfine may be fair game.
Other news: the Federal government has confirmed that January 16 is the day that bars are open nationwide. But Pattaya is attempting to open bars sooner, maybe December 12. Bummer for me, since the ladies will be booked up when the bars are open.

Thanks
Thanks Geyser, Frances and others.
New corona detected in South africa. The thai pass excluded the 8 african countries now. Everything else remains same. 60+ country nationals are allowed to enter Kingdom of Thailand as per new rules. In short, nothing changed for most of us. Hope, the virus does not spread too much before my planned visit in January.
