I have been told twice to leave HK by waiters for just standing still and not having a drink. My only successful strategy has been to keep moving and just stand in one place for several seconds at a time. If they ask me to buy a drink I tell them I am looking for my amigo and then walk on.
I like to check out the action in HK then do the same in other bars. If I go into HK 4 or 5 times during the night I don't want to buy that many drinks.

If it happened to you twice that's a real bummer, but I can't say I've ever witnessed a mesero actually telling a customer they had to leave.
Some meseros can be pesky, but a polite waive off generally works, even if you don't speak spanish you can at least say "No Gracias".
A real addiction is, 5 minutes after crossing the border to go home, you keep debating with yourself if you should turn the car around and come back to La Zona for more.

Guy with a tie walks over to customer and tells him he has to buy a drink. He says ok and buys a drink. Guy with a tie was friendly to customer. He never told him he had to leave but I think it would have happened if he refused. Should be noted that he was sitting down at the front stage.

One thing that sucks was that the VIP cards now are only good for 4 months instead of 6 months. I didn't believe Sbeach till he pointed at it on the HK poster. 4 months. Damm.

Cards and services. Now they think they have a lock on us sex mongers and flexing their powers.
I do like having the card, and pays for itself because I frequent this place on avg 3 times a month. Nowadays I probably go in every other time if I'm bored. More bang for your buck at the LOWER rent places like "playboy" or the dreaded delicious club!

Waiters kept following my buddies and I and we stood for like 2 minutes trying to scope out the talent. He asked if we wanted something to drink and we said just a second. While we were discussing on our options the guy says that we must buy drinks or leave. We looked a the guy and said F* it, there was no talent there anyways so we left. Group of them kinda made a big scene as we walked out. A few hours later we came back when there was talent. Saw the same waiters, sat down, and each of us walked one at a time to the bar and said we can get our own drinks. We did that the whole time we were there. Screw them. I understand they are making a living but don't make a "get out" of here scene. They can't kick us out of the seats since we have drinks and there was 4 of us. Payback is a B*
