My first post ever on ISG. Anyway, what's the process for getting a room at Campo? Just show up and take your chances, or can you book ahead? I'm guessing expedia's out.

If you call your best chance to reach them is calling between 10:00 AM an 12:00 AM. I just showed up and they set me up with a good room right there and then. Yesterday another guy flew in, he also served without calling ahead and got a room right away.

If you are situated around the convience store in the high 200-rooms you'll be able to grab a wifi signal from your room. Works relatively well. Staying in Campo is a great experience but make sure you get a room that is far from the bar so you can get a proper sleep during that week. Campo will ask for $60 a day for a room. That includes unlimited use of good aircon, unlimited tab water, a small but convenient room, two times toilet paper and the basics to sleep, shower and keep your room clean.

Yesterday was another great day / night. Picked up my wingman, hit Campo, went to Cubaweg and had my first steps to success there, and ended in Campo off course. I just woke up still in the room with my girl of choice and got some sopa to wake up. There's a good looking aroz morro on the menu today, and I just spotted a great looking MILF almorzando in la cosina. Still in the Camp. There's too much going on right now to write a proper report LOL, so just a short recap: In general Campo is relatively quiet with a limited amount of clients. Campo is a great place but lacks reports in my opinion. I see very few updates here, so maybe you could address these two questions:

The rooms do not have hot water in the showers. There's one button that you press and it will give you water for a short amount of time. You have to press it again (or keep it pressed) to get more water. Showertype you often see in gyms. The water can be a bit cold, especially at night but can be of mild temperature during the day. You are correct in assuming that you do not have to pay for entrance if you are staying in Campo. The guards will off course pat you down upon entering the premises but no fee for entering. Last week someone was robbed. Story is somewhat confusing. Police Press Release. I an not going to translate it all but on 13th January a foreigner has gotten a free ride from 2 people a man and a woman so he can go to Campo. Somewhere near Hato Caves a car blocked them and robbed the foreigner watch, 2 cellphones and some dollars. The press report is actually asking for the people that gave the foreigner a ride so the police and hear from those 2 people and get a better picture of what really happened.

I don't think it's a valid option for a tourist, but I have seen this young dude go to campo multiple times on his bike. Awesome seeing this dude locking his bike carefully outside the Camp and see him go in to enjoy himself. I imagine he saved up and thought it's now time to hit the road and indulge in the pleasures of the Camp.
