I've been getting personal messages asking for advice on Budapest and requests to meet for a beer and advice. Unfortunately, I don't live in BP. I visit a few times for work and I don't know when my next visit will be.

I am happy to post reviews and general advice on here. If you follow my instructions as directed you should have results with little or no side effects, but as usual, YMMV.

1. Get an apartment, not a hotel. There's no issues with smirking or disapproving receptionists and security. They're also often cheaper and you have more space.

One downside is that they won't have a safe and so you need to find a good hiding place for your wallet phone etc when girls visit. Most of the girls are not thieves but why take the chance? The only other potential downside is if the owner lives in apartment in the same block. This happened to me once with airbnb.
