Actually I have been studying the darn thing like a student before midterms. Can anyone recomend the top 3 day time joints that are open and have a decent lineup? (5-7) would be good. Anyhting over that and its overload as they all look like sisters and I can't recall what chica 3 looked like when chica 17 comes walkin in.

I hate to generalize and YMMV but there are plenty of girls outside LDV that would do TLN for what the LDV girls charge for ST and probably show you a better time.
Fabone, After your first post I was thinking LDV is a bar where hookers hang out, it's not a brothel. Aldo wouldn't have a lot of control over his patrons, be they the girls or the mongers. If you want some quality control you should go to a place like Pleyboy.

I was looking around and came across a couple of pix of the two girls.
"Michelle" is "Claudia's" sister and is the little terror at LDV and Elektra.
I found a 4 year old pick of her here and even though she's much chunckier today. That's definitely her.
Now Aldo, the manager of Elektra & LDV likes her and sides with her in spite of the problems that seem to follow her.
The other pick is of two girls. The blonde on the right is Michelle's sister who us supposedly banging Aldo.
Rumor has it that if the owner knew that Aldo was messing with one of these girls it would be his job. The owner tells him that he's not to be envolved with these girls while working for him. "conflict of interest". Looks like the owner is not a stupid man. But Aldo is a complete idiot and I don't think I'll be putting myself in a position like this again by going back there.
Cacharo's right. There are too many other places that have things under control to bother with these guys again.

I went to Cartagena a couple weeks back and it was ok, not good, not great. I had a better time the last time I went as did the friends I was with. Maybe its the economy around the world, I don't know, but LDV was a letdown. I really liked that place in the past. The girls were not as hot as I remembered and they wanted more money this time for less service. It wasn't that I had such a great time the last time I went but CTG is very close and I met somebody that made my stay pretty damn good. Not the case this time. I did get a chance to go to a lot of bars that I didn't go to before in the old city and the night life can be quite good if you know where to go.
I did get a chance to go to Pleyboy. I thought this might be a ripoff place because all the cab drivers touted it before to me and I didn't go. It was actually a pretty nice place with decent rooms in the back and 12-15 chicas on the dance floor and at the bar. 200k for action, includes the room. The place does close early though, maybe midnight I think or 1am at the latest.
Tony didn't come up with anything good on the beach either. I was disappointed. He is a celebrity there though, lol. I know a lot here don't like him but he is an absolute character. Just don't let him rob you on your Aguila count and enjoy the entertainment.
I think I have seen enough of this town. I have been here enough to know there are other places in Colombia and the world that I want to see and some I have been to and want to see again. Cartagena is no Eden. It is a very touristy town which is fine if you like that. It has some beautiful sites to see and is close to the U.S. Pros at LDV and electra are hardcore though. Not my thing. I did wish I had tried the casas on the list but I didn't.
I would like to thank world69 for providing the list which was very helpful and to UrbanWildlife who gave me some great advice as well. I see he has been taking some shots on this thread. Don't know about all that but the guy provided me with some solid info about the city, women and everything else in Cartagena. In the end I think thats why we are all here. Peace.

i did michelle and her so-called sister claudia about 5 years ago. they were both skinnier and better looking back then. i have not been in ldv in a while but the last time i saw michelle she was hugely fat and claudia had a big ass. i guess all those free drinks from aldo have been adding to the waistline. michelle was a problem even 5 years ago. she is not mentally stable and claudia is an out of control alcoholic. if you get claudia drunk be prepared for a fight of some kind. she can get very violent and has actually been banned from some apartments. someone i know who lives in colombia always calls claudia the "drunken injun".
there are about 15 girls that now control ldv. they sell drugs in the bathroom to the other girls and the italians. when a new girl arrives they take her into the bathroom and threaten her if she does not agree to certain things. one of them is having a minimal price of around 200k pesos. if a new girl shows up and starts screwing gringos for 100k she gets beet up by the group. this has been going on now for 3 or 4 years which is why the quality keeps getting worse and worse. i personally know girls who have shown up from medellin and were scared shitless of the other girls. i met these girls on the beach and they said they are going back to medellin since they could not make any money in ldv anymore. so the end result is the new girls go home and tell their friends in medellin that you can't make money anymore in cartagena. this is a bad situation for everyone.
the old timers here will remember there was always a group from medellin consisting of that super hot chica monica, her almost twin sister who's name i forget, catalina, yuranis and about 10 other girls that would be there off and on. they would always be together in a little group sitting by the window. i am still in contact with several of them and they all say the same thing, being that they cannot make money anymore in cartagena. i told them it was because they all started asking for too much but they said had no choice they also said there was a lot of peer pressure to do drugs and that the entire environment went down hill. most of those girls are not actually from medellin but from the small towns that surround medellin. these towns tend to be very catholic and the girls are actually very shy small town girls. many of the people on here just do not seem to understand that the "putas" they use see in ldv were just very simple country bunkins. if you treated these types of girls with kindness they always showed it back. i got monica drunk one night and she did bareback, took it in the ass, and sucked my dick for like 3 hours. i was drunk as well so i told her to "take what she wanted" out of my wallet. she took 150k and asked me "is this ok? " i have not had that type of experience with too many girls from ldv in the last couple of years. it is really just not worth going there anymore.
there are two girls you will always see standing around the front door, patricia and karen. they both sell drugs in the bathroom so you will seldom seeing them go with a guy. sex with them is absolutely horrible. i did them both once just for a test drive. ironically they will ask for 300-400k but are often so desperate that they will go for 80k if they need their fix.
i am not sure why people on here say aldo is anti-american. he knows i am from the us and has always been very polite with me. i think some of you just probably have a bad attitude with him. that being said he does a very bad job at running ldv by allowing these girls to form their own little gang. there are about 10 of them that i would ban in one second if i owed the place. however, he is screwing them all for free drinks that the bar pays for so he has little motivation to fix the problems. the girls are actually required to go to electra when ldv closes. if they go to another bar then they are banned from lvd which is why at one time you did not see too many in giromato. (not sure if i spelled that right? ). at one time the owner of giromato got in some sort of argument with aldo so all ldv girls were banned. this actually was a good thing since there was even more drugs in giromato with all the israels drug tourists. some of the real bad girls would fuck a gringo in ldv, and then with the money the gringo paid her, go to giromato and buy cocaine for her israel friends and then fuck them all night for free. that is why you never see these girls in the day time since they do not get out of bed until 9:00pm. the israels would always stay in the penthouse in the building directly beside the hilton with the pool on the roof. there would be like 15-20 israels in the penthouse sleeping on the floor. they would get 4-5 girls that were drugged up on cocaine and take turns fucking them without condoms. keep that in mind the next time you see a sweetheart in ldv!
i had to laugh at the original posters comments about his "non pro" friend getting attacked by michelle. if the girl really was a "non pro" she would never set foot in ldv! never! do not fool yourself. many of the working girls on the beach are afraid to go into ldv or too embarrassed. but a "non pro"? no way. there is not a respectable woman in all of colombia who will go inside ldv. and besides, why would hookers attack a non working girl? i also would not worry for one second about michelle's pimps out to get you. i know cops in laguito who would blow these fuckers heads off in one second if the call was made. there is a member of this very forum who had two pimps killed last year. the pimps were trying to use a girl to extort him thinking "lets get the gringo". well they picked the wrong gringo because he went to santa marta and came back with a couple of paracos. the pimps got shot in the head not far from the airport and dumped in the ocean. several of the girls in ldv are aware of the murders, know who paid for it, and know it can happen again in one second. the police also know perfectly well who paid for the hit but the police do not give a flying fuck because the guy has a lot of money. in fact, when the bodies washed up the police were more concerned to keep it quiet than to start any sort of investigation. apparently once everyone started gossiping about it the guy just called up a couple buddies in the gaula and the case was closed.
someone really needs to open a freelance hooker bar in cartagena. it would make a lot of money and bring back the old country bunkins which is really what we want, right?

Really informative and eye opening. I know why I have never liked LDV and your report just sealed the deal. I have not taken a girl out of there since 2005. I walked in there twice in September of 2008, walked right out after 15 minutes, could not stand the women in there. A lot of them had distant stares and bad bad body language, I guess many of them were wired up. Someone needs to post the photos of these nasty putas.
I like the fact the some gringo had the balls to take them on. Whoever you are good for you, good move hiring the paracos I am not sure of what happened, but obviously you had to do what you had to do.
