Common sense is not common.
Dude just said the veterans don't support the new Sosua. Maybe he couldn't read my reports. I posted yesterday promoting two new businesses in the new Sosua. It's funny how a guy who promotes getting out and doing it yourself had to get invited to Rumbas LOL. He was too scared to go by himself. Airport codes are sometimes used to name the cities like STI tells me they are talking Santiago while MDE to describe Medellin. Not really hard to figure out that POP means Puerto Plata. It's funny how dude has been in Sosua and not one trip report or hanging out having a good time. Only post was having dinner with a vet in Sosua.
Pirates Bay is the best restaurant in Sosua
I am glad you enjoyed the food at Pirates Bay, hands down the best Italian eating place with a Chef, straight from Italy. Apart from the food, the view alone is worth the money sitting there day time or night. I believe, it was Subcmdr, who had written about that place and I completely agree. Shame, people sit day in day out in Baylee or some other dumb place, apparently to fish for women in a place called Sosua, jajaja, bursting at the seams with women! Of course, many of the visitors would not know real Italian food, let alone a good pizza, used to as we are in this country with Olive Garden that feigns to be Italian.
Your post is right on time Mr. T. It just so happens that in the middle of this afternoon hunger pains hit me fierce. The crew I am running with was not interested in eating where I wanted to eat. Different tastes for different people. And I am cool with that. I am not one to hang with the group just to feel like I am being included. When I am on a real team that is doing something significant, yes. I will take one for the team in a moment. But hanging out looking for girls who want to sell me social sexual services, nah, I am taking care of my own needs first.
You know where I was headed Mr. T. Put on my eye patch and started walking. Greeted by the wonderful hostess I took my favorite table right on the rail. You know the place you know the view. In fact, you were the one that put me onto it. And I hit the place in that lull between lunch and dinner. I had the place all to myself. Not a single other person dinning in the restaurant.
I sat down and didn't even have to look at the menu I knew what I wanted. Put in my order and then took a few pictures. Settle back down at my table to enjoy the view and ocean breeze and did not have a care on the world. Peace. Surrounded only by my thoughts and endless beauty. My food came out in two parts and I enjoyed the food, the view and the ocean breeze immensely. The Chef came out to greet me. Another warm reunion. It was outstanding.
You and I understand how Sosua is so much more than just the girls. It is about being on another level actually. Everything in life does not have to cater to the base desires of the self styled "veterans" posting about the Dominican Republic (LOL). That is why I think individuals who are only focused on sexual / social services and "hanging out with their boys" that say they don't like the Sosua and have moved on. Except they have not. They continue to spout diatribe that supports their personal paradigms about Sosua. I do not have to agree with all posts that are made. They do not have to agree with mine. I welcome the opportunity to read different opinions. And then after I read them. I go on about the regularly scheduled enjoyment of my life. Because I do not have to spend my life reading about a place I can see with my own two eyes.
You know how I enjoy my rum. I got three new bottles of Dominican rum here in Sosua and I have not been able to crack one open. Been under the weather. But I hit the pharmacy I recommended before. Got me some cold medicine and have been just resting. Unable to enjoy Sosua in the way I normally do. But as long as I can eat. Pirates Bay will be my first option for a great meal.
What the hell is going on
Met my boys in Boca Chica. They just came back from the Su. All except one of the four has been to Sosua at least three times. They enjoyed themselves but they said most of the prices were ridiculous. $120 to $200 quotes. They said they were able to get a few 3000 peso hits.
The Sosua of today is not the Sosua in the glory days memories that some have
But that does not mean that any thing is wrong with it. I frequent the places I like to frequent. Not the ones being shilled by our so called vet up in here who is on my six like a bogey in an air combat movie. Going to break right. LOL!
The world has gone mad that's what's going on. Them lady sharks are sizing dudes up and are eating WELL on those young thundercats that's acting like money aint a thing and those middle age fat guys that could careless in negotiating as they readily accept their terms and conditions just to get 2 pumps in a nice 21 yr old rump shaker. Meanwhile she's out like a theif in the night as she made more money in less then a hour then a normal dominican makes in 2 weeks. If you're an OG and know the language and culture you can still finesse the gem but if you're a newbie to the culture or has never been to the SU before you're basically fucked with getting premium prices. They're noticing guys don't have alot of time to negoiate lower prices because alot are weekend warriors and they for damn sure know that you didn't fly all the way down there for Bailey's pizza.
True that Mr. Coolie. You are a "man in the arena". That is telling like it is and keeping it one-hundred. Having experienced both Sosua and Las Vegas I can confirm everything you say. Those with less experience operating here would do well to read, and pay attention, then put in to play the principles that my fellow "men in the arena" espouse like Mr. Coolie.
BTW where you meet a female at, will also dictate the prices. Reminds me of Vegas. If I meet a honey at the Bellagio or Wynn she's going to start out at quoting premium prices because of the clientele that's staying at the hotel. Meanwhile the same female knows to greatly lower her price if you meet her at circus circus or downtown freemont. The same is in the SU. If you meet a chick a Bailey's, Rumba and the Casino be prepared for them to quote you ridiculous prices and to hold strong on her conviction. ESPECIALLY during the weekend.
I experienced girls doing the same thing that you mentioned. Girls have invited me to their homes in East Las Vegas or have met in an off strip hotel for a fraction of the price they were charging their clientele on the strip.
Best move to make is to get her number and then hit her up on a Mon or Tuesday where the weekend warriors are gone and her weekend money earning comeup starts to run low so she's readily happier to drop her prices by 40 percent.
But the only way you can do that is to be in Sosua on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. And for many of the visitors here that simply is not possible. I get told no in my negotiations at least 2 out 3 times. And at times it goes to 9 out of 10. That is with new girls. But I have built a strong bench of girls that know the deal and take what I give them and are happy for it. But I just cannot resist looking for new girls and seeing if I can get one to come on for the team price that allows me to stay under the salary cap. LOL!.
But when making comparisons with regular workers in the Dominican Republic that is where we part ways. The girls I see that are probably commanding those prices are paying for hair, nails, make-up, outfits. They have travel expenses, lodging expenses, dining out expenses. If they get picked up by the local controlling legal authorities they spend a nasty night in jail, and can be fined or extorted (for money and sexual favors). I am not making excuses for the prices they are charging. But they are not normal workers. They are independent contractors. I am trying to give perspective to those that think there is "all this money" being made by these girls. Anyone who knows Dominican Culture, knows that these girls are supporting way more than just themselves with this activity. And there is a social stigma that comes with it in the higher levels of society.
Everyone must do what works for them. And if they like it, I love it. You and I have options and we don't have to pay those asking prices. Girls know this by how we treat them and they respect that. I would like to ask if you are a "veteran"? And if so, do you like the "new Sosua" as some have put it?
