You will be asked, at the school you attend, why your in Colombia to learn Spanish. I was asked this question, and fumbled a bit with it.

You should flat out tell your Spanish instructors that your in Medellin to hopefully meet and fall in love with a Paisa and that's why your studying Spanish. You will most probably get special attention from the instructors in your quest with tips on how interact with Colombian women in Medellin. Like cute things to say in Spanish to your supposed dates, etc.

Little will they know, but probably already know, that with your new found Spanish speaking skills you will be better able to manage multiple Chicas, pull off threesomes effortlessly, negotiate and bargain hunt for sexual services, and interact with the hundreds of Venezuelans and Colombian SW's roaming the streets of El Centro.

The mother had also let me know she was available for other work, but I never got around to her. Initially the mother suggested that her daughter was available, but then backed down after the daughter got back together with an old boyfriend.

I was placed after being tested in the Level 4 Class and made it thru the Level 7 Class and enjoyed the school and the teachers, but was way in over my head after Level 7. If you want to properly learn to read and write Spanish, and are used to taking University level courses, than EAFIT will be a good fit for you. IF its just conversational Spanish you want to learn, than TOUCAN might be a better option.

What I do remember from the classes at EAFIT is that there were a lot of younger students from all over the world, and most of them already spoke a minimum of two languages so they really excelled while I struggled. If it's above childlike, I can't understand barely anything. I can speak pretty well and have good survival Spanish, so improving conversation and comprehension are my main goals not really grammar.
