Some Koreans can't stand knowing a Thai girl had sex with a white foreigner, wonder if he'll be back to the bar and spend more money on her.

Then it gets even stranger, the manager comes over and explains all of this. Customer leaving, she not being happy that she lost all of that money. Then says 'you buy her another drink'. It was the Korean guy who must have been telling her to get 5 shots at a time so my guess is the manager explained to her that this customer will make it right that you lost you high paying customer without telling her 'only one drink'. Hey it was fixed right away and the manager came back over ten minutes later and bought me a drink.

Now what's funny is I was having a discussion with another soi 6 manager and the topic came up on PinUp, the gogo on walking street. And I said the girls aren't dancing so they won't get many customers and he replied 'Asians will go into these gogo's'. He then said 'Soi 6 is for White foreigners, Gogo's are for Asians'. It was then I realized this was true, hadn't seen any high roller Asians in any of the soi 6 bars until I saw this Korean get up and walk out. Funny thing was he walked by the club two times seeing if the girl was free but the manager asking me to buy her another drink kept her at my side even longer. In no way am I bashing Asians with this post, just pointing out what I never really noticed until it was brought up to me. Heaven Above just reopened so now there are three 'gogos' open on walking street. The overall looks of soi 6 girls can't come close to the looks of the gogo girls, the high rollers want the hottest of the hot to be by their side.

I will buy drinks for a lady, and if there is a good vibe, I will barfine her, with a brief discussion about price. Most of the ladies are pretty good in bed. Maybe a handful are not so good, so I don't barfine them again. But almost every lady wants a repeat customer, and if they know I live in Pattaya, they aim to please.

Where I run into trouble is during multi-day barfines. That's when a lady will act out as the third day approaches. I used to think it was something I did, but now I realize they miss their boyfriends after a day or so.

A bolt taxi is around 100 baht, easier to just book that anywhere you are where you found said working girl and head back in one easy step vs baht bus transfers. I didn't go out to the bars every day and can't see myself doing so here. But calling in a girl for some fun with that 1000 baht you saved from the bar is certainly worth every penny. Its the bars that are trying to rip you off, the price for the girls alone is pretty reasonable. I'm staying in Airbnb's in the low $200 range, hard to find those back home. With the money I save its easy to enjoy a girl every night.

There can be some other minor reasons, like if you buy a vodka and not a cheap beer, they look at you as a big spender by what drink you take and how you try to spend your money, your clothing and shoes, etc.

The bar business runs only if you pay up something to the bar. If you do not pay, then the mamasan has instructed already to not go with the guys who do not drink.

I prefer the freelancers from the road, but the best are the girls you can choose in soapies (shut down for now) or the girls from gogo's. A bit costly but you get what you want and you see everything before you pay.

No I am not cheap Charlie. I pretty love to buy ladydrinks for my barfine. I prefer to be sober , i usually drink just coke or soda. It doesnt matter what you drink as long as you buy ladydrinks. Here there is a common problem. Girls are extremely stuck up. This is not only me, many will repeat same. Unless you are reasonably young and handsome, you have almost no luck with beautiful Thai girls. Apparently I don't meet their so called criteria. For me, Beautiful Thai girls mean a girl between 18-23 years old ,slim or at least not overweight , has a decent face and of course has no baby damage. I won't dress suit to fuck a prostitutes from bar. I don't date with my girlfriend. Here is hot, and slippers, shorts and T-shirts are common clothes. It seems That, For some people, extremely picky girls are pretty normal. But I have known Thailand since almost 2005. Things are getting worse in terms of mongering here everyday.

In my experience, Thai girls are still down to earth and happy to be with you. Nothing has changed really, and I don't see how Covid would change that.

I would say that the GoGo places have gotten expensive. I think this is due to the new well off clientele, comprised of Chinese, Indian, and Korean mongers. I practically stopped patronizing GoGo bars due to this price increase.

The powers to be just want to see their customers spend some money at their establishment. This could be accomplished by buying lady drinks.

No place is as good for mongering as it was 20 years ago. That's one of the downsides of getting old.

I had the best mongering of my life this summer when the bars were closed, but maybe that's just me.

Anyway, there is nothing good that comes out of a post bemoaning Pattaya, compared with 20 years ago, unless you are selling time machines.
