I am in Seoul right now for RnR from Iraq can anyone tell me how to get to 588 by subway? I have searched the forums but found no solid way to get there by subway and the cabs are horrible.

Jae99,
If you are near the airport or any military installations, my advice would be to take an AAFES cab. I've found them to be much better than Korean ones. Drivers speak a bit of English too.
Good luck and thanks for your service.

i've read there are a lot of massage parlors in gangnam:
http://www2.gol.com/users/coynerhm/from_mobile_sex_to_group_sex.htm
Excerpt from the following this link:
You might think that all the recent busts involving Korean “massage girls” in the United States, the Korean “massage” industry must be suffering. Apparently, that’s not the case. The sex industry, like any good industry, is transforming faster and faster to become more efficient, with services now centered on massage parlors, perhaps the sex industry’s greatest success. One massage parlor near Gangnam Station, Seoul’s most famous neighborhood for massage parlors, even told Lee that he was thankful for the Special Law on Prostitution, and that “it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that massage parlors were the greatest beneficiary of the Special Law.”
There are some 100 massage parlors in Gangnam. Most are like luxury hotels, with whirlpools and other facilities. They cost 180,000 won a night, but there’s never a want for costumers. One owner said he gets about 100 customers a weeknight, and 150 a night on weekends.
I'm planning to go to seoul to check these out.
Does anybody have any info?
BTW, the article is interesting and worth a read, no real specific info though

Jae99, Dont use an AAFES cab to go to 588 as the place is off limits and the cabs record where they drop people off.
Go outside the base and get a normal korean taxi and go to Miari instead.. its heaps better and more foreigner friendly.
if you want it phonetically
Miari Car Jew Sayo
Basically means take me to Miari
can anyone tell me how to get to 588 by subway?
J,
Take subway line 1, get off at the Cheongnyangni stop, take exit 5. You will see the Lotte Store in front of you, the whole area to the right (as you are looking at the store from the subway) is 588. It takes 10 minutes to walk around and get a lay of the land, then have fun. If you use the search function, there are maps of the area, but really no need. As others mentioned, if you don't see anything you like, check out Miari. Cheers.

Gotta agree that's the dumbest thing you can do. Take a subwar or a taxi but simply resort to the local means of transportation.

Bad experiences
I've been to a few places, I'm not happy with the An ma's tho. I always get the scary women after I paid. *my fault for not seeing the women prior*
Where is the best place to find the free lancers? I thought about going to Hyatt or western chosun
Do any of the professionals there go to your room for the entire night..and if so, how much do they charge?
Any feedback would be nice. thanks.

Boss 677
I decided to take a trip there tonight, only to be rejected. "This is a Korean club, only korean members"
Oh well.

Not Korean only, I am American and have been in. They do not like people over 30 however. I was 40 but with a younger crowd including Koreans and got in.

Booking Clubs
Boss is not that great these days. Club I then revamped Juliana's probably better. Club I is at Rivera Hotel. I don't think being non-Korean is a factor for entrance.

AAFES Cabs to 588/Miari
Gotta agree that's the dumbest thing you can do. Take a subwar or a taxi but simply resort to the local means of transportation.
Jae99,
I've got to agree that there are probably smarter ways to get there, but using an AAFES cab is NOT out of the question. Just remember that you want to keep a low profile, and the only way you could do worse than take an AAFES taxi is to take an AAFES taxi while wearing your uniform (assuming you're not a civilian contractor). Having said that, I believe AAFES cabbies log their trips, but they do not make you show ID or even ask the passenger's name. It's probably not wise to ask them to take you directly to 588 or Miari just to eliminate the possibility of any hassles, so you can ask them to take you to Ch'eongyangni Station (line 1, station 124, and you probably want to use exit 5) if you want to go to 588. There is also a station nearby Miari, I believe (probably Mia station, which is line 4, station 415. I'm sure someone else knows for sure which station it is.) I believe Brain666 or someone posted good maps that show how to find both places once you get in the right area.
Welcome back from Iraq, enjoy yourself, and be safe! (both here and if you go back!)
