Ok so I've posted before mentioning me and a buddy are headed to hcmc and nha trang for December and here we are now. No one has replied to our post with any interest so we opted to not subscribe to PM. Thanks to forum post we were able to locate Ben Ny and My Tien in hcmc for the 3 nights we stayed at the park hyatt as well as the easy to find Hai Ba Trung bars next door. Thanks to forum contributors we have enjoyed Ben Ny and My Tien which are conveniently located next to each other (if you are worried about finding the address, don't worry, just search for Ben Ny in google map).

First off, Ben Ny, a charming little place. Just drive your motorbike straight in, grab the parking reciept and fork over 120k per person to mamasan and hold out your hand to the best looking girl you see and leave the rest to her. Step into the lounge chairs and get to know her and 10 minutes later she'll take you to a private room and take care of you (if you know what I mean). I chosen by a sweet # named (shit I forgot) anyways, most of the girls in there are a 5-8. I had a 6 and my buddy had an 8. I was kinda jealous. Lets make this a short review and lets just say we had a good time. The girls were nice and took their time. At the end we tipped each girl 100k each. I just reach HCM last night 10pm plus having trouble looking for money changer at this hour had to go to Phang Ngu Lau (of because rate are not tat favourable but tolerable. Had a shock as business are dropping number of tourist decrease dramatically. Currently staying at A&them 132 any body wana hang out are welcome.

Deployed in Saigon for some much needed RnR away from the battlefields of Pattaya.

Staying in PNL where I did so several years ago.

Observations:

- inflation has eroded the average viets spending power, pho is now 30k vs 10k.

- hotels are still cheap as USD15 can get you something decent with aircon / wifi.

PNL Observations.

- many more bars with viet girls as hostesses trying to entice men in. Talked with a local who said pricing was USD25+ but did not confirm.

- Several stunning girls walking up and down the streets, not sure where they hang maybe Go2 or Crazy Buffalo. Suspect pricing would be at least USD50. Doable Milfs whom my source said would go for USD20.

- Lots of moto guys selling weed / and / or girls. Did not confirm price.

Note: On google maps there two location for 110 Dien Bien Phu. One is a restaurant but it has a girl at the front who will tell a moto guy to take you over the bridge to the actual location. If you take the bus (#50) down Dien Bien Phu it will be about 10 meters away from the bus stop.

Gave the girl at the dest 120k. Sure enough, she said I have to tip 200k. So I just took my money back and went to My Tien.

They shouldn't make it mandatory to tip a set amount. It should be up to the customer based on how much enjoyed his stay. But then again, that might be the problem as well. Possibly too many foreigners going in there and overtipping. I always used to tip 100k and maybe more if the girl did a great job, but it appears they've gotten spoiled by all the overtipping. Just my guess.

Overall, Ben Nys WAS my favorite place before the change.

My Tien continues to remain 120k for the ticket and the tip amount is up to you. So I could recommend everyone start going to my tien, but I guess the same thing would eventually happen. (sigh)
