Sorry to say that I find your argument illogical.

It is easy to say that "freelancers" work all the bars and possiblly the low class ones might go anywhere they can get in. But one place can still be vastly superior to another based on having a few girls of a better standard.
How can you prove that the best standard girls go to everyone of these places?
Its also not unreasoable to suppose the a more classy girl might be attracted to a more classy place.

It seems to me quite valid to say the talent in one place is better than another in his opinion. I wouldn't know persoanlly as I haven't been to check out Gulliver's however I would agree that Biergarten was a little better than Thermae in standard of girls I saw on rather short surveys of these places. Could be due to a totally different time of day.

I saw a freelancer stunner or two just on the Sukhumwit road outside my Hotel S15 at the time and was sorely tempted.

You would have been better off to say just that you go to Gulliver's often and find the standard to be exactly the same poor standard as the others, it that was your view.

In the end I was confused if you were defending Biergarten or what?

Sorry if that last post of mine was over the top itself. I'm one on here who in particular gets irritated by the slamming tone some people take. I'd say both sides on this one would fall into that category -- neither side innocent. The original guy posting was just talking about his own disappointment in the scene, which I'd say didn't merit getting personally slammed. He wasn't knocking anyone here, just the scene in general. So there was no reason for anyone to knock him. Yes a fight thread would be nice, you guys could go there and do your thing. I wish you guys could resist the urge to be so personally critical or confrontational, but that doesn't seem possible. For me, it gets old. It's just really irritating to read these useless attacking posts. I'll never say "most people" don't want to read such posts because I haven't conducted any surveys on the matter -- that's just presumption. I speak for myself. You are absolutely correct. I have taken it to fight club. But, in my defence, I was merely defending DRRonin who was under an unfair attack. I'm not interested in any prolonged fight, especially with someone who's sole motivation seems to be unwarranted attacks on people who are posting useful information, and who seems to quickly lower himself to insulting, name-calling of the worse kind. But, admittedly, I'm guilty of having gotten caught up in this, a little. I will be leaving it alone after this. He can rant solo about anything he wants.

I agree with your previous post. He shouldn't be banned yet because he may yet post something worthwhile. But, if he continues in his current mode, Jackson will likely send him packing.

People try to defend their own opinions and actions, but more often than not do so by writing the little white lies they tell themselves.

Gullivers, BG, Absolute, Thermae etc. All attract the same level of girl.

If you want to move up a step in terms of freelancer looks and pricing, then you move to Q, Bed etc.

I find no difference whatsoever between Gullivers, Absolute, Thermae and BG because more often than not its the same girls in each place, just at different times, weeks, months on their circuit.

The girls are there to make money, now while they all try to upsell and get more, at the end of the day they need money, and will do whatever, with whoever, for however much when it push comes to shove and bills need to be paid.

Well..... on my second visit to Bangkok four years ago, the highlight of that particular visit was several sessions with two sisters (reports and photos can be found in the relevant threads) who were introduced to me by 1Ball and The Traveler in Gullivers Suk Soi five. I hung out with these girls on-and-off for a few days, and discovered that they work every available market, even when they are with a customer.

Beergarten.....the only girl I've ever fancied in there is the slightly chubby waitress who Domino photo'd, but I will never forget wandering in there one afternoon for a cold one and hearing Nina Persson's 'I Can Buy You' playing from the PA :D.

A lot of freelancers have discovered the internet and are now marketing themselves as call girls and asking unbelievable prices for their services. I guess when they aren't competitive at the Bier Garten anymore they can take a few professional glamour photos, have someone do some work on Photoshop and jump-start their career.

This is very true. I know a few who are doing this and guys are paying 4k plus for ST. These are girls that used to go for 1k ST. Times are changing!

First of all, I would not say its "El Cheapo's". This is a label slapped on it by people who cannot understand it, are frightened by it or are simple prejudiced against it.

Why are they like this? Well BG7 is the business end of the market, there is no messing around. This is a place for meeting people for sex. Those who prefer to live in fantasy land that spending thousands on a girl with food, drinks, dancing etc. And that this is not "paid for sex" cannot live in a BG7 environ.

Some men simply cannot handle the bare basic sex market, it intimidates them. They cannot handle the pure basics of cash for sex, they like to lie to themselves that its something about them, their with, their charm that makes a "higher class" girl get fucked by them for money.

"El Cheapo" is in fact streetwalkers, those who hang around the various roads and parks of Bangkok.

Freelancers are the next step up. As I have posted earlier. Absolute, BG7, Gullivers, Thermae are all the same level.

Next level up is Q, Bed etc.

So, back to your question. How do you know who is new? Well, unless you have been going for years and pop in every week or so, you will not have a clue.

I see some girls for a few months, then they disappear, and come back in six months.

Some you see once or twice and never again.

Its simple to figure out, if you see anyone you like, nod to them to come over to you, or go over to them. BUY THEM A DRINK, have a chat, see if its what you want. If not move on. The girls get nothing from the bar, so buying them a drink costs you normal prices same as your drinks, and makes them happy as they get a free drink to sit an incubate if you are not interested in them.

Well I don't agree thats things were better in the old days.
I do agree that some mongers get jaded.

You are right though. What was "better" in the old days was just that mongering was a lot cheaper. 15 years ago maybe a long time would be not much more than one tenth of the current tip expected.

Girls were dumber in the old days and some guys would think that was better. Save sex is practised more than in the "bad" old days.

But Thailand has always had political problems, The monsoon season always comes, etc. Pretty girls still get stolen away from the bars to go to a "better" life.
Some of us just get used to these things and its no big deal.

Guys eventually get bored with the same old same old.

Some of us are addicted to sex and variety of girls. We still still get this in Thailand without a problem. We have learned through experience to choose girls far more wisely than we did as newbies.

But I just collect phone numbers from girls that give me a great time. When I have collected enough there is always someone nice available no matter what holiday is happening.

On the wayward side, 15 years ago or more I went to Kangeroo club. Now it might be SOL occasionally. Its not vastly different except that the lighting is better so I see who I am messing with.

I also had some problem accepting the overly negative picture that DrRonin was painting. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Some like whinging, some like provoking others.
When was there a day I didn't want to whinge about something? But lets just hope negative things don't dominate posters attitudes.

Today met ISeeU (a famous on the Germany forum and far more experienced in World Wide Wicked mongering than me) and we had dinner with a couple of nice girls from a sports bar after a Tulip outing.

The girls at Tulip seem to be getting prettier. A few wide noses might have been adjusted to be slimmer and cute.
Top quality nose jobs can look O.K. So things are getting better. I am only used to seeing a lot of ridiculously bad nose jobs. Fa looked significantly prettier than before that I nearly couldn't recognise her. A superb job. Yok wasn't there today so I will have to check out her nose next time.

Ugh, I hate those fake noses. Totally ruins a cute soft featured Southeast Asian face to add that sharp obviously cut-up nose. Truly disturbing so many of them want to look like the dominant race.
