I will be coming to Medellin from Feb 3-9 and then again 14-16 after a brief trip to Cartagena. First of all, many thanks to all that have dropped knowledge on this forum in the past. It's part of their growth-at-all-costs model, which also includes them giving deep discounts at a loss in an effort to take market share from other ride share apps. This is why they're facing the consequences in so many places though.

Other apps appear to be more conservative, including Lyft in the US, so they end up taking less heat.

Are these other companies regulated in any way, such as insurance, clean records at least with a Cedula check etc. Just curious that's all.
