I was there around 4 PM on Wednesday afternoon and saw an Asian guy sitting with two other gringos on top of the glass covered walkway besides the Veracruz Church. If that was you, and your around the next couple of days, I will introduce myself.

If you have a laptop and an HDMI cable, you can subscribe to YouTube TV and hook up to your apartment TV. It doesn't technically work in Colombia so there are 2 things you need to do.

First use a VPN and set your location in a US city. Your home city will work. Then you have to set your browser location to GPS coordinates in that city. That's a little more involved.

Use Google maps to find your desired GPS coordinates. You'll get something like this: 35.1383976, -90.0460160, latitude and longitude in that order.

Once you have that, open your Google Chrome browser. Press Ctrl+Shift+I to open the Developer Console. Click on the 3 dots, bottom left of the window. Click "Sensors", click "Geolocation", click "Custom location", then enter in your desired latitude and longitude.

Now all you need to do is log into YouTube TV, choose your location station and watch the game.

By the way, the coordinates above will put you on Beale Street in Memphis.

We all think about enhancing the sessions with the girls, but if you're picking the right girls, there's not much room for improvement.

Elevator conversations. If you stay in a high-rise, you're always bumping into people in the elevator. In Medellin, they'll all greet you and many will be happy to talk to you. Bars and restaurants. Whether with waitresses or other customers, there are plenty of chances to interact. Waitresses are often willing to go out on a date with a friendly foreigner. Street vendors, store clerks, even taxi drivers, all are good sources of information. Getting a taxi driver to show you around his neighborhood is an experience.

Probably the biggest advantage of improving my Spanish was how it increased my confidence. I had no problem going anywhere, but I always had this fear someone would try to talk to me. I didn't want to resort to my memorized phrase: "No entiendo. No hablo Espanol. " Now I can at least tell them I speak some Spanish.

Before deciding to walk the streets of El Centro, think about your comfort zone. If you live in a city where there are street girls, are you comfortable talking with them? Or do you slow down, get a good look and then drive off? It's going to be 10 times harder when you're walking among dozens of them and you don't understand a word.

Next, how are you with the worst areas of your city? Do you avoid them and make sure the doors are locked if you have to drive through? Or can you walk down the street relaxed? By Medellin standards, most of El Centro isn't particularly bad and some is quite nice. By US standards El Centro is scary.

I remember my roommate's family and boyfriend came from Bogota for Christmas. They wanted to go downtown to see the lights. They're all upper middle class and they were uncomfortable. We parked right next to Plaza Botero, across from Conejitas, and toured the plaza. The boyfriend never took his eyes off his car, even though 4 cops were standing 10 feet away. He nearly shit himself when we drove west from there to get to the autopista.

It can be intimidating. At times, the crowds are ridiculous. There's noise and garbage and passed out glue sniffers. There are people selling Bibles, beside people selling porn, beside a church. Some of the girls will try to grab you. Some of the trannies will try to grab you. Guys yelling "blue jeanez" will try to guide you into stores. Guys clapping their hands will try to guide you into bars. Guys waving menus will try to guide you into restaurants. Pedestrians do not have the right of way.

Whether or not you speak Spanish isn't the issue. It's whether or not you can handle the whole experience.

Myself? I love it. I don't go for the girls, although I enjoy the view. I go for the ambiance. I go to get plugged in, connected to the life of the city.

Personally, I haven't had mindblowing service from a streetwalker. Every amazing sesh I've had has been at a casa. One, they are happy you chose them out of the lineup, two, they probably don't want to be replaced by another girl. The mamasans almost always ask how it was, and I say really good. I do the street walkers just for novelty, to fuck a 19-20 year old for 15 bucks. Like all those times you see a hot college chick walking down the street where you live, you think "damn I just want to take her to a room and bend her over. " well, that's exactly what you're doing in Veracruz. I go around 9-10 am every morning, and sometimes have gone around 4-5 pm. I don't think I have finished with a street girl yet, it just gets the blood flowing down there as a primer for the casa girls or escorts of which 95% I have gotten GFE from. Also, if you're standing in veracruz behind the church with your phone out, and they see you don't speak Spanish, you're putting a target on your back to get robbed or hustled. I think a poster on here got robbed there 3-4 weeks ago as he was looking down at his phone. YMMV.

Price for guests of the mansion is 240.000 COP and non guests is 260.000 COP. "Cover includes food and open bar until supplies last" with the additional note that they never have run out of liquor. Never been to one of the parties but stayed there a few times years ago and keep up with the newsletter. Hope this helps.
