The most popular festivals in early of the month November, is the Loy Krathong Festival. This festival is very welknown to Thai people and also foreigners. And it set during the weather is clear, on the full moon night, when the river is high over the country. There has an important meaning about "Loy Krathong", first, "Loy" means "to float" and "Krathong" means a lotus-shaped vessel made of banana leaves. The Krathong usually contains a candle, tree joss-sticks, some flowers and coins.

In the past, people believe that they offer thank to the Goddess of water. Thus, by moonlight, people light the candles and joss-sticks, make a wish and launch their Krathong on canals, rivers or even small ponds. It is believed that the Krathongs can carry away sins and bad luck, and the time to start the coming new year, tobe joyful, and happy as suffering are floated away.

On the night time of this festival before they place the Krathong on the water, let them drift away, there also has beauty Queen contest as an important hight light. But we call "The Noppamas Queen Contest" instead. Noppamas is a legendary figure from Sukhothai period in the past. It was said that "Noppamas" was a chief royal consort of a Sukhothai-King names "Lhe-thai". She may be the first person who invented and decorated Krathong in Thailand used for floating in the reiver on this occation. So, when the time come, in Bangkok, major places as hotels, amusement parks organise their Loy Krathong Festival and Krathong contest and also Queen Noppamas contest as major function. Fortunately, foreigners who stay in Thailand during this festival, can join the party and share happiness too.

Interesting to read the history of Loy Kratong, but Lemon Tree, there seems to be different opinons when Loy Kratong is celebrated this year. I checked this up a couple of months ago and found out it occurs Monday November 2. I just googled it and there both dates occures. How sure are you about Nov 21?

So what you're saying is that the gov't bus actually leaves originally from the airport bus terminal, then it proceeds to the airport terminal, where it stops to pick up more customers?

And speaking of which, does the gov't bus to Pattaya that leaves from the airport terminal, departs/stops on Level 1 or Level 2?

My understanding is that it stops on Level 1, that is the "bus lobby" where busses stop and depart. But I've also read from other sites that the gov't bus to Pattaya leaves on Level 2.

Can anyone confirm on which Level exactly that the Pattaya-bound gov't bus leaves?

It's just that I'll be quite pressed for time, as my flight arrives at 4pm. I know I definitely don't have the time to take the free shuttle over to the airport bus terminal. I am hoping that I would be able to make the 5pm or 5:15pm departure of the gov't bus directly from the airport terminal. As well, don't want to be running from level to level looking for the right bus stop.

I have recemtly tried out Devils Den. Its perfect for me with the website and stuff. So in 3 days in a row I have 4 girls visiting me at my hotel for 90 minute meetings. 2 girls in each meeting and I think I have tried the best girls in there.

I would recommend Airport and Babydoll gogos. Also stop by angelwitch to see the shows. Devils Den is also recommended. Needless to say there are many more places and I have not been to must of them.

Well, so I have finally visited Pattaya. Great expectations about it. Maybe too great. In fact I did not like it so much. But let us start from the beginning.

I was in Soi 6, at the Queen Victoria Inn. The room for 800 Baht was great and everything very nice, cheap breakfast included. A small part of England in a tropical area and the boss was very nice and helpful.

In Soi 6 there are 10, maybe 15 bars. Very few people around so the girls were very aggressive, which I do not like. Plenty of ladyboys which I like even less. Inside the bars there is absolutely nothing and the girls insist for short time in the bar. I never got it because I guessed that it was not so clean and because I considered quite stupid to go there when my hotel room was so close. I noticed very very few girls worth of attention. To be honest I saw some people who were living in my hotel with gorgeous girls but I never saw them in the bars around or in Beach Road or in the nearby area. So I have no idea where those lucky guys had found them. And I also saw some gentlemen with nice girls walking around in day time but, again, I have never seen girls of that level in my search. And, IMO, the 95% of the girls in the area were not pretty at all.

So, the first evening I had a walk in Beach Road and, at about where there is Al Capone Pizza or something like that, I found few girls offering massage, 300 full body. And the mamasan offered me the prettiest of all. So we went inside and she gave me a rather ordinary massage. At the end of it, no words, no nude, no groping, nothing, she just made me popping. I asked her about meeting later in my hotel but she asked for 2000 Bath which I considered too much. When I went to pay the lady asked me for 800. And I asked why, since the first request was for 300. And she told me about the happy ending. But I replied that I did not ask for it, nor the girl offered it or told me about extra money for it, she just did it. So we agreed on 500.

In the night I had a walk in Beach Road and I found not more than 6/8 ladies, all of them quite old and not pretty.

The following day I walked in Second Road. At the end of it I entered in Sabailee and Sabailand and another soapy whose name I do not remember. All of them very very close. Price was 1700 in two of them and 1600 in Sabailand. So In went in sabailand. Just few seconds sitting and watching the fish bowl and I saw a stunning beauty smiling at me. So, since the most beautiful also looked like the one most willing to come with me, I chose her. Her name is Paa, from Chang Mai, 32, with a son. Well, absolutely beautiful, sexy, nice, good English and very professional. To be picky the only, small, negative point is that she is too professional. I mean a bit cold even if she is great under any point of view. Another negative point is that she performed all covered and did not allow any anal fingering: "Go to a ladyboy if you like that", she said. But it was a very very nice 90 minutes fun.

The following day I got a girl from Halifax, if I remember well, anyway the last bar on the right before Beach Road. Absolute ordinary service. All covered, 300 for the bar and 700 for her, short time. Fifty minutes later she was already leaving me. Never found girls willing for LT, all of them insisted for ST.

I always had a walk along Beach Road in the night, where I found very few and not nice girls, and Second Street, where I had a look in the bars. Sometimes something decent but they asked for 2000. And I do not understand why I should pay 2000 or more with bar fine to have an ordinary FS, when for 1600 or 1700 I can have a 90 minutes soapy massage with FS included.

The (normal) massage center in Soi 6 and Beach Road is very nice, clean, good girls and 200/400 according to feet of oil massage.

So, IMHO, Angeles is by far much much better. For the prices, the quantity and the quality and the attitude of the girls. The only good point in Pattaya is that there is the seaside.

The only good point of this experience is that, when I saw what was the offer, I went to an internet point and tried to find a girl in a dating site, Single Thai or something like that. I chatted with few of them. And I found a girl of 26, who works as a condo saleswoman. Very very pretty and funny and cheerful. The first evening at dinner she asked me about my plans and I told he I was going to Chang Mai in few days. She replied she had never been there. So I invited her to go there with me. And she agreed, of course. So she asked for holidays and two days later we went to Chan Mai and visited the North and Doi Suthep and Lampang and Ayuttaya. She was a very nice partner. We had also good sex in the night. Nothing special but good. At the end of it, in BKK (I stayed there 4 days and I will write a report), she left and I gave her 2000 for 5 days together.

This was a good part, but Pattaya itself was really disappointing.

Pattaya vs. Angeles City is one of those age-old questions that everyone has to decide for themselves. I've always thought of AC as a shithole -- in a nice kind of way of course -- but it's looking better and better the more commercial and over-developed Pattaya gets. We should just be thankful we have them both.

Welcome to the new Pattaya! Generally lacking quality girls and overpriced.

There's good stuff to be had in Pattaya, but you got to go out, find it, and negotiate. Time consuming and exhausting, but worth it if you're willing to work for it!
