Filipinas - Opinions and Advice

A young (but wise) expat friend of mine who has been in country for about two years, recently told me that, in his view, this is a country inhabited solely by adolescents, and he's correct for the most part. That being the case, it's perhaps not surprising that a 27 year old woman behaves much like a 12 year old girl-since her mental age remains fixed at about twelve. That being the case, and CDO being the smallish city that it is, I suggest that you have her meet you in Davao, thereby avoiding the possiblity of her family, friends, neighbors and barnyard pets dropping by your hotel. At least in Davao, if it doesn't work out, you an always send her back with the reasonable assurance that she cannot return to haunt you.

The drive from Iligan to Davao is a long one. It's about 1. 5-2 hours to get to CDO and then another 6-7 hours to Davao. Of course you can fly CDO-Davao in 30 minutes, and from CDO to Cebu in less than an hour.

It is always extraordinary to see chaps setting things ahead so to arrive in the country welcomed by a "nice to see you, darling" board at airport arrival. While the can make some sense in some inhabited country where pussy is rare and the hunt difficult, those blind dates, given also the huge amount of well known scams, can't be anything else than a high risk of a (financial) disaster.

Given that finding pussy in SEA is generally easy and lots of girls are on the search of a LTR (and more) common sense would suggest one arrives with no welcome expectations, goes out on the hunt and once he finds the good one he extends to the LT or LTR. At least he seen his target in real, checks the chemistry and performances, both in bed and in GFE.

I don't think his hunt will take far more than a day.

The chances to score are far better and more reliable than hitting through DIA and avoids the hassle of sick buffaloes, broken brother at university, old mum having to pay the funeral for her ninths grandfather.

This is a quick way to find out about a girl's modus operandi. As a gentle observation, going out of your way set up a date with a peasant girl in the middle of nowhere who is showing all the signs of being a model parasitic provider shows extraordinary lack of awareness. Just for curiosity, my inclination is to recommend to proceed full steam ahead!

That being said, I have seen this kind of "innocent newbie request for advice" a number of times over the years, with the same well-intentioned replies from experienced members. Has there ever been a case of one of these requesting members posting back their actual experience of following through? Not that I can remember. Much appreciated guys.[/QUOTE]To get a passport requires birth cert, voters I'd, NBI clearance and something else. Its all clearly listed on the website. How lnog. Depends where its being pobtained and whether you are paying an agent to help or she's doing it herself. NBI clearance can be up to a day in itself to obtain, if you join the queue / line at 4am that is.

She can fly locally with just a voters ID.

Much appreciated guys.[/QUOTE]Normally a month from the DFA for a passport but the fast track is a week as long as she has all the paperwork in place (eg NBI clearance, barangay clearance, birth certificate). Cost I think can be found of the DFA website as can most of the requirements but if I remember (and please correct me if wrong) around 2000 pesos for the normal process excluding the costs for the supporting documents.

As F3 said, a postal I'd is OK for local flights and is easily obtained

It was a 4am arrival flight so I figured if she was that keen it must all be good. She was 18/19 and living in Antipolo. Arrived in aiport, and she was exactly like her pics, wearing nice heels, curvy tall body. Hands were on each other in the taxi and we were going at it maybe 40 mins after touch down (fort bonifacio not far from Naia 3) And as a nice touch I recall she kept the heels on even if everything else was off LOL.

She left my place by 12 noon and I was happily set up for the rest of the day. We had a follow up meeting on my next trip but second time is never as much fun as first. Overall tho, for a newcomer to arrive, not knowing his Makati ave from Ayala ave, his P Burgos from Burgos Circle it wouldn't be wise to be met at all.

Heels. This (as well as pocket rockets). Are the matter of state affairs that we need to educate the girls on. Sleep with them on also would be my tutition tip so when you awake it is a nice 'touch' for the early breakfast

Mind you, she has not asked me directly for any financial help, however, she has been repeating those in almost every one of her email since we started chatting about 2 weeks ago. In her emails, she would be extremely sweet, warm and express her unconditional love to me despite not having met her yet.

They all say this and the easiest reply is "wait until we meet, see if we get along and then I can help possibly" This will see if she 'genuine'

As for cell phones and pawn shops. And I maybe wrongly informed here so correct me please. But I was spekaing with an old friend the other day who told me she cannot pawn her mobile in any pawn shop now as this practice has been stopped (at least in her province / town). Can't remember the reason but this is what she was telling me.

Also for cell phones I have said to cuties that I have a very basic Nokia with me (cost $25-$30) and she can have that once we meet. I do have this as I find it is fine and works in PI. She may say no as "needs a camera to take pictures" but say this is to text you so should be fine as it is a mobile and she does not have one now. Get her reaction LOL. As this also tells you about the girl. Where I live $25-30 Nokias are plentiful and I carry one as an emergency mobile in case my other phones pack up so can give to any girl (and have done so before). Some are grateful (the good ones) some moan (so you know what to do)

Another hint is to say to her that once you meet you could go to the pawn shop with her to collect it again. This sometiomes worries the cuties (for a variety of reasons!)

But the above is a common list of reasons why you should never do all that until you meet and are happy etc. And she has has directly asked you for financial help Sprite. Just in a subtle way.

Just see her and tell her it all depends on the chemistry. If she really 'serious' she will will turn up and be so nice and loving etc, if she persists with the demands then you have your answer about whether she is genuine IMHO

One was telling me how she lost her phone and has to wait until payday to get another one. She said this twice so I asked her what she did. A student by her assessment. She might have a pt job but how can she afford a phone on a pt job pay? Fishy indeed. I won't be chasing that one!

Pinays seem to like to drop hints like these. Play dumb. LOL
