Sosua Reports

Arrived in Sosua on Thursday afternoon for a short three day, two night stay. The reason I chose Sosua, Dr was its convenient location (3 hour flight from Atlanta) and the reviews I had read about this mongering heaven.

Hotel: Stayed at the Seabreeze hotel. Chose this hotel based on review of their website and recommendations from other members. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a dump. Probably one of the top one or two worst places I’ve ever stayed at. This hotel supposedly has been recently renovated, but they must have missed my room. I noticed on Friday evening that I had water in my floor of the bathroom. I didn’t think much of it, but on Saturday morning when I went to the front desk to get a couple of towels I told the front desk clerk about the water and she did send a maintenance man right away. The water was coming from a leak in the upstairs bathroom toilet (not a good thing). The one good thing about this hotel is the security. Chica’s must (or supposed) to have ID and leave it with the guards in front. Chica’s must be escorted out by you to the front gate.

Chica’s:
Thursday evening I went to a few of the bars on the main drag (Pedro C.). One dark skinned mid 20’s beauty was having a drink with a girlfriend and two gringos. She was giving me the look, smiling, tongue moves, etc… After the gringos leave she motions me over. She spoke decent English and I speak minimal Spanish. Her parents were from Haiti and DR. Your trip report is very honest and very typical report of newbies to the SEWER, The language barrier was the biggest issue and while its getting harder and harder you STILL can find miniscule diamonds in the rough. I gave them what I felt like giving them and they were happy. True there is a lot of mother's out there but don't be shy to ask them to see their body. Thanks for your honest and fresh report. Sorry that you did not have a good time. Many people refuse to due honest reporting if it is negative. And others like to make it seem like you did something wrong if you had a bad time. I have been going to Sosua for 3 years and you are right about Sosua being a dump. I remember Sea Breeze Hotel when it was closed up and in need of a renovation. Last October I took a look at one of the rooms in Sea Breeze. I was very disappointed. The outside of the hotel was renovated but the inside looked like crap. Many mongers take the approach that they only need a four walls and a bed to be on a monger vacation. Then when they write a report, the report does not accurately describe the quality of the hotel.

Recently I have posted about how chicas are driving the prices up. Guys then responded (on another board) by saying that they go to the campo or Santo Domingo and yada yada yada. I agree with everything that you have said in your report. However I will still be returning to Sosua in less than 2 weeks.

This is because I have the experience to know where to get what I want. But I still call it like I see it. Just because I know how to avoid some traps and problems it doesn't mean that the problems don't exist.

I too am sorry you didn't have a wonderful time. I was going to recommend that you try Blackbeard's next time but I see you've done most of your mongering in Asia and was thinking that maybe the mongering atmosphere in DR is a little too hardcore than what you've experienced in Asia.

I much wrather arrive at the POP airport and rent a SUV for the trip . Go at my usual condo in Cabarete. I am sorry that you had a bad experience. I only spent 3 hours in Sosua during my DR trip, I stayed in Puerto Plata, and had a much better time. Yes, it is ALL about the money, and you knew that when the clock started. Sometimes, and it happens, you get bad picks.

I wouldn't go as far as to say they are below crackheads, but I will say that you can find much better and much cheaper on the streets of Sosua than at La Passions.

I'd like to add to this advice but in reverse. When I was in DR in December I used Blackbeard's has home base and went to Classico's in Sosua to pick out chicas to bring back to BB's.

Nothing beats having a handful of babes to select from throughout the day and then going to scout the cream of the crop in Classico's at night to find someone to bring back to your cave at BB's.

This also cuts down the "hit and run" factor significantly. If a chick is agreeing to come back with you to Costambar at 2am in the morning, she knows there is no place for her to go until daybreak...

Sorry the trip was such a bummer. I think your conclusions are pretty much correct, that is that there is no point negotiating for "multiple pops" ahead of time, and that knowledge of the language makes things much better. You are probably right about the hotel too.

See my other most recent posts for further advice for DR newbies, but briefly:

1. Try and learn at least SOME Spanish before your first trip.

2. Focus more on relationship side and less on size of tits if you want to get great GFE. Don't negotiate sex acts, multiple pops etc. ahead of time, because this makes the girl feel like a puta (which she is, of course). If there isn't a good vibe between you, she will renege on what you thought was a done deal one you have had a climax.

As far as hotels go, cheap + chica friendly usually = lousy. May be better to get a room in a nice hotel for you, and then rent a cheaper room for sex somewhere else.

Chicas at La Passion. I have always thought that they had a reasonable selection of girls there. They tend to be mostly quite young and petite--away from home for the first time. I have found them friendly and accomodating in the past, but maybe he just has a poor batch at the present time.There is a fairly rapid turnover, and of course you only have to find one or two to your liking to be a happy customer.

But you need to look hard and they seem be far and few between. They also seem to look MUCH better OUTSIDE of work without the tacky outfits and where you can negotiate with them as well..
