You might want to try visiting Korea. I believe that you will have a wonderful time there. Besides it's only a ferry ride away. Korea is definitely cheap compared to Japan, but don't let that fool you though. Japan has the highest consumer prices in the world and anything that you buy in Japan is inflated in it's price compared to any other country in the world. I believe that prices in Korea are very akin to Taiwan and I also found prices in countries like netherlands and spain very similar as well. 8. what does long time/short time mean? short time is usually one pop and long
time is usually all nite with a minimum of 2 pops. more pops is up to you and

10. should i tip or pay cab fare? cab fare is a scam to get you to give them
some more money. usually, they are not going home, certainly not by taxi. it can
be wise to pay a tip to get rid of them, so paying a "cab fare" can make sense.
tip only in moderation: if you get rid of a tg (thai girl), you don't want her
coming back on to you for more tips.

11. what is a cheap charlie? thai girls might call you a cheap charlie if you do
not pay them enough. don’t be a cheap charlie over a handful of baht but don’t
be a chump either. they obviously want you to pay more and if calling you a
cheap charlie will get you pay more, then they will call you a cheap charlie.

12. what is a barfine? you must pay the bar for income lost from taking out or
barfining one of their employees. go go bars and most bkk bars are now asking
500 bt + for this. in pattaya, a bar fine can be as low as 150 bt. the bars tend
to be inflexible on this, even if it is a slow night or near closing time. the
mamasans, who run the joints, also tend to be on the lookout for girls making
private deals with the customers.

14. taxis and buses to bkk from the airport? take aircon bus #29, a blue bus,
with the door somewhere in the middle, to sukumvit. go to morchit skytrain
station and take the skytrain from there.

to take a taxi: get your ticket at the taxi booth outside the terminal
(following the direction signs inside) to the left as you emerge and down toward
the end of the terminal. insist he turns the meter on; it should cost 300-400
bt, depending on traffic. traveling from the airport, you can pay 2 road tolls
that speed up the journey considerably. some guys prefer to go to the departures
floor, which is one floor up from the arrivals floor. up to you.

15. is thailand (land of smiles - los) safe? very, but still use caution. the
tourist police can be a great help for minor matters. but if you fall for a gem
scam, you are probably on your own. if you break their customs and taboos, as
explained later, it can be very unsafe. but in that case, you have brought it on
yourself.

16. scams? watch out for scams. one of the most infamous ones is the gem scam
whereby a thai stranger approaches you and brings you to a gem shop where you
buy overpriced gems. there are many instances of people losing over $10,000 us a
shot at that one. don’t be a mug. also, do not go to massage parlors with tuk
tuk drivers or anyone approaching you on the street. the ladies in the photo
will not be available and the person who brought you will get a very hefty
commission. also, if you are foolish enough to enter the drug trade, be aware
that your supplier might set you up with the cops. the penalty for trafficking
heroin is death.

17. i am black, will i have a problem? no. as most customers are europeans or
aussies, african americans are a relative rarity. their pussies are well used so
size, like color, is not a problem. also, no matter what they tell you, if they
can string some english together, they have been bonking farangs for a long
time.

18. do they sell viagra in los? yes in just about every drugstore at world
market rates in 50 gm and 100 gm doses without prescription. there are some fake
ones about apparently.

19. do the girls speak english? yes, most of the ones you will be befriending

22. what does butterflying mean? the women take a dim view on butterflying –
flitting from woman to woman. their rationale is finders, keepers. if they snare
you as a meal ticket and if you stay with them for a few days, then they believe
you are theirs. the fact that they screw all and sundry is irrelevant. be
somewhat circumspect as both face and money are at stake to them if you are a
butterfly. you do not want an angry thai girl (tg) on your hands.

23. what about travelers checks (tcs) and credit cards? tcs cost b14+7 to change
to baht per check. exchange rates are 'good', much better than changing cash.

24.what is the legal age? 18 years old for prostitution. the age of consent in

25. how do we calculate thai ages? the official thai calendar is calculated from
the beginning of the buddhist era in 543 bc. the year 2002 ad is therefore 2545
be, 2003 is 2546be and so on. so, to determine the danger zone, subtract 18 from
the buddhist year. be aware, however, that there is a large market in fake ids.
be also aware that people might try to set you up for a sting with an ****d

26. does every hotel allow guests? no, check first. most of the ones in the sex

29. are many tgs dark skinned? yes, many of them come from isaan and speak lao.
many thais despise them, which is ok if you are not thai. however, you get many
different shapes and sizes. there is bound to be one to please you. needless to
say, particularly beautiful tgs often carry a price premium.

30. are there a lot of bi girls there? what about threesomes? yes and yes, but
many are shy at first. seems much easier to get them now. there is no guarantee
of a great bi performance by the ladies; they do it for the money.

31. are they into anal? yes, but not too many. places like the eden club (check

39. are there any good doctors there? yes, in the tourist areas, ask your hotel
manager for the nearest location. bumrungrad hospital, the big hospital near
nana in bkk, is the best in all south east asia. it is world class.

40. are there many she males/ ladyboys there? several, yes and they have a bad
reputation. spotting ladyboys is not a problem if you are sober and alert. they
tend to be bigger, have bigger limbs (!), wear lots of make up, scarves around
their necks to hide their adam's apple, and are notoriously light fingered.
consensus here is that they are best avoided. they often prowl late at night
when customers have too many drinks on them. although ladyboys (or katooeys, as
they're called) are big business in thailand and are readily available, because
this is a board for men looking for women, not transsexuals, and as the vast
majority of the references to katooeys here are about how to detect and avoid
them, you should consult elsewhere if such are your tastes.

have their preferences, the thai sex market is very big and very mature and, if

thai prison as they are notoriously tough. major crimes include trafficking
heroin, which carries the death penalty and hiring child prostitutes. be also
aware that foreigners caught using designer drugs such as ecstasy might also
expect a hefty sentence; this is to deter the growing use of such drugs by
thailand’s middle classes.

66. taboos? do not criticize the thai king, the buddhist religion or anything
else the locals might get sensitive about. although the thais appear very
tolerant, it is their country and when foreigners have disparaged things they
cherish deeply, they have been known to get very nasty. nor, when they decide to
fight, do they fight by any rules you may be aware of: if, for example, you
insult the king, you might be beaten to death by everybody who can get at you
and no one will have any sympathy for you. that includes the police, the
judiciary and the undertaker, who will certify that you died by misadventure. do
not cause such trouble. we are all there on vacation. if you want to cause
trouble, go somewhere else or stay at home.

67. how can i help my fellow hobbyists? simple. post your experiences and views
in the most relevant place. reports from the field giving current market
conditions are particularly needed, detailing specific contact information on
the ladies. also, reports on areas not fully or thoroughly explored are
particularly welcome.

Pussy in Shinchon/Hongdae?

If you mean the kind you can purchase, then there are barber shops and room salons in that area, no different than the ones anywhere else.

But the clubs in Hongdae, you can pick-up just like any other "bar". The difference is that the crowd is fairly young (university) with some older girls mixed in. The clubs that are most "pick up" style are:

Stompers, MI, Joker's Red, Matmata and Myungolwon.

But not so much the last two, since those are techno clubs and alot of girls just go to dance etc and aren't looking for men. Secondly, the girls in Hongdae might not be as interested in foreign men as the girls that visit Itaewon. Girls go to Itaewon because they know thats where the foreign men are. Girls go to Hongdae for the reasons western women go to clubs.. which isn't always hunting for dick. But I've never had any problems chatting up girls in Hongdae, but I've had way more luck in Itaewon.
