cebu was not good this trip. i was at park lane hotel for 3 nights and i hated it immensely! it is easily one of the worst places i ever stayed at. attitude of staff was arrogant and rude. most spoke no english or only that of a third grader at best. left a rep001hing letter for the hotel gm (big shot was too busy to talk to me) informing him of all my problems.

from agoda i got a rate of p3100 / nt at current exchange. the crowne regency where i stayed for the last umteen years in guadalupe chatges me p 1920 / nt for a far superior room with two nice queen size beds. and no rude arrogant staff. i owe them an apology as i did not realize just how good i had it. i paid p 2300 / nt last november at the elixabeth hotel and i sorely wish i contacted them to see what rate they would give me now.

honestly, it was so fucking miserable that i could not wait to leave and i even considered forfeiting my last night, even though i had prepaid it. fucking asshole losers. from the moment i arrived and my taxi driver had to assist me with my bags as the bellboys could not be bothered to come out. when they did finally come out, it was a few moments before i realized that they did not comprehend a single word i was saying in english.

the assistant, assistant whatever girl who did condescend to talk to me when i departed was just of the "uh huh, ok, you had problems. well ok" sort of loser like you get in the us postal service (why i never go near a post office in my city ever). not sure her english was above the fifth grade either.

one problem was that the morning after my arrival i was returning to my room with a lady i had spend the night (nude photos of her were posted here last dec) , age 34. one of the reception stagg approached her and began a conversation with her in vasayan. he acted like she was his girlfriend or sister (she was neither). i told him,"speak only to me and in english". he ignored me and continued to talk to her. then smirked at me and said "sorry sir". my reply was "fuck you".

on the night of my birthday at ten o'clock at night they deliver a small cake to my room. i am there with a different girl. some guy from the receptio desk calls me and begins to rattle off some stupid comments as these two women are delivering this cake late at night (? strange at best). i tell him to get lost and hang up. he continues ringi9ng my room. when i finally answer he swears at me, threatnes me and says "you say fuck you to me!" i am coming up there now!

i go open my room door as i do not want this asshole pounding on it at 10:30pm. i figure i can shove the lousy cake up his stupid ass when he arrives. stretch, make a few karate punches at the cenent wall to test my fist strength and relax on the bed. i say nothing to the young girl with me and i guess she assumes all american guys do some karate punches at a cement wall nightly before sleeping. he does not show and i hear nothing more on this. no one knows anything about this guy or his threats when i go downstaris in the morning.

i inculde both incidences in my letter to the fucking hotel gm. i will submit complaints to various agencies and post in cebu city website. i will never stay in the park lane hotel again!

sorry to hear it was bad as my stays al; ways good. as you know i stay elizabeth as a newer hotel and rooms are much niceer. think the owner (chinese?) is not spending great bucks on renovation and as cebu gets more visitors am sure more hotels will appear. diamond suites is across the road, very big rooms with reasonable prices on [url]www.hotels.com[/url] (agoda for me always more expensive). but you know i like the elizabeth neever any hassles nice rooms close to ayala.

I live in the Manila for few years, and realized Robinsons Malate seem to have many FL. I go regularly to Cebu, which area in Robinsons you got that "7" 3-somes supply? Coffee shop or what? I will be there a month from now.

The coffeeshop as you get to the top of the stairs is where I met mopst of the ladies for Threesomes. Most are sitting in pairs and I just invite them to join me at my table. As I found out, the Hotel you stay in makes all the difference. At Park Lane I was paying $ 74 / Nt for what was supposedly a special rate. The hotel service was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! If you had a question, request, compleain or anything at all, you had to telephone the Hotel Operator. Explain it to a 20 somethig girl speaking 5th grade english as best. She would then relay your request or simply dismiss it. Often when I called this Line was busy or just kept on ringing. I have not encountered a Hotel with this system anywhere else in the world.

The attitude ot the entire Hotel Staff was that of "we are superior to you, as we work in the Park Lane Hotel" (like who gives a fuck!). Having some loser from the Front Desk Staff approach the girl I was with, start up a conversation with her and ignore me as if I was not there, this is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

You guys can do as you choose and stay where you like. After 20 years coming to Cebu City I will return to Crowne Regency Hotel in Guadalupe (I pay $ 42 / nt for a big, nice room with jacuzzi bathtub and 2 queen size beds). If I can get a decent rate again, I will stay at the Hotel Elizabeth. I was there for four nights in November and it was great.

Also the Park Lane has the most overpriced Room Service of any Hotel I ever stayed at anywhere in the world. A beef tenderloin steak dinner is P 1160 ($26. 5) as compared to P360 ($ 8. 20) at the Crowne Regency or P560 ($12. 70) at the Apoview Hotel in Davao City (excellent beef tenderloin!).

IT DOES PAY TO CHOOSE CAREFULLY WHEN SELECTING A HOTEL. And if you do not spend much time in the Hotel, good for you. Unlsee you fuck on the streets or pay in Clubs or Brothels all the time, you do not get laid much either. And you do not care too much about the quality of the sleep you get either.

For me, A Decent, Reasonably Priced Hotel with a large, comfortable room, good room service and comfortable beds as well as one or two decent restaurants and a bar located inside the Hotel IS ESSENTIAL.

Its good to hear something other than the "Parklane can do no wrong" lines that seem to be endlessly trumpeted on the main PI board.

Although the room itself and the main restaurant wasn't bad, I had nothing but contempt for the front desk staff after my stay there last September. 3 hours after I had arranged an extension they locked out my keycard, tried to pull a bait-and-switch on the rate and had the nerve to try and charge me a late-checkout fee when I refused and checked out on the spot.

Thankyou. I wish I had your comments BEFORE I made a reservation at the Park lane. THIS HOTEL SUCKS! I did not mention that I had to bring down my own three (3) bags as I could not wait any longerr, after 15 minutes waiting, for the sucmbag bellboys to come get them. I do not travel light as I had gifts for my children and their mothers with me plus champagne to celebrate my birthday, Rose's in Davao (Conor's mom) birthday and for GoodEnough and myself to drink at him Estate in Davao City. It was a pain to get the bags all downstaris but the youn g lady with me did help.

I stay at Hotels not only in the Philipppins but in Los Angeles, Portland, Oregon, New York City, Hong Kong, London, UK and Japan. I never experienced such poor service. And this from a Hotel claiming to be four stars (Ya Right). And the one asshole from the front desk phoning my room at 10:309PM telling me he is on his way up to fight me. That was more than absurd. Had he entered my room I would have given him some fast martial arts lessons and called the Police to report an assault on me. I am a contributor to the Campaign of the Mayor here and had photos taken when I accidentally ran into him one evening last September.

I have stayed for 13 years at the Crown Regency, Guadalupe, in Cebu and occasionally at the Marco Polo Plaza here. I was foolish to try this Hotel for three nights. Whenever I "experiment" on a new Hotel in the future I will book it for only one night so I can get the fuck out should I realize hos miserable the palce is. And the Hotel Elizabeth is only one block from this piece of shit hotel. I will either return to the Crowne Regency where I never had any trouble or go to the Hotel Elizabeth again as I stayed here for four nights last November and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Two of our members here are visiting Cebu City now. I heard from one of them last night. Both are staying at the Park Lane Hotel which only shows how much influence my Posts have (little to none). Perhaps they will do okay there (perhaps it will snow in Cebu today also; get your gloves and snow shoes ready).

Just a block away from the Park Lane is the Hotel Elizabeth which opened last September. As I stated, it is less expensive than Park Lane and much nicer. I was there four nights in November and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I get the Crowne Regency Hotel in Guadalupe for P1920 / nt. I left as I was tired of them speaking no better than third grade english and being constantly addressed as "Sir___"; even after numerous times I told them NOT to do this. Still, the rooms are big and nice, having been completely remodeled a couple years ago. Ground floor rooms have very big, jacuzzi bathtubs which is also nice. Room service is good, extensive menu and less than half the price of the Horrible Room Service at Park lane. To be noted also is that in thriteen (13) years staying here on a regular basis, not once did a Member of the Staff EVER approach a Lady I had accompany me or EVER threaten me. I CANNOT SAY THE SAME THING FOR THE PARK LANE HOTEL ON MY FIRST (AND LAST) STAY!

I own the Crowne Regency Hotel an apology and I will stay here in the future. If I get the Hotel Elizabeth at a good rate, I will again stay there sometimes. I have also stayed at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel. This is nice also but a bit more expensive.

The Parklane ellicits very differing FRs. I too have had great stays there but I prefer the Elizabeth as better prices and a newer hotel but if prices were higher would return to the Parklane. However, we all have issues with something and the good thing about the board is that we share them so we can make our judgements accordingly.

Happy to hear that my friends had fun in Cebu. I stand firm on my Opinoin of Park Lane Hotel in Cebu City. It IS the worst Hotel I have stayed at since January 1, 2000! And I have stayed at more than a dozen hotels in Hong Kong, at least ten in Thailand, a few in Japan, one in New York City (usually stay with Family there in past) , one in Portland, Oregon, five in the UK, two in Toronto, ten or more in Las Vegas, Nevada and more than thirty (30) in the Philippines. All in the past 10 1/4 years.

Hotels I DO like in Cebu City are the Marco Polo Plaza on the high end (see it on expedia for $ 82 / nt) , Hotel Elizabeth (midrange) and the Crowne Regency Hotel in Guadalupe which is slighly lowr priced (nice, big rooms and excellent room service at modest prices). On the lower range I recommend the Diplomat Hotel ($ 25 / nt on expedia) on F Ramos St below Fuente Osmena. Also the Kiwi Lodge on a quiet, side street by Pier 1.

I have never had anything even remotely like the horrible experience I had at Park Lane. I would NOT stay there again even if for free! As I mentioned I seriously considered checking out even though I has paid for three nights in advance on Agoda.

In the future I will book a new Hotel only for one night and see how it is.

Stayed at Cebu Parklane once again and this time it was a bit less positive. Bad attitude. Not such a good room as last time. Constant disturbances from the construction works. Took 35 minutes to get a tea in the restaurant. Decent (not good) food but had to fight away the cleaning staff from sweeping the floors around my feet.

I guess sometimes it boils down to luck, and this is not how it should be with a claimed 4 star hotel.

I will try something else next time.

As for females. Cebu is so much easier than Davao when it comes to P4P. Light years away from each other.
