On a trip through Java in April I made a three day stop in Yogyakarta, and decided to try to sample a little of the pussy there. Despite all that’s been said about the scene in Yogyakarta being so quiet, as I was walking on Jl Pasar Kembang across from the train station I had one woman at the entrance to one of the gangs ask me if I wanted a "massage, " and another give me a wave and lewd smile from the window of a hair salon. Thursday evening 12 pm Hufo's cafe (next to entrance road to Sheraton) was sparsely populated, and no FL could be seen/had. Female staff very friendly. Behind Hugo's - 30 m walk - is a busy Hip Hop place, Embassy? that was jam packed with local youth, including cuties. Live Rap music, very smoky. Slim pickings for middle aged expat. Was told Papillon now closed. Disappointing Yogjakarta.

Hi, this is my first post here so apologies if I have missed some particular protocol for posting in this forum.

Firstly thanks to all the people who post great info here. I recently found myself unexpectantly in Yogya for one night. I travel all the time through SE Asia for my job but rarely get a chance to enjoy myself. Knowing I would be able to escape this particular night I did a web search and found myself on this forum, although I am certain I have been here before!

I found some great info on Yogya here and headed off into the night.

I was staying at the Hyatt Regency, not my choice, just where my job took me. I had read other reports here of no action there and it certainly seemed that way to me. I thought I'd have a massage before I went out, my experience in Indonesian Hotels, even larger establishments like the Hyatt has been an extremely high percentage of happy ending massages, particularly if the massage is in room and not in the hotel's spa, but it became very apparent early on this was not going to be one of those. The masseuse even apologised to me "if her massage was not what I was looking for", it was however a great massage.

I went down Maliboro for something to eat and thought then I would look for Sosrowijayan, easy enough I found my taxi dropped me off on Maliboro right next to the Circle K described in report #160 in this thread. After a quick bite to eat I easily found Sosrowijayan Kulon, also referred to as Gang 3. From posts on here I have never seen it get much of a rating. Most comments have been pretty much like it wasn't worth it and the ladies were all old. I was expecting a Desker Road type place, like Little India Singapore, with ancient hookers in door ways. What I saw was far from that.

I was totally blown away by the sheer number of girls and the variety. From the very young (I was concerned at the age of some) through to the excessively old. But again the number of girls and the depth this lane disappeared into the dark heart of Yogya was unexpected. There were some young attractive girls "on display" in Sosrowijayan Kulon. After talking to a few and walking for over an hour back and forth in this maze of lanes I found myself in a slightly quieter area talking to a cute young thing. I was thinking of taking her back to the hotel but decided to take her right there at her place. It was of course a little dingy but I was only planning on a quick release and get out of there and keep looking around. 200, 000 rupiah for a good little fuck. Wandered around a bit more had a few beers in some of the crazy little bars. Didn't see a single other non-Asian in any of the alley ways. I got a little lost at one point so just grabbed another girl and spent another 200, 000 and eventually found my way back out to the main Jl Sosrowijayan.

I was probably ready to head home at that point but thought I may as well head down to Corona, having read many references to it here, particularly that it had better "quality" than Sosrowijayan Kulon. On the way I past a small bar called Lucifers (? ) or something like that and stopped in for some reggae, Bintang and some cute bar maids. I couldn't quite work out if the bar maids were bar girls available or what but the vibe was good and the beer cold.

It was now midnight and with the beer consumption definatley decided to check out Corona. Following the instructions from other posts here and having studied the photo also from here I stumbled down the road. Thinking I was at the JogyaMoon Hotel I walked back and forth looking for Corona. After a few minutes of seeing nothing like the photo I made up my mind to take a cab out of there when I realised I had probably had to many Bintangs as I was next to a sign saying the JogyaMoon was further down the road not actually at the JogyaMoon!

Jumped in the Taxi and asked him to take me to some girls to choose one to take back to the hotel. I wish I could tell you where he took me, it was on the road back towards the Hyatt thats all I can say. He flipped down the sun visor above the windscreen and there was a phone number written on the back of the visor. He called the number and we headed off. We turned off the main drag and turned the head lights off and drove a few hundred metres down a small road till a guy flagged us into a drive way closing a gate behind us.

I was taken into what looked like a normal house with the front room converted to a fish bowl, wall to wall mirrors, bench seating along two walls and a small reception area. The pimp told me to wait and went out the back. A short time later he returned and apologised that there were only two girls there, the rest were out working (it was about 1am by now). The two girls came out, one a tight little thing about 23 I would guess but looked like she had been at the game a long time, the other was 19 and slightly on the chubby side but looked like a lot of fun. Maybe it was the Bintang again but I took the chubby one, 300, 000 for 2 hours, back to the Hyatt. Given I had to be on the road by 0700 for work again, this was al I needed. I was happy with my choice she was a lot of fun.

From my single night in Yogya there was no shortage of action, I dod not go in search for FL at the bars, but the choice around seemed huge and the variety from one extreme to the other.

I was in Solo during that period & have been there before - long before I knew about this forum. I used to go to a fish bowl place on Jalan dr Supomo with a good choice. Last year with pleasant, nice and a little chubby Rinni for several nights.

This year I was severely disappointed. On arrival at the fish bowl place I was told it is no more. I then went with one of the rickshaw drivers, always eager to earn some extra money. He went across Solo, picked up someone else who pretended to know the best places and I ended up being presented with one girl - OK , but I like some choice. Can anyone update on the Solo scene?
