Bangkok Reports

It is illegal for the touts to parade elephants around in Bangkok. The police fine them occasionally, but 200 baht is really nothing to these assholes. They make around 2,000 baht a night (or so they claim). Whenever I see one, I just yell "Ting Tong Jai Dum!" (You're crazy and have a bad heart!) or "Chang Khun Thip Mai Dee" (Elephant in Bangkok no good).

Do not patronize the mahouts --- there are also a few organizations who help out, but the main person who can do something is YOU. There are 3 elephants walking down Soi Cowboy at the moment.....please do not feed them.

Tuesday Night

At 7 pm, I once again head off towards Nana, finding the long walk from Soi 33 very interesting as usual. The roads are busy and the paths are lined with street stalls and office girls on their way home, all providing some sort of entertainment in their own ways.

As I near Soi 21/23 Cowboy area I notice the number of ‘’hello how are you’’ street girls is rapidly increasing and it gets more apparent further towards Soi 5 and Nana too. Some appear to be quite good looking and for a moment I could be slightly interested, then I think not. The plan is to meet u with Tony for a last bit of fun before he heads off to Pattaya for some cheaper action.

Walking into Soi 4 I bump into my girl of the last 3 nights, damn she is hard to resist, looking a lot less than her real age of 23, all decked out in a ‘little girl’ smock with pigtails and all. She is heading over the way for something to eat, I offer to join her. We both have a really good street meal, chicken, rice, vegetables with drinks etc for a total of 80 Baht, amazing. During the conversation I ask her if she plans to go back to doing her normal thing of ‘one short time’ then go home, and to my surprise she says she cannot barfine – time of the month. I think phew I was lucky not to have been landed with yet another leaker this morning then, and then I imagine what the hotel room maid would also be thinking?? Maybe she would assume that I have a preference for girls flying the red flag ??? (I definitely do not).

After sending Tony a few SMS and calling him with no reply I give up and decide to cruise Nana alone. I start by checking out the Rainbow Bars as they really do have some of the nicest babes too, however the strategy is too damn pushy for my liking. I like to go into any bar, see a girl I may fancy, offer her a drink and during the conversation with her, I get a closer look and decide to barfine or not – simple stuff. However in Rainbow 2 it is a different story. I saw a girl dancing, looked pretty good, offered her a drink. She arrives with a beer, pops the ticket into my tab and asks the usual ‘’Wer U Flom & Wot u Name’’ etc then immediatley says ‘’U Barfine me’’ even before sitting down. I took a look and said ‘’maybe, maybe not’’ and with that she got up and said ‘’U no barfine me I go find other Falang’’ and tried to leave with her beer. Needless to say, the beer remained in front of me so she left in a temper, I would have rather poured it down the sink than give it to her.

I had better reception in Rainbow 3, some more stunning babes there too. I invited one, 19 and skinny, number 60, down for a drink, she stayed for quite a while as I tried to Barfine her long time. For me Long Time is the night and next day too, even the next night as well if she is any good, but she would only go short or until 8 am, no other options. As it was now after midnight I decided to move on.

Passing Angel Witch on my way I spot the Crazy Leaker from the other day, she is sitting outside talking with the girl we took to Cowboy last night. They stop me and the Crazy Leaker is once again very apologetic about what happened and thanks me for looking after her when she was so drunk. The girls talk together and tell me I am a very nice man, then ask me if I will take them both now for Long Time, I might do a few crazy things, but I am definitely not that mad and I decline.

Deciding it is more difficult than I thought to get younger good looking Go-Go girl to go Long Long Time I return to Big Dogs and end up having a further chat with last night’s cutie, just to see how she is doing. She has made 200 Baht total in Lady Drinks all night and seems happy about it too. Smelling the very good Nana Burgers (As recommended by Giotto) from the stall opposite I send her over to get me one, they are 80 Baht, with cheese. From my vantage point I can see that the Nana Hotel Car Park is getting busier as the times gets towards 2 am, maybe worth a look so off I go.

There are some dogs, but now and then I spot a good looking babe and wait for her to make the eye-contact. Prices vary, mostly 1000-1500 ST and 1500 to 2500 LT, depending on where you stay etc etc. These girls really do know how to price the market accordingly. First thing they ask, how long you are in BKK, that way they know if you already know the standard rates, then things progress from there.

Skulking in the background under the trees, I spot two girls clinging together; the skinny one is youngish and interests me, so I go over for a closer look. Her friend introduces them both, the younger one is 22 and looks quite good, but she is a Deaf/Mute and cannot talk to me or hear a word I say. However she can write damn good English and lip-read it too. Fortunately I am a patient guy and we scribble notes with the usual questions and her friend, who manages the communications very well, says she thinks I am a nice guy, please will I take the Deaf Mute Girl. The girls tell me they have been there from 9 pm and it is now 2 am, times are difficult. Now I have a taste for a bit of variety, but I look at the Deaf/Mute, this is going to be very interesting. After further note scribbling a price of 2000 Long Time is agreed and off we all go. I am a little concerned that her friend, who is following us, will want to stay with her to assist with the communications, but she says she lives near my hotel and only wants a lift up the road.

Entering the Hotel, much hand waving and nodding ensues as the quiet girl heads for the shower. We have a really good time and after a night of fucking and BBBJ's in between the scribbling, nodding and hand waving, all I can say is ‘’interesting’’ ???

Actually the girl was very nice, never moaned or asked for anything more, and she only squeaked a bit !!! Perhaps the neighbours think I have moved out !!

Time for a day of rest and maybe a cold beer to cure my Writer’s Cramp from last night.

What a kind and considerate soul you are. Helping out that deaf mute like that. However, I am left wondering if the odd squeak you heard was her tryimg to communicate in the dark that you were in the wrong hole!

Yes, I believe a few months back there was a story in the Bangkok Post that addressed the situation with the elephants in Bangkok and Pattaya and that what was being done was in fact against the law. For whatever the reason it is a sight to see, better than a monkey! But as we know the police have much better things to do than fined a elephant owner in which they most likely can't find the owner later or get the fined paid. They make a better living shaking down bars, clubs or even tourist who litter. Why mess with a elephant? one swing of the trunk and you're out and you might get shit on!
Does anyone know what the elephant did to the ant that tried to crawl up his leg?

In Pattaya, for a while it was snakes! There was a story in the Pattaya People newspaper a few months back that a farang bar owner got so mad he killed this guys snake with his bare hands. The cops arrested him and made him pay some huge fined! For me I hate snakes! The only good thing about them is that they are good for soup and BBQ, taste like chicken.

Miss J's little restaurant is going quite O.K. but she and I returned to Suzi Wong where she finished work 2 months ago. I am one of the few old customers to receive her new phone number. She used to be the top dancer in the place (not much competition) so she was a little itchy to dance to her favourite songs, mostly hip hop.

Mis JJ showed off her gold ring with a heart that her mum bought for her (Mom is in England). And then showed a very small gold braclet (quite conservative) that "Mick" bought for her. Hey I didn't anything about it. But apparently was from money collected from me after a previous multi-night booking.
So if she has not had to hock the gold, then her restaurant must be truelly doing O.K.

She had 2 bottles of tequila for the ladies and another bottle of whiskey for the boss lady. I wasn't that keen to play the ping pong balls as the girl gets only 50% of the 20 baht for each ball collected.

By coincidence one of the new girls dancing at SW, Miss J recognised as a customer at her restaurant. BKK is a very small place. LOL Both are in the same Ratchada district.

Changed some money and Miss J handed out 20 baht tips to all dancing girls and all inside staff instead.
Miss J and I wanted to stay sober so we only had 1 tequila each. but the party started to get lively when the shows commenced. Many girls were getting a bit drunk and giggly by this time.

Miss Bo was busy with another customer tonight. Miss Ying sat with us for a while but was quite unwell from the start (not from tequilas) so we bar-fined her and sent her home to bed. These were my two "twins" from the previous night.

I took Miss J home to my room after the Lesbian show before 11PM. We should have gone earlier as by the time our sex romp, with lots of kissin' and lickin' and very extended BJ, finished was 1AM and she needed to get up at 5.30AM for getting the restaurant started in the morning. Market shopping perhaps.

So ex-bar girls have trouble staying away from the bar completely. Like to have the odd return to see their friends and party a little.

I know that "Keeping Schtumm" is used by many in the East End etc., whether Jewish or not. So, I was just curious. I'm not Jewish, but certainly heard this expression more than a few times from my ex who was a London Jew, and from Hackney.

Just found out tonite that you can not barfine the girl that strikes your fancy in Bacara on Soi Cowboy before 10pm, if she is scheduled to take part in the show that nite, which means that quite some of their better looking bgs can't be barfined before 10.

They also have that other stupid rule that you need to pay 2 Lady drinks before you can barfine at any time of the nite....

Bacara is also one of the last bars on SC where patrons can still smoke (on the 1st floor)

It's understandable they'd do this. A bar survives on selling booze, not barfines. The shows attract hordes of customers and if there aren't a lot of nice-looking girls in the shows, those customers won't be back. Fifty or 100 guys buying booze for themselves and BGs yields a lot more profit than the 2,000 baht or so the bar would make on the barfines for its five top girls. Without a profit, the bar can't stay in business.

Same logic applies to the "two drinks first" rule. They don't want the bar to be reduced to a take-away joint for girls. That's been the practice, if not the rule, at Bacarra for awhile. I have a friend in NYC who's regular TG danced at Baccara. He asked me to barfine her one night while I was in BKK last November. My TG and I then took her to dinner and his girl got to go home early that night. The Bacarra lady told me it was best if all of us had a round of drinks there first and that I buy at least one drink for the mamasan - otherwise, the girl said, she'd "get trouble."

That's also why many Pattaya bars and gogos double or triple barfines during high season and why some places always have substantially different "before midnight" and "after midnight" rates. If most of the girls are barfined early, there's nothing to hold the attention of late-night customers that are usually the heaviest drinkers. Even Livingstones uses that model - the barfine drops the later it gets.

Remember, if high barfines discourage customers from taking girls away early in the evening, then the policy has been successful.

Thats really interesting Evil. I've never come across that though. Does anyone have any other examples of bars that have this policy? Guess I've either been lucky or been drunk after midnight. :-) Would be useful if we could compile a list like ML's list of MPs on barfine policies of Gogos in Bangkok and Pattaya.

That's hysterical. It means that for the cost of the bar fine and drinks, one could have already had a ST with a freelancer elsewhere, or even a stunner in a Petchaburi massage just about...I started boycotting Bacara a long long time ago

There was a bar in the south of Thai that you could BF the girl then she'd come over after work stopped... 1 am... 2 am... 3 am... whenever the bar closed down... Walked across the street got a lady and left in 5 minutes. But damn that one at the other bar is still in my memory....
