Gentlemen, this is a report from my visit to Pattaya the week of April 10 16. I'm sorry for just now posting this. I know things are evolving quickly so some of this might be outdated already, but hopefully it still helps some.

Summary of the Girls:

Looks - The quality of the girls seems lower compared to pre-COVID days. This could be due to the fact that there are just fewer girls now. I'd say there are probably only 40% of the girls compared to pre-COVID. Naturally, that means there will also be fewer 8's and 9's walking around so the perception of overall quality can be skewed. That said, whatever it is, the girls don't seem as hot as before.

Attitude - The girls seem a bit more reserved than I recall. It's almost like they're unsure what to do. This could be due to current COVID rules but might also be because many of these girls are new and never indoctrinated into the old Pattaya ways. It's been two years since Pattaya was at normal capacity so perhaps these girls will need some time to learn the trade. It's an interesting change.

Language - related to comments above, I also found more of language barrier than I recall before. Many girls could only speak basic phrases. This was especially the case on Soi 6 and some of the gentleman clubs. After two years of no tourists, it seems the girls need to brush-up on their English.

Performance - Overall, I'd say very good. Granted, I was only with 4 girls so it's a small sample size but they were all lovely. Related to my comments above, while the girls were more reserved in the bars and gogos, they were also a bit softer and more chill in the bedroom as well, which for me is a positive. Granted, this could my unique experience, but prior to COVID I found there were more instances of hardened "all-business" girls. I prefer this new sweeter Pattaya girl.

Costs:

- Gogo drinks: 80 160 THB.

- Lady drinks: 150-180.

- Bar fines: the average rate I encountered was around 1,000 THB.

- ST: $2,000 - 3,000 THB.

- LT: I didn't really ask, but it seems most girls only want ST. This could also be a COVID-related change but I recall things were heading in this direction before, so it's hard to say.

Summary of Pattaya:

Walking Street - There were definitely signs of life when I was there but it was only about 1/3 of the of pre-COVID days. Baccara, Pin-up, Tantra, Fahrenheit, The Dollhouse, Sapphire, Glass House, and Windmill were all open. Although, the number of girls was maybe 50% of normal. As an example, the upstairs areas at the gogos that have them were not open. Pin-up and Windmill were the busiest I saw. Windmill required a COVID test to enter but the process was pretty fast and easy. IBar was also open but they only had the back section open and upstairs at Insomnia was also closed. They required a COVID test to enter but I was able to show them my test from Windmill and they let me in each time.

LK Metro - Nearly every bar and gogo was open, but like Walking Street they were not at full capacity. As an example, only the downstairs at Kink was open which I was bummed to see. When I was there all the bars and gogos in the city had to close by midnight but there was an afterhours bar in between two of the gogos sort of across from Kink which was a good find.

Tree Town - This was a new area for me. I didn't go there in the past, but it seems they have built it into more of a destination. There are many bars and a large food area. It's a nice vibe and it seems many of the girls go there after the bars and gogos close to eat, so it's a good after-hours pick-up spot. Aside from that, the entire area always felt like it was going to become a big party that never quite materialized. As a side note, if you're interested in buying weed, I was able to score some here from the ladies who sell Viagra and other things. They seemed less shady than some of the touts on walking street and there were no hassles.

Soi 6 - Most of the bars were open, but the energy seemed very low. Per my comments above about the girls, it's like they weren't interested in making money or weren't comfortable speaking English to customers. The quality of the girls was also low in my opinion. Whatever it was, the vibe just seemed a bit off.

Gentlemen's Clubs - There seems to be a surge in gents clubs compared to what I recall before. There are some new places like High Rollers on Soi Pothole and there was a good selection of girls. I will have to do more exploration on these places next time.

Soapys - I didn't explore this time so not sure about the status. Will have to check this out next time.

Overall, Pattaya is definitely not back yet, but it was still a great time and the momentum is building so it's only a matter of time now!

A lot of ladies don't want to go LT because they have Thai boyfriends. They tell their boyfriend that they "only drink" in the bar. Since the boyfriend can't go into the bar, the lady can do everything inside the bar or ST room, but must come home at the end of the shift.

Thailand will allow night clubs and karaoke bars to resume regular hours starting in June. Entertainment venues, pubs, and massage parlours and others may open until midnight after June.

Starting June 1, Thailand will also drop a requirement for unvaccinated travellers to quarantine. They will either have to take an test on arrival or show a negative COVID-19 test before departure, he said.

Evening after 11 PM hunt for girls in Soi6 bar at a reduced BF after spending some time with a beer to build up GFE. If you are regular in few bars the hospitality will be high. This will be the first post of a 3-week stay in Pattaya and the first installation of a series of reports as I make my way across the big SEA mongering hubs: Pattaya, Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Angeles during the next 3 months. I'm curious to see how things have changed since my last visits in 2018 and 19 and am looking forward to giving some valuable on the ground reporting.

I am a seasoned monger from the USA, with experience in South and Central America, the Caribbean and SouthEast Asia. Mid 40's fit- not a pretty boy but not bad looking. Pattaya at the moment seems to be light on the younger (below 50) crowd and heavy on the British expat side. At my hotel near LK Metro, just about every monger is an aging Aussie or Brit- the Brits with completely unintelligible northern or working class accents and usually some physical handicap like a limp. The standard Pattaya expat, roughly 60-67 years old, loosely fitting cargo shorts, sandals / clogs, loosely fitting faded t-shirt with large gut, pasty and bald, weathered face looks like spent driving a truck somewhere in Scotland or manager of a Sydney warehouse, faded tattoo sleeve- accompanied by a short, slightly dumpy, slightly hot Thai girl about 30-35. In the gym you see a different crowd- younger Russians, Arabs, and Brits with more intelligible accents. No Chinese tourists, some Koreans.

[B]The Girls[/B]

I've been to Buakhao, LK, Pothole, Boomerang, Treetown and Soi 6- let me know if I'm missing anywhere. From this sample I am not impressed- the majority are average or below average- not bangable. There is always at least one or two girls at a Soi 6 bar that you might want to fuck, but usually they are taken, or if not they are going to be super new to the game and inexperienced. The numbers and ratio is skewed in our favor- but if you are looking for 6's and above- it involves work.

[B]Beer Bars[/B]

I hate Beer Bars- I suspect they are designed for pub-loving British alcoholic geriatric men who can't really have sex anymore but want female attention. It does not seem like there is much sex on offer at Beer Bars on Pothole or Buakhao, and it doesn't look like the guys are really trying to get it. The main activity seems to be having a beer with other British / Aussie expats and talking in unintelligible Northern accents about British football teams. Might as well be speaking Arabic to me. I did a full circuit of the track a few times and concluded it was a waste. If you are like me, and like having sex with women as opposed to trying to make friends with geriatric British men, avoid these like the plague- all the girls are below average as well, even if there seems to be thousands of them. Any slightly attractive girl will already be taken by one of the aforementioned mongers talking to her in a totally incoherent Liverpool (Scousie?) accent as she pretends to understand and nods her head attentively. I have no idea what the rate / barfine is here nor do I want to know.

[B]Gentlemans Clubs[/B]

My first experience was terrible. [B]The Den[/B], located at the end of Soi Pothole, looked more promising at least than the BeerBars, but after wasting 2 hours there talking to 2 cousins from Loei- both very slender and petite, just my type- I concluded that this "Gentlemans Club" was basically a fancy beer bar as neither one of these two were available for sex and the emphasis here seemed to be getting men to pay for expensive lady drinks. I did not fly 26 hours to buy drinks for a conversation in baby-english and google translate with a 19 year old Isaan girl. I asked the mamasan what the deal was and her answer was evasive. I would avoid this place if you like sex with girls, as it does not seem to be on offer here.

The next day I had much better luck at [B]Slutz[/B], a G club on Soi Boomerang. The street is open, but a mere shadow of its former greatness. In a way this is a bit of a relief as I recall the overwhelming gauntlet of years past- the senses overwhelmed, and decision algorithms severely impaired. The beach side of the street seems to have opened more- with a few of the Nightwish bars and similar operations up and running. I feel like the pretty sexy girls are still doing the live-streams though- as really only a couple girls looked bangable to me on the entire street. After lingering for a bit at a few bars I finally chose a girl- can't remember the bar but all the girls were wearing red.
