Thanks for the update. It wouldn't surprise me. The powers that be wanted to redirect traffic to the areas that they controlled.
The bancas were are pretty hairy trip sometimes even the big public ones. Several went down to join Neptune so it would take a braver man than me to do the trip in a normal speed boat. Also, if it's not door to door, what's the point??
Cheers. G.
Thanks G,
Did bankas in Bohol years ago and it was an experience.
These days to get from Sabang to Manila I usually do the Sikat option for about 1500 p.
It's in a big fastcat boat (you don't notice too much movement) and then you scramble for the bus once you hit Batangas to get to Manila.
Not door to door but works every time.
I'm no expert on PG, although I love the area. I'm sure there are ways to find girls beyond the bars, but the bars are the obvious thing. On the other hand, I had more fun on my previous trip, when I brought a girl with me.
Hope this helps.
It sure helps Errol.
Any info we can offer to those that are curious about the area can only help.
I love PG also. Mainly because I have some really good friends in PG now and it's a nice coastal spot within easy reach of Manila.
Like any place, it takes experience to know how everything works.
We have some really good contributors on this forum who offer some great advice about travelling all over the The Phils.
Happy days _ Phil.
Hi Guys,
Just letting you know the Batangas port upgrade has gone ahead and is now quite impressive.
You no longer have to deal with all the vendors and touts before entering the port gates.
Once you're inside, you're free from hassles.
As soon as you get off a bus, or out of your transport upon arriving there, you still may have someone wanting to help you with your bags, but it's nothing like it used to be.
Just tell them to fuck off in the nicest possible way.
There's also a 7/11 opposite the port entry, so I usually stock up on stuff there for the wait and the trip to Puerto Galera and beyond.
_ Phil.
Where are the street girls standing on the beach path? I can find them once I get there but that does me no good when I need to know now to find a hotel at least semi-close to where they are. Please name 2 businesses nearby so I can at least find one on google maps. I was there twice before covid so I know they are there. Just worried what the quality, quantity, and price are now. But no way will I bring my own. I will spend the first 3 days at the north end of the island just to vegetate to get away from people, noise, and grim after being in Jakarta.
Any nice islands nearby to check out with white beach and baby blue water? Corona is too far and for a possible future trip.

Any nice islands nearby to check out with white beach and baby blue water? Corona is too far and for a possible future trip.
Nope, no islands, nice, or ugly, nearby, but Boracay itself, it supposed to be the nicest place in the PH. So why go there if you want to get away from it? The only other islands are actually close to the Caticlan, and are overrun with tour boats, because there is no other place to take the tourist's money for the island hoping scam, nothing memorable beside a cave with few hundred koreans taking pics inside.
There is a lovely beach at the north end of the island called Puka Beach, but it becomes crowded at the times when the tour boats are stopping by.
If you book any of the expensive hotels in the NW of the island you will get your peace and quiet, they are mostly deserted, and they have their own beach, because people don't want to stay too far away from the restaurants, bars, shops, and everything else that brings them to Boracay.
About the street girls: people keep writing about them here, but I didn't see any, just ladyboys lurking in the shadows. I was there 3 times last year, maybe it changed since.

Corona is too far and for a possible future trip.
If you want to get away from it all go to Tablas (1. 5 hrs from Caticlan by Bangka boat) there you will find deserted white sand beaches. There are FLs on Boracay. Some on the beach, some in big hotel bars. But they have to be discrete and they aren't plentiful. Best bet might be to chat up a shop girl in the'Mall if you have some game. I've been to Boracay twice in the last year but always brought my own pussy. Grab a girl in Cebu is my suggestion.
Where are the street girls standing on the beach path?
Info from couple of years ago.
There's a few (not that many) on the boardwalk in Station 2. They hang out in front of that bar that has live music. It was the only bar that was crowded (it's not that big) with Fhilipinos and tourist every night. Logically, the freelancers would hang out in front of the only bar that is crowded with tourist. I walked along all 3 stations during the late evening time; that bar was the only thing happening I observed. Quality and quantity were very poor. I never went to the nightclubs.
Any nice islands nearby to check out with white beach and baby blue water? Corona is too far and for a possible future trip.
Nice? I would say no, but there are at least 2 islands nearby. I rented a private banca and did a tour. As you face the ocean from station 2, there is a lagoon / bay to the right of you. Then to the left of you on the other side, there are 2 islands. One island has some caves where you can pay extra and tour. You can look at Maps, and google for the info. The problem with Boracay is that the beach is the only thing that is nice.
About the street girls: people keep writing about them here, but I didn't see any, just ladyboys lurking in the shadows. I was there 3 times last year, maybe it changed since.
Hi OAU. Have to agree there are many chicks with dicks, and anywhere in the Phils.
You get quite a lot around the Station 2 bars, but there's other talent lurking behind the palm trees checking you out, as I have experienced.
In Boracay, I have still relied on my trusty approach in The Phils of asking the hotel security, the chick behind the desk, the tuk tuk driver etc etc where can I find a pretty girl? Admittedly, results have been mixed, but I've always got one way or the other and had a good night.

Just google accommodation Boracay Station 2.
Just get friendly with a few locals and let them know what your intentions are and you'll probably get sorted. It's not as if you can walk into a bar in Boracay and make a choice.
So yes, there are still options on the beach path. Have the right friendly attitude because I've seen them dismiss obnoxious, drunk arseholes _ Phil.
I said I have been there twice before. I won't ask any more questions. I have not been there for 5+ years and still know more than you guys. From my memory it is south of d'Mall down to around OM Bar. If you see lady boys then the real girls usually stand behind them. Why? The LBs are aggressive with us and them. You do not see the girls because you are trying to fend of the POS LBs. The real girls are hard to tell that they are real girls because it is dark and you need to be up close and personal in order to tell. I will know in my first night passing by once or twice. Usually there are 2 locations with a few girls. The island is more and more family oriented so many girls keep moving and just make eye contact as they pass by. Simple. Also, just ask a few local guys. Very simple.
Two pictures but neither showing a white beach or baby blue water that I asked for.
You ask "get away from it" which I said people, noise, and grim in Jakarta. It is worse than Manila and I have been here 2 months. Being around a lot of people on a beautiful beach with perfect sunsets with a sea breeze is vastly better than smog, endless traffic, and noise from Muslim chants every night all over the city at 4:00 am for 15 minutes. I need three nights at the north end before dealing with the people bugging with tours and LBs.
Tablas Island is about 300 times larger than Boracay. No beach listed. How exactly does that help me? I can find a quiet island. FYI the Philippines has over 7000 of them.
The point was I needed someone who has been to Boracay AND to a similar white sandy beach and baby blue water. Pictures on the web are so photo shopped it is getting more and more useless.
I said I do not want to bring my own but you guys feel the need to tell me that you bring your own. I do not care what you do.
All I wanted was:
Sugar Ass Island (Magic Beach).
FL near XYZ Pizza or ABC Hotel.

...
That's exactly what I wanted to show you, what's on the other 2 islands much closer to Caticlan than to Boracay: nothing, no white beaches, just a cave with 1000 koreans, just as I described.
Tablas Island doesn't have nothing to do with Boracay, therefore nobody here knows about it, is like a 2-3 hours boat ride away, if there is any boat willing to take you there, more likely you have to try doing that from Caticlan.
Don't be so arrogant telling everybody that you know more from 5 years ago than they do, in case you didn't figured out by now, after the scamdemic, everything has changed, in better or worst, businesses, gathering places, people habits, prices, etc. lots of previous info is obsolete or irrelevant. Yes, about 5 years ago, when everybody was saying that there is no action on Boracay, I did find a place with about 10-15 girls for rent, 1-1.5k each, on the road going to the E side, but is not here anymore, maybe it disappeared, maybe it moved, who knows. Go to 7/11 close to where the tour guides are gathering and ask for "Bob Marley" if he still around he'll point you in the right direction for a few hundert peso
The name of the bar that you're looking for is Nigi-Nigi, they have rooms, but nothing special, and very noisy.

Yes, I agree. It's a really noisy bar on the beach with nice rooms out the back and a regular, average, loud band playing every night. I personally wouldn't classify it as a pick-up joint. Old mate will work it out. Some people want all the work done for them.
I'll be back in Boracay in March and will report tips and hints for those interested _ Phil.

You go to the store asking for leather sandals. They do not have that but still waste your time by showing you the soccer shirts they do have.
I never asked for your experiences or what you you thought. Only a name of an island and the name of a beach like White Beach on Boracay Island. Also, closest businesses to where the street girls stand. Obviously not so simple.
I ask for a hamburger place in Angeles and get the names of pizza places in Subic. Thanks so much.
FYI: no questions asked.

No nice Islands, the bar with the live band with lots of people outside is Nigi-Nigi, the peace and quiet beaches are in NW, most of the shadow crawlers are LBs, Tablas Island is very far. What can be more clearer than that?
I may be wrong? Yes, but not off topic.
