I'm in Seoul for about a week and have spent some time reading the forum. I enjoy mongering like the rest of you, but also the challenge of an unpaid encounter now and then.

I have read lots of Itaewon (and have been there several times), but still don't know where to go for an evening out and a shot at an interesting evening.

Brian666 (btw. You are my hero;.)) had a great report on what to watch out for (rip off scams) but did not mention any names of decent bars to start in (bars that are not scams to begin with).

My last trip in Seoul was two weeks ago (I live in the US), and I've been meaning to write up a report. So here goes

Monday. Trip to Yongsan, took me a while to get oriented. Finally found a nice girl on the south end. Not much to report other than she was foreigner friendly. Damage was 70K Won.

Wednesday. Had a late evening at work, ended up back at the hotel (JW Marriot) around 11: 00. Met a working girl in the bar. She wanted 300K won (I laughed). Ended up agreeing on 140K won for 2x shots. Experience was OK, but not worth writing home about.

Friday. Cruised 588. Not foreiger friendly, but did it for the experience. Ended up back at the hotel. Same girl as above in the Bar. She was working two guys at the bar. They ended up stiffing her for drinks (she ordered something expensive, they refused to pay). She tried to get me to pay. I laughed. Ended up with 1 hr for 100K won (She had to cover her bar tab). She was strange this time. Wanted to go BB, kept ranting about she was a Korean woman and didn't need a condom. I was not about to go there. We went at it and about 10 minutes in, she tells me to "finish". I laugh. Would not repeat.

Any info is appreciated.

I am no Korean but I have studied both the language and the culture for nearly two years. I can go anywhere by myself and I can have enough of a conversation to get by. I really appreciate a compliment from a Korean and you are right because alot of the KOrean guys I see when I am in these places are shocked to see my white ass there!

It is easy for a foreigner to get off in Itaewon or in the Barber Shop Poles but if you really want to experience the best that Korea has to offer you need to go where Koreans go.

I've managed to get a couple of freebies in places and I think it is because:

1. I go to places many foreigners don't go and

2. I can make the girls feel relaxed by speaking to them in Korean even if it isn't perfect. (in fact that is where I practice alot of my speaking! )

I always encourage the people who read my posts to study because in my experience it really does pay off. I know that white-guys usually don't go to the places I go but that is what I like about it.

IMO I recommend that more foriegners try out places just on a whim. Don't go to the places that you already know. Try a new dae-dal-bang or any place that has massage written in korean out front. Worst case scenario is the say that they don't take foreigners (though that has only happened to me in smaller towns outsie of Seoul). This number should work. I have seen her the last time to Seoul, so I do not know what the problem was, when she hung up on you. Maybe she was with her boy friend at the time.

I am coming up on another trip to Korea in a few weeks. I am looking for information from some people playing in Korea now. I actually lived in Korea from 1983 to 1993, but it is a whole different country today! The games are different today, and it’s changing all the time! I remember first getting to Korea a girl drink was 1000 won and an all-nighter was $20. You could go to the red light areas and for 5000 Won get FS, with out a question. Sometimes things do not get better with time! Thank god that Thailand has not changed too much!

While I get to Korea 1 to 2 times a year on business and do not have a lot of time to play, but I do have a little. Most of the time it is after dinner meeting, but I can not be out all night, because of meeting in the morning.

I am looking for some good information in and around the Itaewon area. I usually stay at the Grand Hyatt, because of its central location for my business meeting. So Itaewon is close as easy to get too. I speak some Korean and understand a lot (lost of the spoken Korean because of living away from Korea for so long).

In the bars in Itaewon there is a lot Philippines Girls working, what do they change for a night of fun? Are they available? There was a few in the UN Club that were good looking.

Outside of the Hill, what are the best places in Itaewon to pick up Korean Girls? Freelance, housewives, college students, or Pro's. Costs?

The Korean Hostess bars in Itaewon, what are the girls changing for a night of fun?

Are there bars in the Itaewon are with Russian girls working? Cost?

In November, the action at the bar at the Hyatt JW was not good. How is the action today?

I miss the old days in Korea; I could play all day and all night and understood the whole scene! I wish I knew it that way still! Any help would be great!!!

Last time i stayed at the Ramada which is next to the Dont tell mama booking club....well this place is all older milfs. Can anyone recommend a hotel to stay at which is within walking distance of a good booking club for younger girls?

Just a word of advice to all mongerers tyring these booking clubs - bring a local with you or someone who can speak and communicate with the waiters.

You will need to bargain/negotiate with the waiters about drink prices and service items. Given there is a set prices for tables and/or rooms, you can always benefit from getting friendly with your waiters, thus providing better services - booking and beer.

And look sharp.

I am hoping to have a wingman when I am there the week of the 12th...will have to see if Seoul is in his business plans. I feel I have to check this situation out with Korean girls being as fine as they are and this possibly being my last time in Seoul this year. Booking clubs and/or Ktvs are the way to go in Seoul i hear. I am also hearing about working girl hanging out at the hotel bars like the Hyatt. Dont know about the quality though.
