It was never a driver I dealt with. It was always that I was on the street and a guy on foot approached asking if I wanted a girl. When I said yes, they would make a call and the girl would show up on the back of a bike.

All the girls that the guys called for me were dressed the same as the girls I saw in the bar, in like a short sexy dress. So where do you say they come from? Damn near the same thing happens in Thailand. The girls who work in the gogo bar go for $80 or so, but if you catch them when they are off work and at the disco you just pay $30 for all night. Different venues have different prices, but some of the same girls migrate between venues.

But what the guy said makes a lot of business since to me. A girl is sitting in a bar doing nothing and not making anything. Why not run out for an hour and do a side job? Of course it will be less than the normal bar cost and everyone still has to get their cut, but some money is better than no money.

Apologies for the delay with this as this happened in early Feb, just before Tet. The details are a little fuzzy as a result. I would like to start by saying that members generally warned me about the lack of action, mainly freelance, before my visit. I arrived in the evening and got a local sim card at the airport. My hotel was the 70 hotel on Bui Vien. Just a few doors from Go2 bar. Small and family run but I had agreed to be able to take ladies in when I booked. My first stop was Hai Ba Trung. I hit one of the bars and was surprised at the style with mamasan etc. Bit disappointed as drinks pricey and girls quoted at $60 for ST to go to my hotel. I tried a trick that was reported here by another member, with one of the few girls that came up to me to strike conversation. I quietly asked her if she had a mobile and wanted to call me if she ever wanted to do business for $25. She refused completely. Leaving there, I headed to Go2. Soon after sitting there, which was quite busy with tourists, a well-dressed, plain-looking Vietnamese lady gestured to me from afar. I agreed for her to join me. Soon we were chatting and the conversation soon turned to business. We eventually agreed on 800k for 2 hrs at my hotel with all items on my menu being agreed. Said she was late 30's or early 40's and looked it. Quite heavily built by Viet standards. Lives a far way out of town and visits with a friend who she said had just gone home. Back at the hotel, she had a nice pair of average size tits, bit of a belly and was surprisingly shaven. She spoke decent english too. DATY was good and her oral techniques were good. DFK was decent too. Sex was average due to her size and video / pics were fine. Took her number as she said she might be able to arrange a pregnant girl.

Next day the girl from night before said she didn't want to arrange pregnant girl because it would mean 'bad luck' for her. Unfortunately, like a few other places during my trip, the previous experience turned out to be 'beginner's luck'. No sign of any girls. I always ended up back at Go2 and was known as the 'water man' as I found that to be the best value drink there. The 2nd night, I saw the same girl from night before and she sat with me and her friend who was a hot 20-yr old. There was another working girl at the bar and she was quite hot too. The girls I was sat with tried to negotiate with her for me but she insisted on 1mil for an hour. I ended up asking the friend and she asked how much and I offered 700k and she refused. Annoyed I didn't negotiate further. She soon left with a young japanese guy who showed up and I think she actually had a hotel room nearby. A couple of nights I saw the same sexy lady with a tattoo on the back of her neck walking around the bar. Presumed she was a working girl but she never tried to get my attention and I presumed she would be out of my budget anyway. The girl from the first night always wanted me to see her again but I kept putting her off. I decided I would offer her 500k if I hadn't got a better option on my last night. I had seen her on the Thurs night and she was in Go2 with her friend on the Fri. She was nowhere to be seen on Sat and on my last night (Sun) I texted her and she replied she doesn't work at weekends and was happy to see me on Mon for 500k! Alas it was not to be. She had even said before that she would allow cum on her face next time I saw her. I did see what I suspected were motorbike girls parked up on the crossroads that Go2 is on but never explored that option due to language issues and concerns I might be wrong! For various reasons, any venue other than my hotel room for action was not an option, so that cut down a lot of opportunities. In closing, not one of the best mongering locations in my opinion but more freelance opportunities than some members had me believe. As someone has said before, I have to agree that the best place for Viet ladies at decent prices has to be Cambodia, in my experience.

There was one curious event that I missed. Just before leaving the hotel for the airport, I asked reception who had been cleaning my room in order tp tip them. I searched on every floor with the name I was given and was directed to a lady who was older. She spoke passable english and was really grateful for the tip. The unusual part was when she started conversation about me and everything. I found myself having a similar conversation as I do when talking to a freelancer! She said she was 43 and had kids. When she found out I was single she started saying she was surprised as I was so handsome etc. She even said she 'loved' me (I presume she meant she fancied me). In parting I told her she was beautiful and she even allowed us to kiss each other on the cheek. Not sure exactly what her intentions were but I suspect she was open to P4P and am sure I could have achieved this if I had more time and had met her earlier in my stay.

Now that I look at details of your story, if this is happening in the early morning hours after the HBT bars close, then I suppose it is possible some of those girls are doing this after work to try to get extra business. I still have my doubts though. You know what, there might be a way to find out. If you go with one of these girls, ask her which bar she works in. Then go there later and see if she really does or not.

There have always been touts working in that general area of District 1 who would approach foreigners and then bring girls over for them to go with, but always one at a time. Those guys don't seem to want anyone to know where the girls are being kept. (I would like to have known so I could have gone there and chose the one I want rather than have to wait around for the one the tout chose, then say No, then wait again for the next possible candidate. Such a ridiculous system).

About the costumes they wear, whenever the girls leave the bar they get changed into street clothes. So if they are wearing the bar costumes out on the street, that would also seem suspect. They could be doing that to give the impression that they work in the bars.

Anyway, it is possible I'm wrong. But to me it seems like this doesn't totally add up, and it's easy to imagine why the tout would lie and make that claim.

The touts are out much earlier but at the earlier times I kept telling them no.

Freelancer is a hooker working without an organisation or building or pimp or moto guy.

Freebie is a chick who will bang you without money or remuneration of any kind.

Why don't people talk much about Freelancers? Everyone knows the bar you go to find them in and they are mentioned on here. 50% of the girls in Apocalpyse Now or Go2 at 3am will be p4p. Most other upmarket clubs have a smattering of them that are harder find. Lots more semi-pro's in no sex service industry but requires time / language skills to develop.
